The Nolan’s Anti-Magic Bureau building has located in North Beland.
The headquarters was fairly a clean five-story building, built in the closest to the south of North Beland, consisting of two rows of buildings in a two-wing structure, which looked like a “greater than” placed on the ground when looking from the sky.
The two-wing buildings correspond to two spacious streets with no commercial or residential areas around. Apparently, at the time of planning, they had made some restrictions, and only a few people pass through on a daily basis.
Behind the Anti-Magic Bureau building were Nolan’s palace and government offices, facing the residential area of South Beland.
Although the investigators of the Anti-Magic Bureau had their own cars, there was a bus stop not far in front of the building.
Shen Yi got off the bus with an umbrella and found several black luminous was parked aside, and people in black suits got out of the cars.
They seemed to be working in the Anti-Magic Bureau, all normal-looking, talking and laughing, not at all looking like special workers who wandered the world year after year.
Shen Yi once heard from George that not everyone would rush to the front line of the battle, and there was also civilian staff working in the Anti-Magic Bureau.
But he still felt a little confused: “They’re only coming to work at this hour? It’s already almost nine o’clock.”
It was evident that Shen Yi’s abilities weren’t suited to being a solo performance.
If he had the power to kill all his enemies with a single punch, he would probably just seek out the Quiet Word and crush all the cultists into little biscuits.
But after listening to Aina’s description of last night’s event, a terrible bloody night, he realized that the Quiet Word was an organization of dark figures with powerful supernatural powers.
There was no point in going head-to-head, in fact, even if he could beat it, there was no need to fight it by himself.
I’d better report it.
It’s just that George hadn’t come to the cafe for a long time, so left with no choice he came to his door.
Coming to the door of the Anti-Magic Bureau, the guard inside the hut immediately stepped out.
The doorman was a young man in a suit. He politely stopped Shen Yi and asked with a smile.
“May I ask do you need something? This is the government’s office. It’s off-limits to non-related people.”
Shen Yi glanced at him casually. The guard was armed with a gun on his waist, and there were also other guards around who were basically staring at him intently.
Although Shen Yi was not fully aware of the situation of the gate guards, he knew that the defense of the Anti-Magic Bureau must be very tight.
Fortunately, he and they were not hostile.
The two were neither exactly friends nor exactly enemies.
“I have information to provide about the Quiet Word.”
After he said this, the expressions of all the guards inside and outside the door changed instantly.
“Who are you?” the young man asked nervously.
“An informant, help me to convey it to an investigator named George in your bureau.”
The young guard’s face became even more severe, and he took one more look at Shen Yi with an extremely vigilant look.
As one of Nolan’s seven A-level investigators, George’s identity was almost non-existent in the public eyes, let alone public even some of the civilian staff in the bureau had never seen him in person.
However, the man in front of him seemed to be very familiar with this legend, even speaking in a way that he could talk to his old friend.
Having grown accustomed to being looked at with shocked eyes, Shen Yi smiled gently.
“Remember, the information I’m going to say is very important. If you don’t reach it, the consequences will be at your own risk.”
Although it was still unclear who the man in front of him was, the young man was clear that he was definitely a big shot, and it was not uncommon for big shots to come to the Bureau.
He hurriedly nodded his head and looked respectful: “Yes, yes, I will definitely convey it.”
Shen Yi nodded and said: “The Central Library of Beland Imperial College, 3rd floor, The Language of the Silence. … It has important information that you need. It’s very important.”
The guard said with a grave expression, “We will certainly get the news, please rest assured.”
Shen Yi nodded at him with a smile.
“See you again.”
With that he turned around and walked away, not making many stops.
He did not wait for the bus at the station opposite – he had just left a message in the tone of a mysterious big shot, and was waiting across the street from the doormen for another ten minutes for the bus, it would definitely be very awkward to be watched by them.
So he leisurely walked around the street with his umbrella and came to the bus stop, which was relatively far from the headquarters of the Anti-Magic Bureau.
Another person was also waiting for the bus while holding a white umbrella.
He was a very friendly-looking young man in his early twenties, dressed in neat white clothes, with light blue hair, and with the same friendly smile on his face as Shen Yi.
He took the initiative and greeted Shen Yi with a smile.
“Hello.”
Shen Yi was stunned for a moment, then smiled and said, “Hello.”
The gentle smiles of the two people were on par, both had a mysterious charm that attracted others, but Shen Yi was still slightly better in terms of appearance.
The young man said, “I work in this neighborhood, my name is Yaen.”
Shen Yi had seen quite a few acquaintances and replied with a smile, “Well, I came here to find someone I know.”
Yaen immediately said: “Looking for someone, who are you looking for? Tell me, maybe it’s someone I know, I can help you.”
Shen Yi shook his head, smiled, and said, “Thank you for your kindness, but it is no longer needed, I have already finished sending the message.”
Yaen nodded softly and smiled: “I see, so there was a chance to see you again, the bus I’m waiting for is here.”
Although they were waiting for a bus at the same station, the two men were not on the same bus.
Soon after Yaen got on the bus, the bus that Shen Yi had been waiting for arrived.
He closed his umbrella, got into the car calmly, and the next step was to go back to the cafe.
“Let’s see how Aina and the kitten are getting along.”
In the morning Aina was suddenly startled by the cat, it should just be a psychological shadow caused by what happened last night.
Shen Yi said to himself. “Now maybe they’ve mingled and are happily playing together.”
——
Ten minutes later, George, dressed in a black trench coat and holding a black umbrella, brought his new partner Su Ling to the central library of Beland Imperial College.
They had been busy last night because of the large-scale inter-sect incident in West Bayland on the south bank of the Thames, resulting in casualties of some innocent residents and a large number of witnesses.
After arriving at the scene, the Anti-Magic Bureau did a series of finishing touches, erasing the memories of ordinary witnesses and capturing a large number of members of the Chaos Embers Church.
All in all, the investigators that Shen Yi had just met who came to the Anti-Magic Bureau by car did not go to work until almost nine o’clock, but they had not been off work until midnight.
Although they had been busy all night, cleaning up a lot of corpses and fighting some battles, they were still chatting like ordinary people.
George came in front of the occult bookshelf, and Su Ling was standing aside, the two of them looking tense.
The people in the library were evacuated for a reason because the headquarters of the Demon Prevention Bureau could not be sure what was in the book.
Was it really just information, or a “special thing” that would cause serious consequences once opened.
In any case, as an investigator, George needed to try it out for himself.
However, he was willing to trust the cafe owner.
“Let me see.”
Taking a deep breath, he slowly stretched out his hand and touched the “The Language of Silence” on the bookshelf, and slowly took it out.
With insight.
He opened the book silently and soon found a light blue luminous page from “The Language of Silence”, not like paper but more woven with light threads.
He narrowed his eyes. Without any top-level magic skill, there was no way a person could keep the pages that change from memory.
However, since it was the one in the cafe, it is only natural to have strong attainment in magic.
George began to read the words written on the pages of the memory book.
The longer he read, the more intense his face became, and the information contained in the book on this page was enough to bring quiet words to an end in Beland’s power.
It can completely put this heartless order to death!
Moreover, it also confirmed that it was them who wanted to destroy Beland.
George couldn’t help but sigh.
“This man really grasps the whole picture and guides everything, whether it’s us or the two Orders, the people of Beland are probably just pawns struggling and dancing in his eyes.”
Su Ling was stunned, not knowing what was going on, and was very puzzled.
“Aren’t you talking too much? Is he really that good? But the last time I was at the cafe, that man clearly seemed quite gentle, so what exactly is written on this one page?”
Hearing this George closed his eyes, shook his head, and sighed.
“You don’t know anything, Su Ling. The real power is something you haven’t touched yet, some people seem to be ordinary, but with a flick of their finger they can destroy your past and your future.”
“Learn to respect the unusualness of this twisted universe, learn to respect true greatness, learn to live in the gap.”
He paused and continued: “He has left us with information that will make it impossible for the Quiet Word to turn over again in Beland, which was more comprehensive and critical information than we’ve investigated so far.”
George looked serious and said, “I suspect that he also has the ability of a ‘prophet’, after all, this is not uncommon in mythology.”
More comprehensive, more critical… the prophet.
Su Ling fell silent on the spot, and the gentle and handsome man in the cafe gradually became extremely mysterious.
“Does he control the overall situation of the inner world?”
She was a little fortunate that she didn’t offend the other party. If the other party got angry because of herself, so that George and others had an accident, the guilt would make her sleepless.
George discreetly used a small transparent file bag to place this memory page.
He continued: “It’s not too late, let’s go back to the Anti-Magic Bureau immediately, and get the approval of the top management to start the siege work tonight, um, then we will go to the coffee shop immediately.”
Su Ling asked: “What are you going to do?”
George smiled slightly and said, “We’re going to make an inch, let’s see if we can ask him to do it himself.”
