The sky was already bright, but Beland was still raining heavily.
Getting off the double-decker red bus Shen Yi walked back to the Cafe against the rain and wind and unlocked the door and pushed the glass door open.
After entering, he took off his raincoat at the entrance. The old clothes inside were already wet from rain.
“It’s wet.”
Shen Yi shook his head.
“Alas, it’s really inconvenient to go out on a rainy day. I have to take a shower, it is sticky and uncomfortable.”
Closing the glass door, he went back to the back room.
Boiled hot water, took off his old clothes, and wiped himself with a towel.
After that, he took out the notebook from the drawer and wrote the new information on it, about George’s identity and claims, Aina’s trepidation, and recorded the new information about Byron’s.
“George hopes to find Aina, and the Chaos Remnant Order where Aina is in is under attack and wants to summon the Lord of Ashes again.”
“Byron resurrected his daughter, and the new summoning point is the villa outside of South Beland, his assistant left the villa in a bus, the exact location of the trip is unknown.”
Writing here, Shen Yi marked a circle above the assistant, wrote the word “student” in it, and put a question mark.
There were two things to do, First was to find the opportunity to go to the villa and find out more about mystics and the second was to find a way to keep borrowing the book from the academy.
“How can this be done…”
After pondering for a while, he took out the shadow mask from the drawer, lowered his head, and gently threw it into the shadow.
“I think I should try this method.”
His originally handsome face began to change into a normal-looking man, looking around twenty years old – a regular student at the Beland Imperial Academy.
He had once accepted Shen Yi’s money and borrowed “The Origin of the Gods Beyond the World” for a period of time.
“Well, do me one more favor.”
Shen Yi smiled and decided to let “him” help himself again.
As long as he could get the other party’s student card…he could freely enter and exit the library of Beland Imperial College and also read all the mysticism books by himself.
As for investigating the summoning location, he also felt that he could try it, because he had the three transcendent powers, flame detection, fogging, and transformation, which was really suitable for investigation.
“But, there is only one thing that concerns me.” Shen Yi said to himself.
What concerned him most was the one that Aina had mentioned – the “Breath of the Worldly God”.
~I must find a way to eliminate it, or at least find the reason why it will appear, otherwise, the extraordinary people of this city will find me one after another, and it is only a matter of time before a crisis occurs.
He wrote in his notebook – “Need a to cover up the breath.”
But for covering the breath, he first had to know how the “breath of extraterrestrial gods” was generated.
“Whether it’s Aina or George, it’s because they sense this breath that they can ‘confirm’ that I’m an existence connected with an extraterrestrial god.”
“In other words, the easiest way to find out how this breath is created is from both of them.”
He was in a bit of trouble. He wanted to complete the extract information without being exposed by the two of them, which required wit and cleverness.
“Well, I’d rather not open a coffee shop and just sell insurance.”
He had a little headache, as a traveler, he also wanted to be righteous all the way to crush invincible, rather than struggling to think of a way to survive.
Just then, he heard someone asking from outside the door.
“Are you here?”
Hearing the voice, he turned around and looked outside the room.
Although he could not see the person from inside, he could tell from the voice – it was the investigator, George.
He just wanted to go back room for a while, so he didn’t lock the door of the cafe… As a result, the trouble came just at this time.
Sighing, he helplessly said to himself: “If one day I get rich, I must hire an employee to help me share the pressure, in all aspects.”
~But there are a lot of secrets, and if I want to hire new employees, I must find someone who is not sharp enough.
Once again, he put on his work clothes, an exquisitely crafted black and white uniform, put away his mask and notebook, and walked from the backroom to the cafe.
___
Three minutes ago, Su Ling and George stood outside the cafe door, they didn’t immediately go inside, instead staying outside in the rain.
“Here?”
Su Ling looked at it curiously. It looked as if it were just a coffee shop without any enticements. There was nothing mysterious about it, and it didn’t even seem to make people feel full.
She didn’t like fancy and expensive places to eat.
Su Ling really couldn’t find a reason to come to such a place where getting not enough to eat and wasting money-now she did find one, it was when someone else was buying her dinner.
George reminded, “Do not underestimate this place, this café is inhabited by a person related to the extraterrestrial god, the exact identity has not been determined yet.”
His complexion gradually became solemn and said seriously: “I have been here many times, and I have sensed more than one kind of divine aura, which has never happened in history, and even the ‘300 million-year-old library’ inside the Anti-Magic Bureau has not found anything similar like this.”
Hearing the word “extraterrestrial god” Su Ling put her hand on the hilt of the sword at her waist and asked, “A person related to the extraterrestrial god? Are we going to fight him here?”
“What are you thinking, it’s impossible for a rookie like you to beat him.” George smiled and shook his head.
Su Ling’s tone was full of discontent: “I told you, I’m not a rookie or any newcomer, I fought long before I joined the Anti-Magic Bureau.”
Instead of quarreling with her, George said: “He’s friendly to humans, at least so far he hasn’t shown any specific hostility.”
“So the plan set by the Anti-Magic Bureau is to observe and communicate to ‘this man’ for the time being.”
Su Ling paused for a moment, let go of the hilt, and pursued, “Why not solve it? Isn’t the Bureau exist to expel all kinds of evil cultists, extraterrestrial things, and weirdness?”
A bitter smile appeared on George’s face.
“No, you’re completely wrong. You should have seen the slogan hanging on the wall of the Anti-Magic Bureau when you joined, right?”
“Well.” Su Ling nodded and said, “Humans will survive in the cracks.”
George nodded his head and continued, “Yes, even though the Anti-Magic Bureau has made emergency plans, eliminating the existence of such a level is tantamount to starting a real war, we may win, but Beland will also be completely destroyed, countless lives fade, do you think it’s worth it?”
Su Ling probably understood: “So, the work of the Anti-Magic Bureau is to prevent… If you can’t prevent them from coming, you can only compromise and remedy them?”
After a long silence, George said again, “Humans must live in the cracks.”
With that, he pushed open the cafe door and walked in one step ahead, but he did not see the owner.
George used to see the owner waiting with a gentle smile in the Cafe whenever he came, but this was the first time he was not here.
Su Ling followed in curiously and looked around the cafe.
It was a cozy cafe, decorated in a warm tone and soft-glow lights and inside the cafe soothing jazz was playing out, blocking the sound of the rainstorm from the outside.
Su Ling also understands a little, why would someone come to eat in a place like this – when someone treats you.
But what about the cafe owner George was talking about?
She opened her mouth and asked, “Is there anyone here? The man you mentioned doesn’t seem to be here.”
George did not answer and looked in the direction of the back room of the cafe: “Are you here?”
Shen Yi, who had changed his clothes, came out of the back room with a smile.
“You’re here again on such a rainy day, Mr. George, you absolutely love my coffee.”
As the mysterious cafe owner appeared, Su Ling subconsciously glanced at him.
Shangxuan people, quite handsome appearance, thin and frail, black short hair, a comforting and gentle smile on his face, like the main tone of this cafe, but vaguely hiding some secret.
Su Ling did not recognize Shen Yi as the mysterious person she met in the morning.
~Is he related to an extraterrestrial god?
Many images flashed through Su Ling’s mind one by one, the books of the God Beyond the World, the fire in the home, the crazy father, the corpse of her mother, the black knife ……
~If I can …… It would be better to get rid of them all.
Taking a deep breath she suppressed the strange impulse deep inside and introduced herself solemnly: “Hello, sir, I’m a new investigator of the Anti-Magic Bureau Bureau, Su Ling.”
“A newcomer? A beautiful lady.”
Shen Yi smiled warmly. In fact, he recognized her at first sight, the other party was the girl from the Shangxuan who he saw in the morning.
“Well, I thought the Anti-Magic Bureau would only recruit adults. Is she… a high school student?”
