Chapter 111 2/2
At times, dad will be implicated.
The longer Jiang Li stayed with Jiang Ping, the longer the recovery time.
Jiang Li felt embarrassed just thinking about how Jiang Ping, who was usually silent, was asked by Jiang Wanlan every day, “Have you recovered yet?”
Some people could also suffer from impotence due to stress.
Jiang Li didn’t want to add pressure between the dads.
He made a phone call and asked the two dads to take the little one out for a stroll, and he would return after his pheromones had dissipated.
Jiang Wanlan left reluctantly.
Cen Lang finally got some alone time.
Jiang Li rubbed his face. “Since the little one isn’t here, you can leave.”
Cen Lang: “It would look bad if I left like this.”
“Can you use the restroom?”
Jiang Li looked away. “Do whatever you want.”
Cen Lang asked anxiously, “If I leave after using it, will I be kicked out of the pursuit list for being a pervert? Then I can bear it, even if my corpora cavernosa necrosis.”
Dr. Xiao Jiang’s medical ethics were touched.
Cen Lang thought of the opportunity Jiang Li had given him to be treated in the dungeon—saving lives was important.
So he continued to be pitiful: “If it gets serious and requires surgery, the doctor will consult the partner’s opinion. I don’t have a partner, so even the doctor will sympathise.”
Jiang Li knew how capable Cen Lang was. He was afraid that if he held it in for too long, it would activate the storm syndrome. Unable to bear it anymore, he said, “The restroom is over there.”
Cen Lang entered the restroom.
Jiang Li shuffled his feet, wanting to leave, but as a certain Alpha no longer suppressed himself, strong pheromones swept over him.
Jiang Li sat down on the bed with a thump.
Cen Lang’s voice was faint. “Actually, it’s more comfortable to spend the sensitive period in a primitive way.”
Jiang Li opened his eyes and found Cen Lang standing neatly in front of him. “You’ve already taken two doses of inhibitors, and this sensitive period has been severely exceeded.”
“Do you want me to give you a temporary mark?”
Jiang Li looked at him soberly. “Are you going to such lengths just for a temporary mark?”
Cen Lang’s scheme was exposed. He said bluntly, “Because I guess you’ll increase the inhibitors for your dad’s sake.”
Because the separation of the dads was too hard, Jiang Li, as their son, would do whatever he could.
With a temporary mark, an Alpha’s pheromones would firmly lock onto an Omega’s pheromones, no longer overflowing.
Jiang Li lowered his head, surprised that Cen Lang, who had just learned about the effect of his pheromones, could deduce all this.
“Okay,” Jiang Li said softly, lying down on the bed.
Cen Lang didn’t expect to achieve his goal so easily. Instead, he hesitated, “If I bite you, will I advance or cross out on your mate candidate list?”
This was important; small things can lead to big chaos.
Jiang Li was speechless. “Where did you get a candidate list?”
Cen Lang responded quickly, “Am I the only candidate? What about that Uncle Yang the little one mentioned?”
Jiang Li squeezed his palm nervously and said, “If you don’t bite, then leave.”
“Hmm…”
Cen Lang gave the mark but didn’t do anything else, hoarsely saying, “Jiang Li, consider me.”
Jiang Li kept his eyes closed and said nothing.
Cen Lang didn’t end up going to the bathroom. He had Lu Jing’s contact information, informed them they could come back, then scaled the wall himself to avoid being noticed.
Jiang Li slowly sat up, his face as red as the sunset.
He raised his hand, as if to touch the bitten area, but thought better of it since his fingers weren’t disinfected, and put it down again.
Really.
Jiang Li was sweating all over, and although Cen Lang hadn’t done anything extra, he had held onto the meat on the back of the neck for a full ten minutes.
It felt like a painfully long ten minutes, akin to being in a dungeon.
Jiang Li washed his face and looked in the mirror, suddenly remembering—not resolving it quickly might cause it to really rot.
…
From then on, Cen Lang reported being more diligent than going to school.
If he couldn’t come, he would ask Dr. Xiao Jiang for leave in advance.
“I have something to deal with tomorrow.”
Jiang Li received the message but didn’t reply; he went downstairs to have breakfast.
Jiang Wanlan saw him and asked, “Did Cen Lang not come today?”
He used to appear during breakfast.
Jiang Li: “He’s busy.”
After a while, Lu Jing returned from morning exercises. While changing shoes in the hallway, he said to Jiang Wanlan, “Strange, I didn’t run into Cen Lang on the way.”
A little later, the kid came to the table and took a sip of soy milk. “Did Dad Cen not come?”
Jiang Li: “…”
This is what it’s like to be brought into the family.
Jiang Wanlan: “Baby, let’s go out for lunch today.”
Jiang Li: “Okay.”
Jiang Wanlan didn’t make a reservation in advance; he just took the whole family out and ate wherever they wanted.
Usually, it was Jiang Wangxing who decided, and the kid randomly walked into a restaurant.
As diners left after their meal, they whispered, “I just saw a top Alpha gathering.”
“They must be living it up.”
“Pretty much; it’s quite grand, and I think I saw Cen Lang at the door.”
() “Were there any beautiful Omegas? Is it that kind of party?”
“It was all red inside; I couldn’t see clearly.”
Jiang Li paused slightly. Wasn’t he supposed to be handling something?
Jiang Wanlan also heard it and frowned. “Sounds like a wild party.”
He asked Lu Jing, “Do those top Alphas from the Space Force often gather to drink?”
Alcohol isn’t a good thing; drinking too much can lead to trouble.
Lu Jing shook his head and said, “Not sure.”
Jiang Wanlan: “Should we knock and see?”
Jiang Li shook his head. “No need.”
He picked up Jiang Wangxing and walked quickly past a private room. Suddenly, the door opened from inside, and a large black dog came out, wagging its tail at Jiang Li.
Jiang Li recognised it; it was the one he encountered while climbing the mountain.
Why was a military dog here? Was it on a mission?
Undercover agents often infiltrate high-society gatherings to bust illegal deals.
If this military dog was attracted by him, would it affect the mission?
This military dog had an aura of hostility; criminals would be alerted by its presence.
Jiang Li was about to ask Lu Jing to take it away when the door opened wider, and an Alpha came out and said, “Hei Feng, why did you run off?”
At the same time, Jiang Li looked up and saw the inside of the banquet hall, his pupils contracting.
The space wasn’t large, but it was adorned with many red banners.
Thank you for my brother, the military dog, recognising my wife and child.
celebrating the eldest brother getting out of singledom.
Congratulations to Cen Lang on having a son.
I wish Cen Lang success in his pursuit.
I wish Cen Lang and Dr. Jiang a hundred years of happiness.
…
Hanging from the ceiling to the floor, straightforward, Jiang Li hadn’t seen banners this old-fashioned in a long time.
The visual impact was strong.
The banquet theme was clear; Jiang Li’s toes dug into the ground.
Run!
But it was too late; the Alpha who came out recognised him and said, “Dr. Jiang!”
Jiang Li calmly met his gaze and said, “You’ve got the wrong person.”
