Chapter 70 2/2
Cen Lang tore open the packaging, tossed it up, and in a swift leap, Black Wind soared, mouth-grabbing the beef jerky, quietly and elegantly enjoying it on all fours.
This was Cen Lang’s routine: waiting for Jiang Li to finish work while entertaining his cub and rewarding Black Wind. Over time, both cub and dog developed a fondness for waiting for Jiang Li to get off work.
“Um!” The cub, holding a bottle, followed the movement of the beef jerky.
After Black Wind finished eating, he sat upright, silently and faithfully surveying the surroundings. The cub exclaimed, “Wow!”
Cen Lang suddenly froze, his hand holding the beef jerky packaging trembling slightly. He held the cub up, scrutinising him. With so many people at home, did you learn to eat like Black Wind, or did you teach yourself?
“Cub, you’re putting your dad in a dangerous situation.” Cen Lang’s mood was complex.
At 6:10, Jiang Li briskly walked out of the research institute, meeting the father-son duo in the same spot. After a brief exchange, Jiang Li took the cub, then returned him to Cen Lang, citing a tiring day of experiments.
Jiang Li, holding the dog, and Cen Lang, holding the cub, walked towards home.
Cen Lang suggested, “Dr. Xiao Jiang is off tomorrow; why not send the cub to his dad tonight?”
Jiang Li glanced at him. Due to the special nature of their pheromones, Jiang Wanlan and Lu Jing, initially living downstairs, moved next door to them. With neighbouring villas separated by fifty metres, they even removed the fence in the middle of the yard, planting grass for the children to play.
Jiang Li blushed slightly, as if reporting to his dad was required for certain activities.
Jiang Li questioned, “Why must he go to dad’s? He can sleep through the night now.” Jiang Wangxing, like Jiang Li, was immune to their dad’s pheromones.
Cen Lang calmly stated, “Because I want to hear you speak.”
Jiang Li:
The two went to dad’s villa for dinner, coinciding with Jiang Wanlan and Lu Jing finishing work.
After washing his hands, Jiang Wanlan’s first move was to hold the cub. Cen Lang helped in the kitchen, placing Jiang Wangxing’s supplementary food on a small table. Jiang Li scooped up the baby food and said, “Dad, put him in the chair.”
Jiang Wanlan, strict at work, surprisingly had a good temper at home. “I’ll hold him while eating.” “Okay.”
Jiang Li sat opposite his dad, feeding the cub without using a napkin throughout the process.
“Good job, take another bite.” “You’re the most amazing eater!”
Amidst dad and grandpa’s praises, the cub lost himself, eating happily and standing in Jiang Wanlan’s arms when full. Cen Lang, close to him, purposely dropped a piece of food on the table, picked it up, and threw it in the trash.
That’s the normal routine, understand?
Jiang Wangxing:?
Cen Lang demonstrated again.
Jiang Li, puzzled, asked, “Is your arm injured?”
Last time, Cen Lang failed to pick up the food because he electrocuted his arm to suppress pheromones. Cen Lang: “No.”
Jiang Li rolled up his sleeve, confirming it was fine and straightforwardly asking, “Then why can’t you pick it up steadily?”
Cen Lang: “Excited mood.”
Jiang Li reacted, kicking him under the table.
After dinner, the family chatted as usual in the open space in front of the villa, discussing how to celebrate Jiang Li’s birthday.
People inside the circle knew Jiang Li’s identity; Jiang Wanlan wanted to host a banquet to formally introduce Jiang Li.
However, the idea was quickly dismissed. Everything was based on Jiang Li’s comfort.
At nine o’clock, Cen Lang stood up first, casually saying, “Dad, let Wangxing stay with you tonight.”
Jiang Wanlan: “Sure.”
Jiang Li silently stood up, following Cen Lang back to the opposite villa.
Recently, Jiang Li had been working overtime for half a month. Cen Lang, who is a vegetarian every day, finally waited for his day off. He specially arranged the bedroom, removing all children’s items to create an atmosphere for their private world.
Jiang Li looked around the bedroom, unaccustomed to the absence of Cub’s clothes, diapers, and crib. “Isn’t this troublesome? We have to revert it tomorrow.”
Cen Lang didn’t understand. “What’s so troublesome?”
Jiang Li: “Well, compared to the dungeon, the bedroom doesn’t rank high.”
Cen Lang: “It’s just the two of us.” Any remnants of the cub were irrelevant to their private world. Since meeting Jiang Li and having a child, Cen Lang has occasionally wanted to make up for Jiang Li, allowing him to escape the role of a dad.
Of course, Dr. Xiao Jiang would express that he didn’t need this specific form of compensation.
The atmosphere was good.
Cen Lang’s tactics were beyond Dr. Xiao Jiang’s capabilities. He was coaxed into the bathroom, and at some point, the bathroom had turned into two mirrored walls.
Cen Lang whispered, “Darling, help me undress.”
Jiang Li, hands trembling, unbuttoned his shirt. When it was off, he paused for three seconds, then couldn’t hold back, burst into laughter, and scratched Cen Lang’s shoulder. “Look in the mirror.”
Cen Lang looked up at the mirror, his face turning dark. How did he get a black handprint on his back? It was evident who did it.
“Laugh at me again, and I’ll beat up your son!”
