“The Princess taught you skills and provided you with work opportunities, yet you chose to be disloyal,” Manager Lin detested those who showed ingratitude.
The expressions on the two individuals’ faces faltered, “We… everyone looks out for themselves. I don’t believe you wouldn’t be tempted by all that money.”
“What’s there to be tempted by? I have no interest in dirty money. Every coin I spend now is earned through my own hard work. I have a clear conscience,” he stated firmly. With his current wages, he could support his wife and children. Moreover, with his wife working in the workshop with his the princess’s consent, and his son studying at the academy, he only returned during breaks.
Not everyone would behave like them.
“Starting tomorrow, you don’t need to come back anymore,” Manager Lin informed them directly.
Upon hearing this, the expressions of the two individuals changed instantly, “Manager Lin, don’t forget, we signed an agreement initially. The workshop can’t dismiss us without cause.”
“It’s not without cause. You accepted money and planned to disclose information about the cotton. This constitutes a breach of the workshop’s confidentiality. If reported, you could end up in prison. Dismissing you is already lenient on my part,” Manager Lin stated coldly.
“Manager Lin, leave a way out for yourself, and we may meet again in the future. After all the time we spent together, you…” one of them started to say.
“Don’t act like we had a great relationship. Pack your things and compensate accordingly. If you ever leak any workshop information, we have the right to hold you accountable and demand compensation for our losses. You wouldn’t be able to afford the consequences of those losses,” Manager Lin coldly warned.
After this incident, he would inform the Princess to keep her informed.
“What right do you have to dismiss us?”
“Manager Lin may not have the authority to dismiss you, but do I?” Wang Jinhe, no longer concealing herself, stepped forward to address the two.
The two individuals were taken aback by Wang Jinhe’s unexpected appearance.

“No need for such talk. Everyone has their own goals. If they seek short-term gain, losing a permanent job is a fair consequence. There are plenty of girls from the academy who can fill in here. I’m not short of two individuals like them,” Wang Jinhe remarked nonchalantly.
“No, you can’t treat us like this. We can apologize,” realizing their fate upon hearing Wang Jinhe’s words.
“No need for apologies. I don’t particularly value your apologies. Everyone must face consequences for their actions, whether it’s me or you,” Wang Jinhe disregarded their pleas.
One of them, feeling enraged as they apologized and still faced Wang Jinhe’s stern stance, pointed at her and erupted, “We made a mistake once, and you treat us like this? You’re heartless now that your wealthy.”
Manager Lin attempted to speak but was stopped by Wang Jinhe, “Let them speak. I want to see what they have to say.”
With Wang Jinhe’s challenge, the two individuals found themselves at a loss for words.
“Why the silence?” Wang Jinhe asked coldly.
“Weren’t you just boldly speaking a moment ago? You can continue now. I want to hear what else you have to say,” Wang Jinhe calmly stated.
“We have already apologized, and you don’t lack for options. What’s the harm in giving us work?” one of them pleaded.
“Yes, Princess, you are generous. Please forgive us this once,” the other added.
Manager Lin, infuriated by their words, saw through their manipulation tactics. This was not a negotiation but coercion.
“Princess, you must not agree to them. These two have been causing trouble from the start. Allowing them to stay would only bring more harm,”
The only thing he is happy about now is the division of labor and cooperation. Apart from the part they are responsible for, what should they do with the rest? Don’t know at all.
