Did he personally see Hyakki? No!
Bai Lan from a parallel universe had visited Yokohama City, but in other worlds, there was no Hyakki. The only two worlds with Hyakki were the one he lived in and the one where another version of himself had made a deal with “Dazai.”
In the world where “Dazai” secretly protected Hyakki, he couldn’t get close to Hyakki at all!
If he wasn’t getting lost, he was running into robbers or murderers. A simple map of Yokohama City in his hands was like navigating a labyrinth a thousand times more difficult. After a few attempts, he gave up. On one hand, he wasn’t interested in wasting so much energy on Hyakki. On the other hand, he was wary of the new powers Dazai had acquired.
If the other party could make him get lost, couldn’t they arrange an accident to trap him in a death trap?
Or!
It was precisely because the other party had such confidence!
This person dared to make a deal with him, not fearing Bai Lan’s notorious deeds across parallel universes. They were both extremely unique individuals among the eight trillion worlds, each with their own trump cards and methods.
Thinking this through, Bai Lan felt his decision to come to Yokohama City was quite foolish.
Couldn’t he just use online video communication?
The price he had to pay to meet Hyakki was too high!
“Help me—!!!”
Before things escalated, Bai Lan found someone to ask for help. Overjoyed, he saw Yokohama City’s “number one good Samaritan,” Nakahara, a red-haired youth who would help old ladies cross the street!
Nakahara hadn’t yet recognized who his “kindred spirit” was and was bewilderedly used as a shield.
“Huh? Who are you?”
His gravity powers reflexively helped block Hyakki’s sword.
Hyakki’s gray-brown eyes, filled with killing intent, stared at Nakahara. No one could stop him from seeking vengeance!
Nakahara grew tense. “Is he your enemy?”
Such a weak enemy?
Looking back, he exclaimed “Oh no!” and Bai Lan started running away at full speed.
But Bai Lan was destined to escape. Dazai made a phone call and said with a smile, “Mr. Hirotsu, has the leader of guerrilla forces arrived? Block all the exits of Yokohama Park, evacuate the visitors, and don’t let that white-haired Italian guy escape. He’s a guest I invited from Italy.”
In short, at this moment, Bai Lan was on Dazai’s kill list.
First, take care of him.
Then deal with the Jesso family behind him.
After ending the call, Dazai watched Hyakki chase Bai Lan and thought about how the opponent would regain another organ, marveling once again at the accuracy of the Fuuta ranking.
Nakahara, with a face full of black lines, walked over and asked, “Is this what you meant by kindred spirit?”
Dazai replied, “Hyakki’s judgment is never wrong.”
Nakahara held back a comment: When Hyakki ignored you back then, you never praised him this much!
“I feel… bad about helping, like I’m being the villain.”
“No worries, I never expected you to.”
“…”
“Give me a gun.”
Dazai extended his hand to Hirotsu, who was beside him. Hirotsu handed over his gun.
Nakahara, slightly startled, tried to stop him, “What are you planning? Don’t forget your bottom line!”
“Bottom line?” Dazai loaded the gun with a click and said, “I don’t have such boring things as bottom lines. As long as it helps Hyakki get his body back… a bit of evil like this…”
“Bang—!”
He took aim and shot at Bai Lan’s vital spot!
“I’ll wash it clean.”
Do a thousand good deeds to wash away a hundred bad ones.
After a while, the gun in Dazai’s hand was still smoking. He stuck out his tongue, “Missed.”
Hirotsu, hands clasped behind his back, said steadily, “Dazai-san, your shooting skills need practice. The Port Mafia has a dedicated training ground for shooting practice.”
Listening to their conversation, Nakahara turned his head in frustration and stomped over to help. He’d rather team up with Hyakki to capture the man than let Dazai add another life to his list of casualties.
However, Hyakki completely ignored Nakahara’s assistance, focusing entirely on this super red-named target.
Too red.
