A few days ago, a zombie wanted to attack Chen Luo and eat his liver, and they made a deal.
The time had come.
Chen Luo was ready to give it a try.
He asked Rice, “Rice, do you sense anything?”
After reaching level five, Rice’s sensing time had increased from half an hour to one hour, a significant improvement. If he reached the King level, he would be able to sense for at least a week.
Rice tilted his head and said, “It was surprising but not dangerous. Your luck was off the charts.”
If Rice had said there was no reaction, Chen Luo wouldn’t have gone. It meant that the zombie had run away and didn’t come back, or it didn’t bring any powerful zombies along.
Rice could only sense the result, not the specifics.
Chen Luo pondered, and it was clear that he had to go.
When he encountered the level eight wind zombie, Rice had said that Chen Luo almost died.
Was it just a surprise?
Was that all?
Could a casual agreement bring me great benefits?
What could it be? It definitely couldn’t involve time acceleration, as that would shatter the crystal.
Chen Luo remained calm even when facing level seven or eight zombies. It couldn’t be considered “off the charts” luck.
Excited, Chen Luo left the house.
If it weren’t for Rice, Chen Luo definitely wouldn’t have acted so recklessly.
As he watched Chen Luo leave, Rice wondered why he could no longer sense Chen Luo but could still sense Mi Ling and Mi Li.
It seemed that her ability had a cooldown period for the same target.
Chen Luo arrived early at the designated location. He didn’t bring anyone because if he did, they would die. Chen Luo himself was surprised, while others without the ability to walk through the void would have no chance of survival.
Chen Luo arrived at a roadside and vigilantly observed his surroundings.
He remained alert, if Mifan gave no warning, he would relax, maybe even lie down on the side of the road and take a nap. Who knows, he might end up dead.
Suddenly, Chen Luo squinted his eyes and saw a strong zombie approaching him. It was accompanied by a lean but bloated zombie from a distance.
The bloated belly was likely due to devouring a large amount of flesh and blood.
The strong zombie pointed at Chen Luo from a distance, loudly saying to the lean zombie beside it, “Boss, it’s him. Bite his waist.”
Upon hearing this, the lean zombie revealed an evil smile and began to move its hand from a distance.
Chen Luo suddenly felt spatial fluctuations near his waist.
His pupils contracted. Spatial severance!
Damn, it’s really going to sever my waist.
It was a spatial zombie.
They were extremely rare among zombies, just like the proportion of survivors with spatial abilities. On average, there was only one spatial ability user for every five to six thousand people.
Moreover, this was definitely a mutation of considerable level.
Chen Luo used his ability to walk through the void and escaped over a hundred meters away.
If Chen Luo didn’t have the ability to walk through the void, he would undoubtedly have no chance of survival because it was difficult to avoid spatial severance—it was invisible and intangible.
The lean zombie was stunned, displaying an expression of disbelief.
It was certain that this was not a matter of speed but rather disappearing into thin air.
What ability was this?
It also sensed a spatial fluctuation.
The lean zombie tried to use spatial severance again, but Chen Luo managed to escape.
After a moment of shock, the lean zombie chased after Chen Luo with all its strength.
Chen Luo was taken aback by its speed. It almost covered nearly a hundred meters in just a little over a second.
The speed was astonishing.
If it weren’t for Chen Luo’s level eight nervous system, he probably wouldn’t have been able to see the lean zombie moving.
This zombie was at least level nine.
This time, Chen Luo moved four hundred meters to the south, hiding behind a large rock and cautiously observing.
“It’s really terrifying.”
The gap between each level is significant, with at least a two-fold increase in strength.
Chen Luo is confident in dealing with eighth-level opponents, but lacks confidence against ninth-level ones. If he encounters one, he can only run.
However, Rice said it was only surprising.
Now there is definitely a surprise, as the muscular zombie brought along zombies that are incredibly powerful.
Chen Luo thought for a moment. Without using time acceleration, he managed to defeat the emaciated zombie. The only possibility is that it suddenly dropped dead.
He must have obtained its crystal, otherwise, how could luck explode like that?
I just need to buy a little more time.
Seeing Chen Luo disappear, the emaciated zombie searched around. It was fast, taking at most a few minutes to search the surroundings.
The emaciated zombie shouted loudly, “What ability did you just use? Is it spatial manipulation? Can you teach me?”
Although it is a ninth-level zombie, it really doesn’t know how to use Void Walk.
The emaciated zombie is highly intelligent and knows what it means once it masters this ability.
Chen Luo sneered. How could he possibly teach his unique skill?
If he carefully observes others using their skills and repeatedly studies them, although it is difficult to learn, it is still better than blindly fumbling around.
But Chen Luo was still found by the emaciated zombie. From a distance, it launched another skill towards him.
Suddenly, a closed spatial barrier appeared around Chen Luo.
A spatial cage.
Void Walk cannot be used in every situation.
Intense battles cause severe spatial fluctuations, making it difficult to use Void Walk. This spatial cage is the same; it closes off space.
But who is Chen Luo? He is the Sovereign of the Void.
While others may struggle, Chen Luo excels at Void Walk.
Nothing can trap Chen Luo.
Seeing Chen Luo disappear, the emaciated zombie was dumbfounded. What an amazing technique.
It anxiously shouted, “Teach me, let’s cooperate once, you can ask for anything.”
Chen Luo’s eyes flickered, then he reappeared and said, “Watch carefully, I’ll teach you once. Learn well, whether you can succeed depends on your understanding.”
The emaciated zombie nodded happily.
In front of it, Chen Luo suddenly appeared over a hundred meters away.
This time, the emaciated zombie didn’t chase after Chen Luo but stayed in place, carefully contemplating the sensation.
But its mind went blank.
How did he do it? What’s the principle behind it?
It’s like reading an ancient book.
The emaciated zombie stood still, lost in deep thought.
Chen Luo coughed, “Contemplate carefully, this question isn’t difficult.”
The muscular zombie was dumbfounded. Boss, I came here to kill you, not to do homework.
Why are you just standing there?
Chen Luo glanced at it. I asked you to bring zombies to kill me, but you brought one to kill me?
Just wait for me.
Time passed by, second by second.
Chen Luo concluded that it would definitely drop dead in a short time, benefiting himself.
A ninth-level spatial crystal, it will surely allow him to break through to the seventh level.
The emaciated zombie looked up and said, “Do it again for me to see.”
Chen Luo casually said, “Study it carefully, it’s really not difficult. If you still don’t understand after half an hour, I’ll teach you.”
The emaciated zombie nodded.
After about eight minutes, the emaciated zombie suddenly began convulsing all over its body.
Chen Luo was ecstatic. Oh my, its lifespan is over.
It finally happened.
The emaciated zombie collapsed to the ground, convulsing like a madman, its expression vacant, muttering to itself.
“This question, it’s too difficult, too difficult.”
