Pheromone Collision Chapter 52.2

Chapter 52 2/2

The corner of Jiang Li’s mouth hooked subtly. “It’s too late; I’ll talk about it tomorrow.”

Cen Lang praised, “Dr. Xiao Jiang is amazing.”

Cen Lang didn’t really want to go back to the next room. “Can I sleep on the floor here?”

Jiang Li replied, “No.”

Cen Lang said, “Okay, call me if you need anything.”

He took the empty cup from Jiang Li’s hand. Did he just drink from this cup? Indirect kiss? Jiang Li had to purse his lips, drew his legs onto the bed, and said, “I’m going to sleep.” Cen Lang watched him lie down, said “Good night,” and helped him turn off the lights and close the door.

The next morning, the sanatorium’s cafeteria delivered a delicious and abundant breakfast. There was an extra-steamed egg custard in front of Jiang Li.

Jiang Wanlan tightly held the chopsticks. “I made the steamed egg custard; see if you like it or not.”

Jiang Li scooped a piece of custard with a soup spoon; it was softer and smoother than jelly, delicious, and seemed to be mixed with something along with the egg liquid. It went down without needing to be chewed.

Looking at the custard, he suddenly understood that it was a children’s meal. “I like it; I want to learn from Dad.”

Jiang Wanlan’s eyes brightened. “You can eat what I make; don’t experiment with your hands; don’t do anything else.”

Jiang Li added, “I can cook congee.”

Cen Lang interjected, “He can make abalone congee,” even though the abalone came from a can.

Jiang Wanlan felt his son was good at everything: “It must be delicious.”

Cen Lang added, “Last year he bought a pot intending to cook congee in the dormitory. He only bought freeze-dried vegetables and rice for ingredients. He said he would treat me to a meal. He bought abalone canned from the dorm next door at the last minute. He’s nice to others but strict with himself.”

Jiang Li: “…”

Was he telling his story to please his dad?

Jiang Wanlan took a red-braised abalone and apologized, “Sorry, baby, for making you eat freeze-dried vegetables.” He then picked up a chicken leg for Cen Lang, hoping he would say more. These things, he would never hear from Jiang Li. Jiang Li couldn’t help it; he had two bowls of abalone congee and dared to show off here. Seeing that everyone was not eating, he said, “Dad, the child belongs to Cen Lang.”

Jiang Wanlan’s hand dropped a chicken leg into Lu Jing’s soup.

Snap.

The two dads took three seconds to digest the information.

Lu Jing’s face turned dark.

Jiang Wanlan looked at Cen Lang in disbelief. He’s carrying your child, and Jiang Li is eating vegetables to buy abalone to cook for you?

Cen Lang: “…”

He overlooked it, forgetting that today Jiang Li was going to give him proper status.

Jiang Wanlan still couldn’t believe it: “Isn’t Cen always supposed to have storm syndrome?”

Jiang Li, improvising a lousy script, said, “I’m actually an Omega. He lost control of his pheromones and was locked in the underground dungeon. I happened to discover that I wasn’t affected and could save him, so I marked him.”

Jiang Wanlan corrected, “No, didn’t he openly look for a caregiver? Was that person you?”

Jiang Li: “Yes, because we are… friends. I didn’t want him to recognize me and not be able to be friends. During the pheromone outburst, memories are self-erased by the brain. So, I disguised myself as a caregiver and went.”

Before, Jiang Wanlan admired the fact that a caregiver could escape from Cen Lang’s scrutiny. Turns out… It was his son! Jiang Wanlan felt a pang in his heart. “Is the pregnancy an accident?” Jiang Li said. “Because the probability is low, I didn’t plan to tell Cen Lang, but he found out when he chased me to D6.”

Lu Jing’s brow furrowed. He had initially suspected signs of Jiang Li being pregnant; he should have told Cen Lang. From three months to six months, Jiang Li went through it alone. He, a poor student, must have been tight on money. What if Cen Lang hadn’t found out? How would he raise the child alone?

How did Cen Lang find out about the pregnancy after six months?! How could an Alpha not recognize the Omega he marked? And still take him to heaven and earth?

Lu Jing couldn’t eat, stood up, and said, “Cen, let’s go out for training.”

Cen Lang agreed, and this time no one stopped them.

Jiang Li finished the remaining food and stood by the window, looking down. The two Alphas ran in the direction of the sanatorium’s sports field, disappearing after a turn.

Jiang Li’s forehead almost touched the glass as he thought about hiding some of the truth from his dad. If he didn’t mention the psychological issues he developed in the orphanage, Cen Lang would be put on fire.

This was what Cen Lang promised. He said he’d rather be beaten like this. Although, with Cen Lang’s skills, nothing serious would happen.

Jiang Li asked himself, What did he mean by letting Cen Lang “take a beating”? Would he let a “suitor” take responsibility for him?

He knew the answer.

With a decrease in treatment, compensation must be made in terms of status to regain some dignity.

As Jiang Li thought about it, he blushed. Cen Lang had explicitly rejected a platonic relationship. If he agreed to his pursuit… It meant keeping a reserve of nutritional supplements.

It was really hard to swallow.

Jiang Wanlan saw Jiang Li standing by the window, frowning and blushing alternately. This… really made Cen Lang earn a lot. Lu Jing got irritated.

What identity did he have to train with someone? A slight injury, and he’d lose his son to him.
