How Can My Wife Be So Adorable?
How Can My Wife Be So Adorable? Chapter 280 – Cross-server chat (Part One)

“Su Su, what are you laughing at?”
Little Zero asked in confusion.
Su Su burst into laughter, glancing over at Xue Bufu and Yun Xinghai:
“These two idiots…”
“Nothing!”
Yun Xinghai suddenly shouted.

He was lying on the floor like a corpse, but jumped up in a flash.
How embarrassing!
After all, this was supposed to be a surprise he and Bufu had prepared.
Now that it got exposed, he definitely couldn’t let Chen Xing find out.

Xue Bufu was also a bit embarrassed and shook his head at Su Su.
Su Su saw this and gave a mischievous smile, looking at Bufu:
“Hehe… one meal!”
Xue Bufu, internally:
You’re a little rich girl, and you still wanna mooch food off me?
I don’t even have a cent left!

He didn’t get it—rich or not, if someone else treats, the food just tastes better!
Left with no choice, Bufu gritted his teeth and decided to wait until after his exam tomorrow.
Once he became a Grandmaster, the government would award him a monthly stipend of around 300,000.
“Deal!”
Su Su grinned and winked at him.

“What’s going on?”
Little Zero was still curious.
Su Su shook her head and changed the topic:
“Nothing. Anyway, I’m gonna be living alone from now on. Boohoo.”
Little Zero got successfully distracted:
“Huh? Why? Did you upset Sister Yuexi?”

Then Su Su and Little Zero went off to chat by themselves.
Meanwhile, Chen Xing began chatting with Xue Bufu and Yun Xinghai.

“You’re going for the title match tomorrow?”
Xue Bufu nodded.
“Yeah, my opponent’s been announced.”
“You know him.”
“Oh?”
Chen Xing frowned. He didn’t know many people, especially among the fighters…

“Is it Wu Dao?”
Chen Xing guessed—he was the guy who nearly KO’d him with one punch before!
The only Grandmaster in the preparatory academy.
Xue Bufu nodded.
“Yeah, that’s him.”

Chen Xing laughed:
“Not bad. He’s got high combat power, but his martial technique isn’t that great.”
Chen Xing had experienced that firsthand.
Bufu was speechless.
‘Not that great’…
That might be true for Chen Xing, but Bufu wasn’t sure he could beat Wu Dao in martial technique.

“By the way, Master, I signed up too! I’m taking the Combat Master exam~”
“If I pass, I’ll be the youngest Combat Master in history! Plus I’ll get 50k per month!”
Yun Xinghai looked super excited.
After all, getting that title at such a young age would make him instantly famous.
And once famous, tons of brands would want to sponsor or have him as a spokesperson.
If he wanted, he could make a fortune off that title.

It’s worth noting that Bufu was also famous for a time.
But he didn’t want to profit from it and became a public school teacher instead.

Chen Xing obviously realized all this too:
“Then you’ll be our Combat Hall’s pride!”
“14-year-old Combat Master! A rising star.”
The Hall would have the youngest-ever Grandmaster and the youngest-ever Master.
They’d be walking billboards—no need to worry about low enrollment!

Yun Xinghai grinned:
“Don’t worry, bro! I won’t let you down!”
Chen Xing nodded.
“By the way, Xinghai, did your match schedule come out? Let me take a look.”
Bufu was well-known in the fighting world and might recognize Xinghai’s opponent.

Yun Xinghai: “Yeah, my first-round opponent seems to be someone named Shadiao.”
“For round two, it’s going to be Teacher Wu Dao evaluating me…”

Bufu frowned. Shadiao?
Never heard of that name…
Then Yun Xinghai pulled out his match list and checked again:
“Oh wait, my bad. His name’s Qidiao—Qidiao Lingyi. Weird name.”
“He’s only 18, too.”

Among all the competitors, most were over 25.
Only Yun Xinghai and Qidiao Lingyi were under 20.
So whoever won between them would take the youngest Combat Master title and skyrocket to fame.

“Hey! Don’t fight in my house!”
Su Su saw the three of them gearing up for a sparring match and quickly kicked them back to their place.
She and Little Zero stayed across the hall.
Two besties, alone and chatting.

But Little Zero was clearly distracted, constantly glancing at the closed door.
Su Su rolled her eyes:
“You seriously have issues… It’s been ten minutes, and he’s just across the hall! Chill, will ya?”

“Umm…”
Little Zero pouted:
“Can’t we just go over and chat with them…”
“No way! Tonight you’re sleeping with me.”
“Huh? Then what about Chen Xing?”
Little Zero blurted out.

“Chen Xing can sleep alone tonight.”
Su Su froze for a second, then exclaimed:
“You two sleep together!?”
“Umm… I… we… no!”
Little Zero’s face turned red as she got flustered.

Su Su stared at her, completely unconvinced.
She could always tell when Little Zero was lying.
“Wait, you two… did that already!?”
“Umm…?”
Little Zero was confused—that? Which that?
Wait—feeding the bunny?

How did she know I fed Chen Xing the bunny!?

“You… how do you know?”
Little Zero’s neck turned red as she looked at Su Su in horror.
“No, wait… we didn’t… um…”

Even though they were cross-server chatting, her reaction really led to some big misunderstandings.
Su Su stared in disbelief for a moment. Then she thought about it—
Given how close they were every day, she’d be shocked if they hadn’t done something.

But truthfully, Little Zero and Chen Xing hadn’t gone that far… yet.

“You silly girl… I don’t even know what to say. Just be careful, alright?”
Little Zero: “Careful? Will someone die…?”
“Huh?”
Su Su gave her a weird look:
“Die? What do you mean, die? What are you even talking about?”
“Umm…”
Little Zero didn’t really get it either. For cross-server chat, they were already pushing the limits.

Su Su gave up trying to explain. If Little Zero didn’t get it, Chen Xing surely would. That’s enough.
