Chapter 107 1/2
Wang Wang’s train of thought was interrupted when he saw Cen Lang coming out, holding the little bundle closely behind him. His brain cells were dazzled by the cuteness of the little kid.
This must be the genius baby dribbling with the ball!
Even though he’s not his biological child, he would eat ten cats of chilli for him!
Wang Wang shed tears of emotion on behalf of Old Cen, feeling touched by the thought of passing on the baton.
Madam is indeed charitable! She picked up an Alpha that no one else dared to take!
For the first time, he saw the word “compliance” on Mr. Cen’s face, realising that the position of the head of the family was about to change hands.
Cen Lang ignored the neurotic bodyguard and focused on explaining to Jiang Li, “He was clean before bathing, just cleaner after.”
He’s very suitable for taking care of the kid; don’t veto him just because of this incident.
“Right, kid?” Cen Lang pulled the kid closer.
Jiang Wangxing directly made a breakthrough: “Dad, all the black and stinky stuff is washed away.”
Cen Lang: “…”
Jiang Wangxing wanted his dad to smell the shower gel given by his uncle, leaning towards Jiang Li. “Dad, I smell like grapes now.”
Due to the kid’s actions, Jiang Li had to get closer to Cen Lang to pick him up. Jiang Li keenly smelled the grape scent on Cen Lang; just like the kid, he also used baby shower gel.
Jiang Li: “Very fragrant.”
Cen Lang handed the kid back to Jiang Li. With no hostage kid, he pondered how to come up with an excuse to visit again.
Jiang Li saw through his thoughts in an instant, somewhat amused that even a top-tier Alpha’s thoughts were so easy to read.
As he was about to take his leave, his phone rang. The property urgently notified him that abnormal water flow was detected in the bathroom, possibly due to a burst pipe, and asked him to hurry back to open the door for repairs.
Cen Lang enthusiastically said, “I have experience; let me take a look.”
Thinking about his many documents left on the floor, Jiang Li quickly ran, holding the kid, but he couldn’t run fast.
“Let me hold him.” Cen Lang reached out and took Jiang Wangxing.
Jiang Li was momentarily distracted, realising that he had let go directly.
As Jiang Wangxing grew day by day, he could fluently recite his dad’s address and phone number, proficiently master various alarm skills, and never walk with a strange uncle without his dad’s permission. Jiang Li’s heart became more and more at ease.
He even dared to entrust the kid to a potential custody battle with Alpha.
He believed in his own kid; no matter how wealthy the other dad was, he would always love his own Jiang Dad the most.
What Jiang Li didn’t expect was that the other dad’s style was bizarre, ruling the roost in the space force, but at home, he was a nurturing type.
Since childhood, Jiang Li has longed for a dad to come and take him away, thinking it would make him very happy.
Even though he gave the kid a lot of love, if another dad came to love the kid, Jiang Li found it hard to refuse for the kid’s sake.
His fatherly love for Jiang Wangxing was not selfish.
Not knowing how to handle it, he decided to delay.
Jiang Li was decisive in his actions. Even though he had stage fright, he repeatedly faced it by seeing a psychologist to overcome it and solve it.
For the first time, he wanted to procrastinate.
After a few thoughts, he ran back home. The smart water switch detects abnormal flow and automatically shuts off.
But the water had already flowed from the bathroom to the living room, soaking the kid’s toys and Jiang Li’s books.
Fortunately, nothing else was damaged; we just needed to dry up the water.
Today, the nanny was off, and there was no one at home.
Cen Lang put down the kid, glanced around, and found the toolbox and spare water pipe faucet. “Let me fix the pipe.”
As soon as Jiang Wangxing was put down, he immediately took off his shoes and ran to splash around in the puddle of water.
He remembered dad saying not to disturb the grandpa downstairs, so he played with water very gently.
Jiang Li had just put away the books, walked over to pick him up, and put him on the sofa. “You might slip.”
Jiang Wangxing happily rubbed his feet back and forth. He had already played with water in the mobile bathroom just now.
Jiang Li brought out a highly absorbent large mop, specially prepared for cleaning the floor with a child at home. With a bottle of water poured on the floor, it dried up in one swipe. When Jiang Li was alone with the kid, he had to do household chores whenever he found a moment, and even mopping had to be done at the fastest speed.
The mop weighed about ten kilogrammes after absorbing water, which was very heavy.
Cen Lang quickly fixed the water pipe in three moves and took the mop from Jiang Li. “I’ll do this; you go deal with the books.”
The mop was as flexible in Cen Lang’s hands as a calligraphy brush.
In terms of weight, it was lighter than many guns he had carried before.
Jiang Li: “Thank you.”
Jiang Wangxing was lying on the sofa, following the mop with his head, then he turned over and leant down from the sofa to touch the ground, successfully landing, “Uncle—”
Jiang Wangxing held onto the mop handle, pleading, “Uncle, can I stand on it?”
Cen Lang: “Huh?”
Jiang Wangxing stood on the mop cloth, holding onto the mop handle, looking like a small ornament. “Uncle, can you pull me?”
Cen Lang: “Sure, Uncle is strong.”
Jiang Li heard the exaggerated laughter of the little kid, turned his head in confusion, and saw Jiang Wangxing riding on the mop while Cen Lang was effortlessly mopping the floor, completely unaffected.
Finding joy.
You couldn’t tell at all that they had just met today.
The floor was already dry, but Cen Lang still mopped three more rounds with the kid. Then he put the mop on the balcony, picked up Jiang Wangxing, and sat him on the sofa, deliberately saying when Jiang Li could hear, “Uncle is a bit tired; let’s rest for a while.”
Jiang Li couldn’t just drive away a guest who was tired from working, right?
Jiang Wangxing struggled to get down. “I’ll pour water for Uncle.”
He took a glass from the coffee table.
