“Man~ You really saved me there. Sorry about that, for leaving the manual labor to you. Even though it was supposed to be my job….”

“Eh…. Ah, yeah. Right. Alaine.”

The woman in front of me laughed excitedly, speaking in a tone full of emotions. She continued to eat the food served in front of heartily as she smiled. I only nodded in response to her words. 

Alaine. Alaine…..That expressionless Alaine is…? 

I was in utter disbelief. 

Just what I’m waking up to…?

Right now, I was at the adventurers’ guild. 

Where am I now? The earth? Or another world? Or maybe a different another world?

At a quick glance, it seemed the level of civilization was the same as the other world I had been in. Same level of civilization, the place I was in a short while ago might be the same as this other world then. The adventurers’ guild also looked the same. This place was definitely not earth so it was safe to assume this was the very same other world I had been in since last year.

I could still use my ability in the same way without any problem. I could understand both the language and letters just fine too. 

“Hm? What’s the matter? You’re not going to eat?”

But with the assumption that this is the very same other world then… This Alaine in front of me doesn’t make any sense. Why does her personality take a drastic change? What happened? I really don’t understand. 

“….. Ah, yeah. I’m going to eat.”

I nodded at her words and then I nonchalantly used the fork in my hand to take the food into my mouth. 

I’m already used to tasting food that tastes horrible and besides, it’s much better than those disgusting insects I saw before.

“…….Huh?”

I stiffened.

The taste spreading in my mouth, it wasn’t the same repulsive taste I had become familiar with. It was the taste of the ingredients, the flavor and the cooking. 

“What?”

Unable to understand what was going on, I became stiff.
