The Beginning of Natural Disaster, I Won by Hoarding Tens of Billions of Supplies | Chapter 39: Capturing Live Pigs

[edited]

Don’t underestimate the girl just because she’s young, she has a dark heart.

The residents of the 8th and 12th floors are her classmates. Despite this, she broke a woman’s ribs and cut her hair, and the man suffered even more—first, he was bitten by a dog, then stabbed with a knife. He was taken to the hospital this morning.

You really shouldn’t mess with her!

He Zhian’s team just returned, but they only brought back some firewood. Everywhere they could search had already been turned over, even the moldy bread was all taken.

Looking at the abundant harvest of the 18th floor, one can’t help but sigh at the difference, even though they’re in the same building.

Just as they arrived at the 18th floor. Coke dashed out from 1803, jumping onto Jiang Ning, whimpering, and complaining nonstop.

Did you promise not to abandon me, you’re the poop scoop officer, right? Or was that a lie?

Doudou also rushed over and happily hugged her waist. “Sister, Coke and I were very well behaved today.”

Jiang Ning didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. She was about to say that 1801’s little padded jacket betrayed him, but who knew that the next moment she would rush toward 1801, “Brother, Doudou misses you so much.”

Following the usual routine, everyone goes to 1803 to divide the spoils.

When she learned that they brought back a pig, Zheng Weili was excited but also worried, “The refrigerator isn’t working. How are we going to preserve the pork?”

Half of the pig can’t be eaten in just a few days. They couldn’t let it spoil for nothing, could they?

1801 came up with an unexpected solution, “I have a car refrigerator at home with a USB port. It should be enough to fit the meat. The only issue is it’s charging slow due to insufficient light, it can barely survive when it’s stops. ”

Car refrigerator? She seems to have stored a few of them in the space.

Jiang Ning hurriedly said, “The landlord seems to have one too. I’ll go to his room later and check.”

Their storage problem resolved, but 1803 couldn’t afford for their portion to go bad. Zhang Chao suggested, “Why don’t you two eat from our side first?”

Jiang Ning had no objections, but it would still be impossible to finish it in just a few days. “Cut the fat off and fry it into lard. We’ll have hot pot tonight, and whatever’s left, we’ll preserve it with salt.”

It could still last a few days in this cool, rainy weather.

Zhang Chao was really eager, “Aren’t we eating lunch?”

“You guys go ahead and eat first. I need to head out again and see if I can find some dog food or something for Coke.”

Lu Yu asked with concern, “How about we go with you?”

“No need. You can take care the half of the pig..”

Afraid that this bunch of life idiots wouldn’t know how to fry lard, Jiang Ning instructed, “Cut the pigskin separately, don’t fry it with the fat and you should drain the water before frying…”

Huo Yishen who didn’t know either was quietly learning from the side.

When she got home, Jiang Ning took out a portion of shredded pork in garlic sauce and filled Coke’s stomach, then she applied some medicine. Then she prepared to go out.

Coke bit onto her trouser leg. Are you going on abandoning me again?

Jiang Ning rubbed its head, “You stay here and guard the place. I’ll go stock up on some meat for us.”

The pigs must have drifted along with the water flow. She remembered there was a large pig farm upstream. If the pigs really came from there, there must be more than one.

There were several mountains connected upstream, and the pigs were likely to swim across to seek shelter.

There wasn’t much pork stored in the space, and now with Coke to take care of, Jiang Ning wanted to try her luck.

She wanted to come back quickly, but Coke refuse to let her go.

Jiang Ning had no choice but to take it along. After all, when it came to hunting, dogs were much better than humans.

Coke didn’t have a raincoat, so she took a plastic bag and cut a few holes and he place it over his head…

Um, the look was so ugly that it hurt her eyes.

Jiang Ning held back her laughter and took out her phone to take a picture of Coke in its plastic suit.

With one person and one dog, they set off towards Fengshan in a motorboat.

Fengshan isn’t very high up and it’s situated at the bottom of Fengcheng Park mountain. It’s surrounded by big lakes and beautiful spots, though sadly, they’re all submerged now.

They found a flat space to dock where there were no people present, then stored the motorboat in the space.

There are stone steps and concrete paths leading up to the mountain. In order to save energy, Jiang Ning decisively chose the latter. While walking up the mountain, she paid attention to both sides of the road.

In the bushes by the roadside, she faintly saw a pig dung that hadn’t been washed away by the rain.

Jiang Ning was secretly delighted. She hadn’t guessed wrong.

As they walked, Coke suddenly barked and wanted to charge ahead.

Jiang Ning covered its mouth, “Let’s sneak into the village quietly. We don’t want to alert the people with guns.”

Coke understood instantly and immediately became cautious, with it’s tail drooping down and it’s eyes glinting like a thief’s as it moved forward.

Not far ahead, a shelter came into view.

Using her binoculars, Jiang Ning spotted twelve pigs taking shelter from the rain inside.

Pigs were omnivores and could survive by eating grass, but they must have been washed over here for quite some time, as they were all skinny now.

When they saw someone coming, they looked like they might leave, but after nudging around a bit, they grew lazy and stayed put.

Living creatures couldn’t be stored in the space. Jiang Ning took out the highest powered electric stick, the kind that could kill with multiple shocks.

Entering the shelter, she chose the nearest pig to deal with.

Before the pig could even cry out, it fell to the ground with a thud.

Startled, the rest of the pigs ran out of the shelter.

Coke swiftly dashed to the front and it viciously drive them back, and biting those who didn’t obey!

Humans, dogs, and pigs are engaged in a chase in the rain…

She chased, it blocked, and they had nowhere to run.

In less than fifteen minutes, all twelve pigs were stunned. Jiang Ning gave them a few more shocks to ensure their dead before storing them in space.

She hadn’t expected Coke to still be such a good hunting dog, so she rewarded it with a salt baked chicken leg.

“Coke, let’s keep it up and stock up on all the pork we need for the rest of our lives. We’ll eat and drink like kings every day from now on.”

“Woof!” It wanted to eat meat!

With one person and one dog, they continued to search along the mountain.

Coke took full advantage of it’s skills, leading the way in search of prey.

Pigs are social animals, and under Coke’s leadership, Jiang Ning quickly located the second group of pigs. There are nine pigs in total, which are similar in size to the previous ones.

With one person chasing and one dog surrounding them, they dashed through the jungle.

Though the terrain wasn’t steep, it was slippery to run on.

Since people slipped, so did the pigs, but the dog moved smoothly and it’s skilfully guided the pigs towards Jiang Ning.

Nine pigs were once again captured.

With twenty one pigs in tow, Jiang Ning practically walked like she was flying.

She found the third and fourth groups one after another. Altogether, there were sixty eight pigs, producing at least over ten thousand kilograms of pork.

After searching Fengshan twice, they couldn’t find any more traces of pigs.

By now, it was getting late in the evening, so Jiang Ning headed downhill with Coke.

As they walked, Coke suddenly shot out like an arrow, and it quickly disappeared into the jungle.

Jiang Ning got worried about it’s safety and hurried to catch up.

When she arrived, she saw Coke desperately digging with its paws, barking fiercely and it’s eyes was filled with murderous intent…
