“Wow! So impressive!”
“Could we possibly escape now?”
Whispers came from behind, and their voices were filled with undisguised excitement.
Seizing the moment, Shen Yu’an glanced back at them.
She winked at the girls who had peeked their heads out from the cellar and said, “Stay hidden inside.”
The girls quickly withdrew back into the cellar.
The young girls, who were around fifteen or sixteen years old, were utterly captivated by Shen Yu’an’s actions, their hearts pounding erratically.
“Ah, she’s really cool!”
One girl whispered while covering her mouth.
Yun Niang watched in disbelief as Shen Yu’an even managed to exchange glances with those girls. She was so frustrated that she was nearly biting her lips until they bled.
Through clenched teeth, she hissed, “Everyone, attack together! If she escapes, we’re all finished. The higher-ups won’t spare us!”
Upon hearing Yun Niang’s words, the men glared at Shen Yu’an with ferocity in their eyes.
That’s right, if these people were exposed due to someone escaping, their superiors would definitely not spare them.
After all, they were working on behalf of a certain master on the other side, and these captured girls and children were all of significant importance.
With this in mind, they charged towards Shen Yu’an.
However, they were cautious because they realized that a promising individual like Shen Yu’an might still have value. Their movements were restrained at every turn.
Shen Yu’an also noticed this and took advantage of their hesitation to put on a show, knowing that they wouldn’t dare escalate the situation too much.
Before long, Shen Yu’an had managed to strike each of them a few times, causing them to yelp in pain and clumsily dodge her blows.
The courtyard was in chaos, and Shen Yu’an spotted the woman named Yun Niang standing against the wall, her face filled with impatience as she observed the scene.
Shen Yu’an intentionally led the battle towards where Yun Niang was positioned.
In the next moment, the chaos of the fight reached Yun Niang, and Shen Yu’an took the opportunity to deliver two swift blows to her.
As Shen Yu’an struck her, she couldn’t help but curse inwardly at Yun Niang. Despite being “sisters” and both being women, Yun Niang had dragged her into this mess and even dragged more people into it!
Shen Yu’an deliberately aimed at the two most vulnerable spots on Yun Niang’s body, and finally delivered a blow to her tailbone.
With one firm strike from Shen Yu’an’s bat, Yun Niang let out a miserable scream and collapsed to the ground.
Hmph, I’ll show you what real pain feels like after you lied to me, saying I couldn’t move due to my tailbone hurting! Let’s see how you deal with this genuine pain!
Yun Niang’s forehead was beaded with sweat from the pain, yet she couldn’t admit where she was hurting.
The men quickly intervened and pulled Yun Niang away from Shen Yu’an’s bat.
The pain in Yun Niang’s tailbone made it difficult for her to stand or sit properly. She leaned against the wall, managing to give orders despite her excruciating discomfort.
“Seems like none of you have had a decent meal. You can’t even catch a young girl.”
The men distanced themselves from Shen Yu’an, warily keeping their eyes on her.
Hearing Yun Niang’s scolding, they responded with mournful expressions, “Yun Niang, this damned girl is too strong, she’s slippery like an eel. We’re afraid of hurting her and lowering her value.”
Their arms and legs were now stinging painfully from the beating they had received from this “damned girl.”
Yun Niang’s face darkened as she berated, “Can’t you all use your brains? What’s the use of having that face if you can’t even catch a person!”
Boom~
A lightning bolt streaked across the sky, illuminating the courtyard.
The light fell upon Shen Yu’an’s face, and a cold smirk curled up at the corner of her lips.
Soon, a gentle drizzle started falling, gradually gaining intensity.
The raindrops fell like pearls, and Shen Yu’an found herself surrounded by a group of enforcers.
These few individuals exchanged glances, none eager to be the first to charge.
The rain grew heavier, stoking their frustration even further.
If their comrades in the building were to find out that they couldn’t catch a single girl, it would be utterly embarrassing.
They grabbed wooden sticks from the wall, holding them in their hands, and once again charged towards Shen Yu’an as the rain poured down.
The imminent battle was about to erupt, and this time Shen Yu’an didn’t hold back either, striking at their vital points.
Unnoticed by everyone, Yun Niang and a man quietly entered the room along the wall.
They couldn’t afford to continue the fight; the commotion was drawing attention, and they couldn’t risk complications before they left.
They planned to use the people from the cellar as leverage to make Shen Yu’an stop.
The girls who had peeked their heads out from the cellar were now holding their breath, watching the fight outside with bated hearts.
“Ah! Help! Someone save us!” One of them screamed in desperation.
The man who entered with Yun Niang seized one of the girls by her hair and forcefully dragged her out of the cellar.
The girl being dragged bumped against the edge of the cellar entrance, her body scraping against it as she was ruthlessly pulled out.
Shen Yu’an heard the commotion and turned her gaze to the source. She could see that the girl’s half body had already been pulled out.
Beneath the part of the cellar that Shen Yu’an couldn’t see, the other girls were clutching onto the legs of the girl being dragged, desperately trying to prevent her from being pulled out.
Their eyes were filled with panic and their cheeks were red. They knew that if the girl was dragged out, she would be subjected to more abuse from those people.
The girl being dragged out was in agony, her face contorted with pain, and she clung tightly to the man’s hand.
Watching the scene unfold, Shen Yu’an couldn’t hold back her frustration. She snatched the wooden stick from the person who had confronted her and hurled it straight at the man who was dragging the girl.
“Thud!”
Shen Yu’an used all her strength, and the back of the man’s head was struck by the wooden stick, causing blood to spurt out. He toppled forward and fell to the ground.
The girls in the cellar couldn’t see what was happening above and continued to pull desperately.
With the loss of the man’s grip, the girl who had been dragged out let out a cry and slid back into the cellar.
Instinctively, her hand grabbed onto something as she slid, inadvertently pulling it into the cellar with her.
The person pulled in was Yun Niang, who had been standing by the cellar’s entrance.
Shen Yu’an was simultaneously dealing with the people around her while keeping an ear out for any movements inside the room. That’s how she noticed it was Yun Niang who had been pulled into the cellar.
Only then did Shen Yu’an refocus her attention and concentrate on the individuals who had been constantly harassing her.
Outnumbered and facing their sticks in the rain, Shen Yu’an found herself in a tough situation. Those men swung their sticks wildly, and she couldn’t avoid every strike, taking a few hits herself. This only fueled her desire to end the fight swiftly.
“Not playing with you any longer.”
Shen Yu’an’s voice was cold as she uttered these words. She used her psychic power to slow down the movements of the individuals present, making their actions sluggish.
Seizing the opportunity, Shen Yu’an swiftly knocked down the individuals without showing any mercy.
Observing the subdued figures on the ground, Shen Yu’an decisively left them behind and walked into the room.
Once inside, Shen Yu’an shook off the rainwater from her body. She twisted her clothes, letting out a significant amount of water with each squeeze.
Already dealing with her monthly cycle, and having been soaked for so long, Shen Yu’an felt a slight dizziness in her head.
Bracing herself, she walked towards the cellar entrance, eager to see the situation inside after Yun Niang had been pulled in.
