Chapter 84 2/2
Cen Lang thought, Will Jiang Li be as happy as a fool every time he returns home once he becomes a warrior like Uncle Lu?
…
Nongjiale is a large estate with a big lake inside, cultivating lotus flowers and fish, with chicken coops, sheep pens, cattle pens, duck pens, etc.all surrounded by natural bamboo fences, more expensive than iron railings.
Adult domestic poultry are kept in pens, while newly hatched fluffy chicks and ducklings roam freely outside, pecking at the grass.
Jiang Wanlan, accompanied by his son, strolls through the farm like a zoo, inspecting each pen.
Nongjiale provides ready-made chicken and lamb; there is no on-site slaughtering.
While Lu Jing is roasting chicken, Jiang Wanlan sits besides him, discussing past mission anecdotes. Due to the reliability of the Cen family’s bodyguard team and Cen Lang himself, Jiang Wanlan gradually emerges from the shadow of almost losing his son, allowing the child to play on his own.
Little Jiang Li walks on the grass, followed by a string of fluffy chicks and ducklings—incredibly cute.
“Brother, why are they following me?”
“Because you’re also a cub.”
“What’s a cub?” Little Jiang Li asks while running.
“A cub is a very cute thing.”
Two- or three-year-old children love playing chase games and recklessly competing with adults.
Jiang Li discovers that racing with chicks is also fun for the first time, laughing so much that Jiang Wanlan can hear it.
Until tired, he returns to his father’s arms.
Jiang Wanlan sniffs his clothes, feeling something off, checks his hat, and finds a few oats.
Opening the bottom of the hat, he discovers a small hole cut by someone.
Ah, that’s why the chicks are following Jiang Li; it turns out it’s a bag of oats dropping as he runs.
Jiang Wanlan finds it amusing; Cen Lang always comes up with many automatic parenting methods.
Lu Jing finishes roasting a chicken, tears open the leg, and gives pieces to the two kids.
The two children sit in a row, eating chicken legs. Lu Jing wears gloves, tears the meat around the chicken wings, dips it in sauce, and hands it to Jiang Wanlan’s mouth.
Jiang Wanlan eats while responding to work messages, saying, “I need more tomato sauce.”
“Okay.”
Little Jiang Li looks at his and Cen Lang’s bare chicken legs, asking, “Do you want a bit more tomato sauce?”
Cen Lang takes his chicken leg, brushes it in the tomato sauce, and hands him a red chicken leg.
Jiang Li ends up with a face full of tomato sauce; his brother always gives him the most.
“Sharing a bit with you.” Jiang Li rubs his chicken leg against Cen Lang’s.
“Thanks.” Cen Lang takes a bite of chicken with tomato sauce. The taste improves a bit; he doesn’t mind eating plain boiled chicken or fried chicken, but when Jiang Li enjoys something tasty during their meals, he always shares it with Cen Lang.
“Oh, it’s gone.” Jiang Li just sits down, then stands up again, and rubs a bit more tomato sauce.
Cen Lang sees him happily busy; having gained experience, he avoids the side with tomato sauce.
Jiang Li feels at ease when he sees tomato sauce, focusing on enjoying his chicken leg.
Jiang Wanlan, looking at the little one, says, “Lu Jing, when we go back later, if you have time, teach Cen Lang to assemble firearms. He has been with me longer than you.”
Dating is actually suitable for bringing Cen Lang; Jiang Li won’t keep saying ‘dad’ every now and then.
Lu Jing: “Okay.”
Lu Jing’s roasted chicken is not large, but the meat is tender. Jiang Li can eat enough, but Cen Lang probably can’t.
Jiang Wanlan claps his hands and says, “Children, come and order. What would you like to roast next?”
Jiang Li eats his chicken leg while looking at the lake. “Brother, is eating fish good? Dad says eating fish makes you smarter and avoids headaches when writing essays.”
He looks at Cen Lang, determined, and says, “I want to eat a lot of fish.”
Cen Lang suddenly feels a bit burdened as an older brother.
Not writing essays or anything is too lame! “
