Chapter 108 2/2

The little one climbed down from the chair, holding a fried egg, saying, “Daddy, wait for me, I want to go with Daddy too.”

Jiang Li’s cheeks turned slightly red. Being called by a big and a small one, it seemed as if she was being treated like a scoundrel who abandoned her family.

Cen Lang packed the lunchbox and lifted the little one, saying lightly, “Let’s go.”

The research institute is still very safe, and it’s okay for the susceptible period to go to work.

The family of three left the house, leaving the nanny in disarray—what job was she supposed to do today?

Cen Lang watched Jiang Li enter the research institute gate with his own eyes, didn’t go back, but took the little one to the mall for shopping.

Clothes, toys, airplanes, everything was bought.

Those that could be sent to Jiang Li’s house were sent over, while those that were too big and required space to play were sent to the villa.

Cen Lang strolled for two hours, found a restaurant with children’s meals, and had a meal there.

He sat face to face with Little Jiang, arranging his napkin, letting the little one eat in his own preferred way.

A young and elegant Alpha, a cute and obedient cub, attracted the attention of diners at several nearby tables.

This was a high-end restaurant, quiet atmosphere, with Cen Lang’s table as the center. To the east, Jiang family’s head, Jiang Wanlan, was discussing business with partners, to the south, Star Wars General Lu Jing, returning to Earth for the first time, was invited out for dinner by old classmates.

To the northwest, the son of a listed group’s chairman and Miss Li were on a blind date.

There were green plants separating them, so the east and south couldn’t see each other, but they could all see Cen Lang.

At the northwest table, however, they could see everyone.

“It seems like Cen Lang and his son over there.” The chairman’s son was puzzled. “I haven’t heard of him getting married. Is it an illegitimate child?”

Miss Li used to be a member of Cen Lang’s admirers, but returning to reality, she knew it was impossible. Rolling her eyes, she said, “Don’t always jump to conclusions about illegitimate children. Can’t you men think of anything else? It’s all gossip about love affairs every day!”

The chairman’s son felt wronged. Saying the wrong thing on a blind date could be serious: “No way! Just look at how Cen Lang treats the child, better than my dad treats me! The child also looks like Cen Lang. Cen Lang doesn’t have any brothers, is it unreasonable for me to suspect?”

Miss Li, with her back to Cen Lang, turned her head back to take a look and found it did look a bit like him. Stubbornly, she said, “Cen Lang is not that kind of person.”

The chairman’s son said, “I beg you all, if you like Cen Lang, don’t come out for blind dates. I’ve encountered three this month!”

Before, he didn’t feel it so strongly. Daughters of wealthy families also pursued stars, but they were not entertainment stars, and their idol status was very high. Ordinary Alphas couldn’t even be jealous.

Most of the time, the chairman’s son could understand, but when Cen Lang was sitting next to him, and the blind date candidate made outspoken remarks about “illegitimate children,” ignoring Cen Lang’s illegitimate child situation, he couldn’t ignore it anymore.

Miss Li said, “Can’t even pursue a star now? Are you serious?”

The chairman’s son argued, “Is it me being serious? Or you being hypocritical? If it’s really his son, just give up! Put on your glasses and look at their eyebrows and ears, they’re like carbon copies.”

Miss Li put on her glasses, still stubbornly saying, “Where’s the resemblance? They both have two eyes and a mouth.”

The chairman’s son said, “Huh? Are you blind? Can there be anything more like a father and son?”

Miss Li felt a twinge of guilt, then suddenly caught sight of the customers at the two nearby tables and immediately became assertive: “You must be blind. I think that child looks like Mr. Jiang too, especially the eyes—”

She grew more animated as she spoke: “He even resembles General Lu, but in a cute version.”

The chairman’s son retorted, “You think everyone looks alike, infatuated.”

Miss Li retorted sarcastically, “He doesn’t look like you.”

The chairman’s son remarked, “Fandom blinds people.”

Miss Li confidently asserted, “Based on my idol’s character, hmph, I’ll tell you, this kid could be Mr. Jiang’s, or General Lu’s, or even both, but he definitely isn’t Cen Lang’s.”

Unwilling to back down, the chairman’s son became infuriated, “Alright, I’m going to find out for myself.”

He confidently approached Cen Lang, met his deep gaze, then suddenly felt weak-kneed. Damn it, who dares to ask him directly if this is your illegitimate child.

His mind went blank, and the words that came out were, “This kid looks like a combination of Mr. Jiang and General Lu, really adorable.”

Miss Li chuckled softly, feeling embarrassed.

After speaking, the chairman’s son wanted to slap himself; Cen Lang would definitely be unhappy with that comment. Who would like it if their child was said to resemble someone else’s.

Jiang Wanlan and Lu Jing both looked up simultaneously, gazing at the little one in the center.

Cen Lang raised an eyebrow, “He’s mine.”

Miss Li felt embarrassed, and the chairman’s son awkwardly tried to amend, “I meant to say Mrs. Cen resembles Mr. Jiang a bit, she’s definitely a great beauty.”

Cen Lang clarified some rumors, “He’s a boy.”

Jiang Wanlan stumbled slightly, supported by Lu Jing.
