During the night watch, Chen Luo assigned some members who had not yet reached the second level to keep watch, while the second-level members would continue to kill zombies tomorrow.
Obtaining crystals was one objective; the main goal was to make them experience more battles.

“Break their hand if they dare lay a hand on girls,” Chen Guang muttered under his breath.
Chen Luo’s expression remained unchanged. “If there’s a girl who takes the initiative, I have only four words to say.”

Chen Luo also began absorbing crystals. A single level six crystal couldn’t propel him to level five, but a level five crystal was a different story. He had absorbed quite a few level one crystals before.
Chen Luo started by absorbing the level six crystals; if there were any level five crystals left, he intended to keep them for Mi Ling, Mi Li, and the others to use for breakthroughs.
The Rat King’s crystal was given to Wang Ling, allowing her to reach the third level earlier. Her advancement in the Light element was more valuable than for others.
Feeling a slight soreness in his body, Chen Luo stopped absorbing the crystal. The level six crystal had consumed about two-fifths of his strength.
Chen Luo was quite content; the level six crystal was indeed impressive.
After the bothersome friend left, the incident involving Zhang Jingjing, Mi Li wasn’t in a good mood. Experiencing situations like this would strengthen her spirit.
Chen Luo could only comfort her. He didn’t initially plan to let Rice stay with him, but Rice pleaded pitifully to sleep together.
Fine, he wouldn’t do anything mischievous tonight, so he allowed Rice to sleep with him.

Chen Luo said, “Apart from those who were on night watch last night, all those who have reached the second level should continue to go out and kill zombies. Chen Guang, a few of you on your side have reached the second level.”
Chen Guang replied, “Seven of us.”
Chen Luo nodded and said to Leng Chen, “Today, all of you are going as well. Since you just arrived yesterday, there’s no crystal requirement for you today. Just follow the others and observe, learn how to fight.”
“Shu Yun, you lead the team.”
Shu Yun was the only one among them who was at level three, and he had a good sense of judgment in his actions.
A total of 37 people, still traveling on foot, while Yang Xuan drove the heavy truck slowly behind.
Leng Chen looked at Shu Yun, the team leader, and turned to Chen Guang with surprise. “Hiding true abilities, huh? I thought you’d be leading, but it turns out to be a pretty girl. Is she really skilled?”
Chen Guang chuckled. “Hey, I’m just a little brother here. Among the girls in our group, she’s one of the earliest to reach the second level. Shu Yun, the leader, has great talent and is highly regarded by the boss. She’s already at level three.”
Leng Chen was taken aback, thinking to himself, “Wow, all the girls are at the second level.”
While killing scattered zombies, Shu Yun led the group to Mi Li’s residential area.
When the zombies were below level one, if they were confined within a room, there was a high chance they wouldn’t be able to break free. Once they evolved to level one, they could use spells to break through doors.
At present, most zombies had reached at least level one, so there were likely to be quite a few zombies within the residential area.
Shu Yun’s plan was to eliminate these zombies and gather supplies from within the area. That’s why Yang Xuan was driving the heavy truck over.
Killing two birds with one stone.
Approaching the residential area, Shu Yun indeed spotted some zombies within. She smiled, thinking that the crystals were within reach. Furthermore, this indicated that there probably weren’t any survivor teams stationed in this area.
Zombies were like bodyguards protecting the supplies.
Shu Yun and her group had gained a lot of experience in fighting zombies. Since the zombies weren’t gathered in a large group, they easily took care of the zombies around the perimeter of the residential area.
Shu Yun said, “Form groups of four. Search each unit for supplies and transport them to the heavy truck. Be cautious of any zombies that might be in the hallways of the buildings, and communicate if needed.”
“Jiang Feng, guard the entrance of the residential area. Let us know if anything happens via the walkie-talkie.”
The team members dispersed, with each group assigned to a different building.
When encountering zombies, the members with physical abilities would approach to attract the zombies, using their speed and reflexes to avoid attacks while letting the elemental members handle the offense.
Even if they were hit by zombies, being one level higher, it wouldn’t be a significant problem as long as it wasn’t a headshot – that wouldn’t result in severe injuries.
After clearing the zombies, they began searching the units within the buildings.
Many doors were already damaged, conveniently allowing the team members to enter and search.
Items found close to the heavy truck were directly transported onto it.
Dozens of vehicles were about to enter the residential area at a fast pace. Jiang Feng, stationed at the entrance and noticing this from his corner, had his expression change. He quickly contacted the group through the walkie-talkie.
“Attention, a large group of vehicles has entered the residential area. Be cautious,” Jiang Feng warned.
Upon hearing this, Shu Yun said, “Everyone, gather first and assess the situation. Gathering supplies can wait.”
The heavy truck was quite conspicuous. As the convoy entered the residential area, they immediately noticed the heavy truck.

Yan Li, a step behind, was cornered, but the other three didn’t abandon her.
A dozen or so individuals got out of the vehicles, their eyes lighting up upon seeing the two attractive girls in the group.
After so many days, they hadn’t seen such pretty and clean girls.
A dirty-faced man grinned and said, “Hello there, ladies.”
Yan Li and the others forced a smile, trying to stall until the rest of the group arrived.
However, the man with the dirty face started getting physical and hands-on, displaying a level of audacity he normally wouldn’t possess, but now seemed to have no inhibitions.
Many men stared at the group with wolfish eyes.
Yan Li slapped away the dirty-faced man’s hand and sternly asked, “What are you doing?”
The dirty-faced man’s grin grew even more lecherous. “Doing what you like to do.”
As he spoke, his hand moved towards more inappropriate places.
Yan Li scolded, “Go home and do your thing, you jerk!”
The dirty-faced man’s expression changed, and he sneered, “Feisty, just how I like it. Feels exciting.”
Even though two male team members shielded the two women, Yan Li was still touched inappropriately by a wandering hand.
With her fiery temper, Yan Li immediately delivered a powerful kick to the groin of the man who had touched her.
Being a level two individual, Yan Li possessed formidable strength. The man, struck in a delicate area, bent over like a prawn, clutching his groin, his face contorted in agony.
The dirty-faced man grew furious, saying, “Dare to hit my buddy? I’ll disable these two men first, and then we’ll deal with these two women slowly.”
