Pheromone Collision Chapter 50.2

Chapter 50 2/2

“Really?”

Jiang Li remained silent for a moment and spoke truthfully, “Yes.”

Cen Lang was instantly satisfied. If Jiang Li agreed to accompany him, what difference did it make from the proposal’s “I do”?

Jiang Li warned, “Don’t think about deliberately losing control.”

Cen Lang replied, “Rest assured, I’m not that foolish. Accompanying you sensibly is the most important thing.” Jiang Li’s expression eased slightly, and then he heard Cen Lang say, “Does Dr. Xiao Jiang have any needs?” “What?”

Cen Lang opened his phone and displayed an authoritative Alpha Pregnancy Companion Guide: “It says here that Omega in the later stages of pregnancy may occasionally have needs. Alphas should restrain themselves and not yield to every request. The child’s well-being should be the top priority.”

Dr. Xiao Jiang’s face suddenly turned red. Of course, he knew that Omega’s craving for Alpha pheromones during pregnancy was a disguised need. Alphas needed to control the amount of pheromones they provided; too little could make Omega feel insecure, while too much could lead to more demands.

Pregnancy was challenging, and there were specialized courses on alpha-pheromone dosage. Cen Lang, with his pheromone storms, habitually controlled the concentration just right.

Jiang Li had read about it in Gu Yunkai’s book. Some couples still had a nightlife even approaching seven months of pregnancy, but the positions were more sophisticated. Cen Lang leaned close to Jiang Li’s ear and teased, “It’s great; Dr. Xiao Jiang is resolute, and I don’t have to hesitate about giving or not giving.” Jiang Li’s face turned hot.

The timer in the room went off. Cen Lang seized the opportunity to flirt with Jiang Li; thankfully, Lu Jing and Jiang Wanlan seemed unfazed. Jiang Li calmly bit his lip, went in, and removed the needle from Jiang Wanlan’s neck.

“Take your medication on time; regularly check your pheromone levels through blood tests. If possible, avoid using suppressants during the first sensitivity period after stopping medication.”

Jiang Wanlan obediently said, “If the baby says we don’t need it, then we don’t need it.”

Cen Lang curiously asked, “Have you given Jiang Li any other names?”

Lu Jing replied, “Not yet.”

Jiang Wanlan hesitated and said, “Because I want to keep calling him baby, I haven’t given him another name.” “Jiang Li, do you think it’s childish?”

Jiang Li pursed his lips and said, “No.”

Jiang Wanlan asked cautiously, “How did you get your name?”

Jiang Li said, “I saw you in the news when I was in first grade, thought you were cool, and decided to use it.”

He only explained the surname.

Jiang Wanlan wiped his face. His child knew himself at the age of six and carried his surname, but he couldn’t find his own.

He was about to ask for the specific name of the orphanage when his phone, placed on the table, vibrated. It was his secretary responsible for the interstellar-wide age-appropriate youth parent-child identification.

Thinking about Jiang Li, Jiang Wanlan forgot to stop and answered, “I found the child; use the remaining testing funds to establish a children’s foundation and take care of it.”

The secretary received the message and confirmed, “Congratulations, General Jiang. However, someone has provided a clue. Since General Jiang previously offered a reward of $5 million for valid information, should we still give this money?”

Jiang Wanlan replied, “What clue is it? If it’s valid, then give it.” Although he was a step behind Cen Lang, without Cen Lang, this person would be Jiang Wanlan’s savior.

The secretary said, “It’s an anonymous tip. The person asks you to check a child with the number 19 from the Red Leaf Orphanage in X5 District. If it’s him, transfer five million to his account.”

“X5 District Red Leaf Orphanage, number 19?” Jiang Wanlan repeated, looking at Jiang Li. “Is it you?”

He didn’t like these cold and impersonal numbers, and he tried to say it gently.

Jiang Li hesitated. “Yes.”

Jiang Wanlan’s hands and feet went cold. Why was it so accurate? Who was this person? Did he always know Jiang Li’s identity? “Send him the money and check on the person behind the account.”

Cen Lang’s eyes deepened. “What’s wrong? Did someone provide a clue?”

Jiang Wanlan nodded. “Wait a moment. The secretary said the account is not encrypted; we’ll soon find out who it is.” The secretary quickly sent a text message, “The son of the Hui Xing Home Furnishings boss, Maxi.”

Cen Lang’s eyes flashed with coldness. He patted Jiang Li’s head. “Let’s take a break, okay?”

Jiang Li asked, “Huh?”

Cen Lang directly picked him up and laid him in Jiang Wanlan’s bedroom.

Jiang Li wanted to get up, but Cen Lang kissed him. “I’ll only get up if you do,” Cen Lang said with a smile.

Jiang Li looked outside at the two fathers, who looked serious, as if no one cared that their son had just been kissed. Cen Lang whispered, “Maxi is a child from the same orphanage as Jiang Li. Bring him in for questioning.”

He had long had people following this group; whether or not to catch them was a matter of a word. Perhaps Lu Jing and Jiang Wanlan also wanted to personally avenge their child, which is why he hadn’t dealt with them yet.

But sometimes, there was no need to dirty his hands; the bodyguards pried Maxi’s mouth open.

“When the Jiang family first tested, he saw the orphanage director deliberately taking a hair from a child who had just died of typhoid fever and didn’t pull it from the head of the sleeping number 19.”

Jiang Wanlan looked at this message; his vision darkened, and he barely stood. “Why?”
