Chapter 28 1/2
The A0, paired with paint, has very high efficiency.
Jiang Li is very suitable for painting, even and white. Cen Lang silently stirs the flame-retardant agent without saying a word. Sacrificing half a wing, he exchanges it for Dr. Jiang to paint, which is acceptable.
The top cover part was painted by Cen Lang himself, climbing up there.
After painting the flame-retardant agent, it needs to solidify for more than three days before the warship can traverse the atmosphere. Cen Lang repaired the hull, and as the White Flame, a land defense warship, it is not afraid of any attacks.
Jiang Li spread a small dining table on the rocks and placed dry food on it. Having learned from the experience of morning sickness, he dared not drink nutrient solutions, but if he didn’t eat regularly, he was afraid that the warship would not be repaired on time and the food would be insufficient.
Eat sparingly.
Earlier this morning, Jiang Li believed that the warship would be repaired soon, but after Cen Lang held him and apologized, he became uncertain. He sensed anxiety from Cen Lang, something he hadn’t felt even when facing death in the underground storm.
An Alpha who is omnipotent, has experienced life and death, and is confident and strong—even Jiang Li did not perceive anxiety from him when he faced death in the underground city.
Cen Lang often says, “You are the one I brought to the space fleet, and I must ensure your safety.” Jiang Li became Cen Lang’s responsibility, so life and death cannot be ignored.
In short, it has something to do with him.
Jiang Li set up the table, dividing the food into two portions. Cen Lang sat opposite him, habitually reaching out to wipe Jiang Li’s hands.
Jiang Li lifted his chin.
Cen Lang helplessly picked up a cup of water in front of him. He used to supervise Jiang Li’s meals, but now Jiang Jun supervises him drinking water, not missing a single time. He even wants to save face-washing water for Jiang Li.
“Finished drinking.”
Jiang Li nodded and lowered his head to wipe Cen Lang’s hands thoroughly—back of the hand, palm, gaps between fingers.
Cen Lang hung his eyes, trying to block the sensation on half of his arm.
Being wiped is both enjoyment and punishment, and the latter gradually overwhelms the former. It always makes him think of improper things, like an Alpha who has been in the space fleet for ten years and has not seen an Omega lacking self-control.
“Done.” Jiang Li threw away the disposable tissue.
Cen Lang withdrew his hand and tore open a bread bag with the strength of a mountain.
The veins on his wrist bulged, as if breaking free from the subtle and tingling sensation like a drizzle. “Tonight, I will go to a farther place to install a signal transmitter. The nearby base will receive the signal and know that there are people here.”
Choosing a suitable location can increase the probability of the signal being received. When people from the space base come to check on the situation, they can take Jiang Li back first.
He has to wait for the warship to be repaired himself.
“Stay in the warship; don’t go out; don’t open the door when you hear any sound; wait for me to come back.”
Jiang Li: “Okay.”
Cen Lang thought for a moment, still not at ease. After Jiang Li finished eating three things, he took him to the cockpit and taught him a few simple attack commands. “If Bai Yan detects the approach of an aggressive object, it is from the space fleet, the green light here. If it’s an unwelcome guest, the red light is on, start the attack program, and you can give the command.”
Cen Lang grabbed Jiang Li’s thumb and forcefully inputted his fingerprint. “It now listens to you.”
Jiang Li twisted his thumb. “Will you be gone for a long time?” There are no living beings on this planet, and Cen Lang is guarding against extraterrestrial visitors.
Cen Lang: “Two or three hours, at most five hours. You sleep, and I’ll be back.”
Cen Lang carried the signal transmitter on his back and took a folding water storage bag. He also needed to find a water source.
Jiang Li watched Cen Lang, who walked out of the warship. The scent of his pheromones wasn’t strong; it was diluted like clear waves; maybe he himself didn’t notice.
One meter away, Jiang Li couldn’t smell it anymore.
He is safe on the warship. What if Cen Lang encounters danger outside? Jiang Li couldn’t help but shout, “Team Cen!”
Cen Lang turned around and said, “Hmm?”
Jiang Li pursed his lips and said, “I’m not afraid at all when I’m with you.” Would saying this reduce Cen Lang’s anxiety?
Cen Lang squinted and smiled: “I’ll be back soon.”
He’s not afraid, but in his eyes, Dr. Jiang, who hopes he won’t leave, is too cute. Will he not be able to sleep without him at night? He also doesn’t want to leave Jiang Li alone. Cen Lang used all his strength for extreme off-roading, rushing towards the direction of water estimated by observing the airflow and clouds.
Jiang Li wanted to wait for Cen Lang to come back and wipe the dust in the living area with a dry cloth. After one hour and two hours passed, Jiang Li suddenly realized that cleaning for digestion might be unnecessary and quietly sat on the bed.
Beep, beep.
The cockpit lit up with a red light, indicating that there were other spacecraft approaching this desolate star.
Jiang Li quickly entered the cockpit and focused on the situation. On the three-dimensional panel, a red dot with arcs drawn clearly indicated the direction of the intruder.
[Intercept|Shoot down? ]
Jiang Li hesitated with his finger. It’s challenging for someone who hasn’t been on the battlefield to make a decisive decision. Are the people above good or bad? What is their purpose in coming here?
But the red dot is about to fly in the direction Cen Lang left. What if it lands there? Cen Lang has great military achievements, and any hostile force would want to capture him.
In an instant, Jiang Li transmitted the “Warning” command taught by Cen Lang.
Warn the other party not to approach or be shot. Not enough. He must make the other party dare not approach the sky above Cen Lang’s head.
Jiang Li, who has been idle recently, remembered the commonly used signs to demarcate airspace in the interstellar. He issued five warnings in a row, forming a net in the night sky, indicating that a certain area is his territory. The speed of the red dot slowed down, seemingly hesitating. Then a green dot appeared, closely biting the red dot. The red dot immediately turned in the other direction.
“The green dot represents the space fleet friendly to Bai Yan.”
With a green dot chasing the red dot, Jiang Li breathed a sigh of relief.
He stared at the cockpit for two hours, and a slight change appeared on the completely black panel.
[Biological entities are approaching.]
The other party did not carry offensive weapons.
Jiang Li’s eyes lit up, thinking that Cen Lang had come back. He hurriedly looked around for Cen Lang’s figure in the window.
Two figures were supporting each other, one limping and the other hobbling. Suddenly, the person on the right stumbled and fell.
