Post-apocalyptic world: Stockpile Ten Billion Supplies at the Beginning Chapter 191

Chapter 191: Who Are You Calling Low-Level?

Three luxury cars were traveling on the road.

Chen Luo didn’t go to Jin Yuanjiang alone, not because he was afraid, but because as a boss, going to recruit followers without anyone accompanying you would lack a certain grandeur.

Chen Luo brought Su Dazhu and Xia Haoran along, to establish their dominance.

If there were any unruly rogues or zombies on the road, his men would naturally handle them, while Chen Luo lay flat in the car.

Observing the devastation outside the car window, Chen Luo felt somewhat uneasy.

As they neared Jin Yuanjiang’s location, Chen Luo instructed the member who had returned to convey a message to Song Ling and inform him and Jin Yuanjiang to prepare.

Chen Luo didn’t want to make a grand entrance by directly digging people out in front of others. It wasn’t necessary and would be a blatant provocation.

Is it fun to bully the weak?

If Song Ling and Zhao Ziyi could connect with each other, they could utilize telepathy, making the situation much less complicated.

Even if Zhao Ziyi alone couldn’t connect with many people, it would be best to find several individuals with talents like Zhao Ziyi’s. This would make the establishment of the intelligence department much easier and improve efficiency and safety.

Meanwhile, Song Ling was being reprimanded.

“You’re loafing around every day. Don’t think I don’t know. Damn it, you’re the most active when it comes to eating.”

Undercover work wasn’t easy. No base was willing to support a useless person.

Members on Chen Luo’s side cooperated with each other, and with the turtle shell, their safety was well assured. However, Jin Yuanjiang’s side had varying levels of personnel, making them more susceptible to danger.

Song Ling slacked off every day, constantly testing the limits of others’ patience.

He didn’t dare to be too brave, afraid of being directly killed by zombies.

Song Ling forced a smile, “Brother Yong, I really am working. Look, I’m handing this level four crystal to you.”

Brother Yong’s expression softened a bit, “Do well, and hand over another one in three days.”

Song Ling sighed. Eating like a pig every day. If it weren’t for not wanting to starve, do you think I’d willingly eat this? Once this mission is over, I need to take a good rest at the base.

Upon receiving a reply from Chen Luo, Song Ling was overjoyed and coincidentally took a ride back with his elder brother.

Song Ling quickly contacted Jin Yuanjiang.

Jin Yuanjiang’s thought to himself, “They’ve come so fast.”

Lin Ru expressed some concern, “Brother Jiang, what if Song Ling is deceiving you, and it’s actually someone sent by another base to assassinate you?”

Jin Yuanjiang nodded, “Don’t worry; I’ll be careful. If it’s as Song Ling said, and that base has a level six, they wouldn’t need to set such a trap for me.”

“I’ll go take a look. If they’re sincere, I’ll come back to get you today.”

Jin Yuanjiang pretended to go out to kill zombies, bringing over a dozen trusted henchmen and Song Ling to where Chen Luo was.

Song Ling was closely watched by Jin Yuanjiang. If something was amiss, Song Ling would be the first to die.

If Chen Luo had come alone, it wouldn’t have been very impressive.

Coincidentally, more than twenty zombies attacked, thinking they could handle Chen Luo’s group.

Su Dazhu and Xia Haoran moved to deal with them, and not a single zombie could withstand their blows.

Both of them had absorbed the level eight crystals that Chen Luo had given them and had already reached level six, having absorbed only one-sixth of the crystal’s energy.

Chen Luo didn’t allow them to continue absorbing. It wasn’t necessary because with just one level eight crystal, none of them could directly advance to level seven.

Jin Yuanjiang’s  group was greatly shocked. Two people easily killed over twenty zombies?

Jin Yuanjiang’s pupils contracted. Even he wouldn’t be able to kill zombies so easily.

These two people are extremely strong. I wouldn’t be a match for either of them.

Chen Luo rolled down the car window and smiled, “Jin Yuanjiang? The supplies you wanted are in the trunk. Take a look for yourself.”

While everyone else stood, Chen Luo alone sat in the car, his status evident without the need for words.

Jin Yuanjiang found it hard to believe; this young man was the big shot?

Approaching the car, Jin Yuanjiang opened the trunk.

It was apparent that Su Dazhu and Xia Haoran held a higher level than him. If Chen Luo intended harm, he wouldn’t be able to escape now, and there was no need to be overly defensive.

Inside the not-so-small space were neatly arranged rows of powdered milk. With a rough estimate, there were probably no fewer than fifty to sixty cans.

This occupied less than half of the space, with the rest filled with potatoes, cucumbers, and tomatoes, all still carrying traces of soil.

At the sight of the fresh cucumbers, Jin Yuanjiang couldn’t help but swallow saliva.

Fresh vegetables—their allure was too tempting at this moment, second only to fresh meat.

Indeed, a large quantity of vegetables had been grown.

Milk powder was just one of Jin Yuanjiang’s conditions; what he valued more was the vegetables.

That was the long-term plan.

Chen Luo got out of the car and smiled, “Seeing is believing. What do you think? Will you join us?”

Jin Yuanjiang nodded, “It would be an honor, but you must agree to a condition of mine.”

“Tell me.”

“I know no base keeps idle people, but my wife is pregnant. I hope she can live peacefully in the base, only doing some logistical work.”

No one would want their pregnant wife to go out and face the danger of killing zombies.

Understanding this common concern, Chen Luo nodded, “Agreed. However, the points needed for her will have to be earned by you, and these items won’t be directly given to you. You must kill zombies and accumulate merits to exchange for them.”

Jin Yuanjiang readily agreed; the condition was not at all demanding.

Many things, such as vegetables, couldn’t be obtained even if you had a king-level crystal elsewhere.

Jin Yuanjiang fell into silence for a moment before asking, “I don’t quite understand. Your subordinates are much stronger than me, and there are likely many powerful members in the base. Why did you personally come to recruit a Level 5 like me?”

Although Level 5 was rare, it was not as rare as a giant panda. Jin Yuanjiang knew there were several others.

Su Dazhu and Xia Haoran were much stronger than Jin Yuanjiang, so he couldn’t fathom why Chen Luo personally came to enlist him.

Chen Luo glanced at Jin Yuanjiang, “You have quite a bit of self-awareness.”

Chen Luo said seriously, “Because I want to gather all the elites I can recruit together. Let’s work together to get through this apocalypse.”

“Although your level is a bit lower now, I think you have potential. So, what if I personally approach you?”

Chen Luo spoke the truth; this was indeed the goal he aimed for upon his rebirth.

Otherwise, would he feel a sense of accomplishment in personally coming to recruit Jin Yuanjiang?

Well, subduing a future king-level was indeed a bit exciting for Chen Luo.

The people Jin Yuanjiang brought with him were dumbfounded.

Come on, Brother Jiang is Level 5, already the highest level they knew about before. Now, you’re saying his level is a bit low?
