“Now Mom has even cut off his monthly allowance of 500 yuan! Why? Xuehui? Why is this happening?” Xu Xuehui also felt distressed and after a moment of thought, she said, “Sis, Mom favors Junzhe more. Look at how well-behaved Junzhe is! I think Mom now dislikes Xu Mo even more, especially after he threatened her with a knife. It’s natural for Mom to feel that way!”
“But he’s still her biological son! How can she be so biased?” Tears streamed down Xu Wanting’s face. “I understand Xu Mo now. I know where his despair stems from!”
Xu Xuehui looked pained, unsure of what to say.
“And then there’s Third Sister Xu Manni, she’s been even more excessive!” Xu Wanting, tearfully, continued, “Xuehui, do you know what Xu Manni has done?”
Xu Xuehui looked troubled and sighed, “Sis, Manni… she has always wanted to drive Xu Mo away! Otherwise, she wouldn’t have hidden his phone! Manni has indeed done much worse than I have. Once, she took Sixth sister Xu Yuanchan, Junzhe, and Xu Mo to an amusement park and intentionally left Xu Mo behind, only bringing back Xu Yuanchan and Junzhe! Once you see what Manni has done, you’ll understand!”
Xu Wanting dared not look at what Xu Manni had done.
In reality, it was quite similar to what Xu Xuehui had said. Xu Manni’s actions were more atrocious, chilling to the core.
One incident stood out—there was a time when no one was home except Xu Manni and Xu Mo. The others were out working. Xu Manni wasn’t feeling well and rested in the living room. Suddenly, she developed a high fever, convulsions, and started foaming at the mouth.
Seeing this, Xu Mo was shocked and swiftly carried Xu Manni to a hospital several kilometers away for treatment.
After running several kilometers to the hospital, Xu Mo also collapsed from exhaustion.
Upon being saved by the doctor, Xu Manni immediately erupted in anger at Xu Mo, accusing him of touching her, dirtying her, and claiming that his act of carrying her for kilometers was what made her so ill.
Xu Wanting was somewhat aware of this incident.
In a group chat, Xu Manni continued to berate Xu Mo, blaming him for tarnishing her image.
“Manni believes Xu Mo returned to claim inheritance and steal things! Xu Mo had been sneaky many times before and Manni caught him in the act! Manni even saw Xu Mo sneaking into Mom’s room!” Xu Xuehui explained, “That’s probably why Manni despises Xu Mo so much!”
“Did you talk to Manni about this?” Xu Wanting looked at her.
Xu Xuehui shook her head, “Manni is probably reveling in this now! She has long wanted to drive Xu Mo away!”
Xu Wanting’s expression faltered as she remembered Xu Manni’s temperament, finding it difficult to accept.
“Sis, should we tell Manni?” Xu Xuehui asked her.
“There’s no point in telling her now. Didn’t you say she’s enjoying this situation?” Xu Wanting sniffled, “Actually, I think it might be better if Xu Mo doesn’t come back!”
“Sis…” Xu Xuehui was surprised.
“Xuehui, we owe him an apology! As the eldest sister, with responsibilities akin to a mother, I have never said a fair word to him or done anything for him! He has wanted to visit my company so many times, but I never allowed it! Even the security guards chased him away!”
Xu Xuehui fell silent.
“You too!” Xu Wanting stared at her. “As the Second Elder Sister, you’re almost the same as me. You won’t even let him touch your old sports car!”
Xu Xuehui didn’t know what to say. She just felt her heart heavy, unable to release the pent-up frustration.
“I don’t know what Mom and Dad were thinking! Let’s see how things unfold!” Xu Wanting didn’t want to say more. The more she spoke, the heavier her sense of guilt weighed on her.
Xu Mo was right; they would face consequences, they would definitely face retributions!
“Eldest, are you in your room?” Suddenly, Xie Bingyan’s voice came from outside.
“I’m in here!” Xu Wanting quickly wiped her eyes.
With that, she went to open the door!
