Chapter 87: Epilogue

Alaine and I were walking through a brightly lit cave illuminated by magic.

Only the sound of our echoing footsteps could be heard in this silent cave. A light could be seen at the end of the cave. 

“Ugh…”

Just beyond the cave, Alaine and I closed our eyes out of reflex at the light shining upon us. We had been walking in the cave for so long that the light felt blinding to us. Beyond the end of the cave, there was a pleasant looking field. The sun was shimmering in the sky. 

The warm sunlight enveloped the surrounding, making the red fruits on the tree about as tall as roadside trees shimmered. And then, there was a blue butterfly dancing in the sky. 

Behind Alaine and I, there was an already completely destroyed door and above that, there was a partially destroyed door. The top and bottom of the door was on reverse as the door floated above the already completely destroyed door. These two doors weren’t the only doors here. There were other 8 doors too. 

“Now then, where should we go?”

Alaine, who was standing beside me, muttered.

“Hmm…. I don’t know anything about the other 8 worlds.”

I didn’t know anything about the other 8 worlds because by the time the world was divided into 9, I was already turned into a stone statue. 

“It’d be nice if I could have delicious food though.”

…….Delicious food. Right now, that’s my number one wish. I can’t forget the excitement I felt at that time. 

“I got it. Then I will recommend this world the best.”

Alaine walked into one of the doors. And then, I also followed suit. My vision was enveloped in light and then…. 

The divergence eternity traveled through the world.
