Haeng-in’s body gradually faded into nothingness, then vanished with the light. In her place, only the faintest shimmer of Sarah’s soul remained.
“……That’s all that’s left.”
Sarah held in her hand the last vestige of her former self, Park Hyeyeon. This one tiny, insignificant soul, so tiny and insignificant, had given birth to Park Haeng-in in her body. It was a new realization of the power of her soul and of the power of Ambrosia to hold Sarah’s soul in this world.
“Well, Oliven. My soul has been retrieved, as you desired, and Miss Haeng-in is safe and sound, and you have done all you can do.”
Sarah lifted the doll that now contained Oliven’s soul.
“You tried to help Miss Haeng-in out of the goodness of your heart, and you did well. But from what I can see of Miss Haeng-in, it appears that you have sent her to this world without warning, and you have neither changed nor learned.”
“I’m sorry, but I couldn’t tell her the truth, for she wouldn’t believe it unless she saw it.”
“Did you try to make her believe it?”
“……No.”
“You still didn’t care about the other person’s feelings to get your way. That’s the least you can do, whether you like the outcome or not.”
Sarah saw through Oliven’s slowly crumbling soul as she delivered what might be her last lesson to him. Oliven had only just realized the magnitude of his sin. He did not realize how he could avoid committing such sins or how he could correct his mistakes. If left to his own devices, Oliven would be destroyed forever, but Sarah had no intention of letting that happen, for if he didn’t know that, he would be at peace with himself, having not yet received all of Sarah’s punishment.
“I have a proposition for you.”
Sarah sliced through the air with her mana-energized hand, and Oliven’s body, which she had been storing, appeared.
“Your soul is already damaged beyond repair, and even if you were to return to your body now, it would not be long before you would be subjected to the annihilation process.”
“Yes.”
“Thanks to you, I have been able to retrieve the fragment of my soul that I left behind, and with that power, I will put your fragmented soul back together again.”
“……!”
She meant to spare Oliven’s life. Oliven shuddered with confusion, not expecting Sarah to come out like this. But she hadn’t meant to be so simple in her mercy.
“If you take this body back and fill it with your broken soul, you will forget me forever.”
“……Master!”
Oliven screamed in disbelief at Sarah’s words. Forgetting Sarah. It was the equivalent of losing everything Oliven held dear to him to Sarah.
“The fragment of my soul that held your soul together is now the last vestige of a life in another world that I have abandoned. It is the power of a soul that has no connection to you at all.”
“N, no, Master. I’d rather, I’d rather just perish like this. Please, please……!”
Oliven pleaded desperately, but Sarah, pretending not to hear, plucked his soul out of the doll and shoved it right into his sleeping body. His eyes flashed open as the closed body searched for his soul.
“N, no…….”
Oliven immediately opened his mouth to beg Sarah’s forgiveness, but his throat was parched from years of disuse, and no voice came out. His eyes widened in horror. To forget his master, to live with his guilt, however soul-crushing it might be, could never be as bad as forgetting Sarah.
“My beloved disciple, this is the last lesson I can give you. Take it to your soul and live your life practicing what you have learned.”
“Master, Master……!”
Sarah leaned down and kissed Oliven’s forehead. Oliven’s pleading stopped for a moment. Sarah smiled bitterly as she realized that there was still a hint of her former disciple in him, the one who calmed down when she kissed his forehead.
“Sometimes, when I think of you, I’ll come looking for you. You won’t even know I’m looking for you then.”
With those words, she pushed the fragment of soul she held in her hand into Oliven’s body. A single tear fell from Oliven’s eye, and his eyes closed completely.
“…….”
Sarah’s eyes lingered on Oliven as he collapsed in her arms. The man who had been her apprentice, but was no longer, the man whose connection to her had been severed forever.
“Anyway, I’m being too soft on my disciple and it’s causing trouble.”
Sarah was reminded of her own problems, and she shattered whatever remnants of magic Oliven had left. So that he could live as a normal human being, not a magician. To leave Oliven with the scars on his soul so that he would always be alert and never commit the same sin.
“Goodbye.”
Sarah snapped her fingers once more. A magical circle floated over Oliven’s sleeping body and swallowed him in an instant. With this, she too would forget Oliven. It was the greatest punishment she could inflict on him, the last mercy she could bestow on her disciple.
“I miss Ethan.”
With that, Sarah sighed deeply and left the room. The maid, who had seen her leave Juliette’s chamber, came up to her in surprise and asked.
“Oh, my, that room is empty, why are you coming out of there?”
“I was just curious, so I went in. It’s clean enough for anyone to use, so why is it empty?”
“Well……. Why would they leave it empty? It was the best room in the maids’ quarters.”
“If there is someone who wants it, please let them change rooms.”
“Oh, yes! I’ll talk to the head maid and decide.”
“Good. It’s getting late, so you should get some rest.”
“Thank you for your concern.”
Sarah first waved the maid away until she was out of sight. She was the maid who had spent a lot of time with Juliette. Her memories of Juliette had completely disappeared. The transmigrator, Park Haeng-in, who had come into her life like a miracle. Sarah smiled as she thought of her.
“I hope she made it to Korea.”

Haeng-in looked at the words crammed into her cell phone screen and swiped her hand across the screen carefully.
“I arrived safely.”
She replied, unable to reach Sarah. Haeng-in’s cell phone screen showed the events of her transmigration of ‘I Am the Nanny of the Villain’ in a series of flashbacks.
‘Our connection will continue because I will never forget how special you were to watch this ‘story’.
Haeng-in realized that Sarah’s words about their connection would come true, and she could see their story once again.
“Does that mean I can see more of the three of them after the ending?”
Haeng-in tapped the screen to advance to the next episode, feeling excited.
