“I-I think this place should be good!”

We came to a stop in front of an inn. We already reached another town and this inn before us was considered as a luxurious inn in this town. The main feature of this inn was that it had a room similar to a house. There wasn’t any restaurant in this inn but in exchange for that, all of the rooms in this inn came with a kitchen for the guests to cook for themselves. 

“Yeah, it seems like it.”

I nodded in agreement.

“Let’s go, let’s go then.”

Alaine quickly walked into the inn and then I also followed behind her. 

…….. By the way, there was no information about the evil god in this town. The only reason why we came here was simply because this inn had a kitchen so we could cook in here. 

Yeah. Now then. If there’s one thing I’m curious about, why is there a big cave underneath this town? I feel like this big cave underneath is a little similar to the secret hideout of that evil god cult in the slum….. 

Yeah, whatever. I’m not interested in that. I’m more interested in Alaine’s home cooking.

“Wha-What do you think?”

Alaine asked about the pitch black thing she had served to me with much hesitation just a while ago. In addition to that, there was some kind of aura coming from this thing that practically screamed this thing would be bad for your body. 

“I… I knew that it won’t do…. Yeah… I’m going to throw it away.”

“No? I’m perfectly fine with it though?”

I…. I don’t know what she’s trying to make since the flavor is so confusing. Not to mention the burnt taste is masking the actual flavor of the ingredients. In other words… Delicious. 

“Yeah. It’s delicious.”

I nodded in satisfaction and continued eating. 

“Re-really?! Le-Let me see!”

Alaine timidly took a spoonful of the burnt thing and put it into her mouth.

“So-So bad!!!”

She then vomited it out.

“No! Don’t eat this horrible food!!! Let’s find better food!! I’m going to throw it away!”

“No? You mustn’t be that extravagant. This food is delicious though.”

I used the fork to scoop more of that charcoal looking food into my mouth. 

I can’t believe she wants to throw it away. Unbelievable. Just what is she thinking? 

“You don’t need to force yourself to protect my feelings, you know?”

“I’m not forcing myself or anything though? I’m just being frankly honest.”

“………Sorry.”

“There’s nothing for you to apologize for though?”

“Uuuuu…. If only I could cook better food….”

But for me this is good enough though?

“Then how about if we cook together so we can strive to make better food next?”

“Are you sure?!”

Alaine’s eyes sparkled at my suggestion.

“Yeah. I’m sure.”

“I see! It’s a promise then!”

“Okay, I got it.”

I glanced at Alaine who was ecstatic and then continued to eat the food again. 

Yeah, it’s delicious.

“What?! You’re still eating it?!”
