Pregnant With The Male Lead’s Great Uncle’s Baby [Interstellar] Chapter 10

☆ Chapter 10

And just like that, the fake loli, Ling Shaoze, was carried all the way to Maplewood Town by his newly minted boyfriend of one hour—the top-ranked assassin, the legendary “Shadowless“—in his arms. A trip that should have taken half an hour only took ten minutes.

Ling Shaoze even had the nerve to complain that his human-shaped vehicle wasn’t comfortable enough. Once they reached the crowded main road outside the town, he started fussing and demanded to be let down, pinching the man’s shoulder and back several times with his little hands.

Unfortunately, the man didn’t seen to feel a thing and even reminded him, “Don’t hurt your hand pinching me.”

By the time they reached the town entrance, the little “girl” sitting on her boyfriend’s arm had already drawn quite a crowd of onlookers. Embarrassed and annoyed, Ling Shaoze leaned in and bit the man’s chin—not too hard, but not too soft either—where the golden half-face mask didn’t cover. “Put me down now! Or I’ll bite you harder!”

Feeling the soft, moist sensation on his chin, He Yi, who had originally planned to set down the “little girl” in his arms, paused: …

Suddenly he didn’t want to let go. What should he do if he wanted to get bitten a few more times?

However, seeing how close his adorable little firecracker was to exploding with shame and anger, He Yi reluctantly put him down.

But not without returning the gesture—he planted a kiss on the still-chubby cheek exposed beneath the little girl’s half-face mask.

Ling Shaoze, who had been sneakily kissed, clutched his face: …?!

What the hell?! This pervert! He clearly knows he’s a guy, yet he still kissed his cute loli avatar!

But then, looking at the drool mark he’d just left on Wuying’s chin, and considering they were now officially a couple in-game, a kiss on the cheek wasn’t that outrageous.

Frustrated, Ling Shaoze angrily shook off the man’s hand, which was still wrapped around him to prevent him from falling, and stormed off in large strides.

By now, many players had reached level ten, and the town streets were lively. Passersby couldn’t help but curiously glance at the high-level veteran “Wuying” and the equally cloaked and masked little loli walking beside him.

One girl tugged on her boyfriend’s arm and said, “Look at that! Other people’s boyfriends carry their little girlfriends all the way here. That’s too spoiled!”

Her boyfriend replied matter-of-factly, “We’re only 10 cm apart in height. I literally can’t carry you like that. Unless you make a cute little loli avatar like hers?”

The girl started pounding her boyfriend’s chest with her little fists. “What? You dare say another girl is cute? You’re dead! …Okay fine, that loli is pretty cute.”

Wuying shot the two of them an annoyed glare. His little cutie was adorable—what did that have to do with anyone else? Did they really need to say it out loud?!

He quickly caught up with Ling Shaoze, sticking close to his side and protectively watching over the feisty little loli, whose cuteness couldn’t be hidden even under a half-face mask.

Ignoring everyone’s stares, Ling Shaoze rushed into the Mage Guild hall as fast as he could and learned the second-tier skills for his mage class.

When he came out, he saw Wuying waiting for him at the entrance.

Ling Shaoze walked over and asked, “Is there an inn or hotel in town? I want to get a room.”

That way, he could conveniently switch back to his male avatar.

He Yi had already guessed what the little guy was planning, but when the cutie told him he wanted to get a room (with him)… his thoughts couldn’t help but briefly wander somewhere unspeakable.

But he quickly remembered: this was a proper , serious game. Unless two people were legally married in real life and registered as a couple in-game, players couldn’t take off their close-fitting intimate clothing in-game.

Given the little guy’s unpredictable nature, getting “married” or becoming in-game partners felt like something that would happen… well, never.

He Yi pressed down the faint stirrings of anticipation in his heart, took Ling Shaoze’s small hand, and said, “Mm, I’ll take you.”

Ten minutes later, in the most luxurious suite of the biggest inn in Maplewood Town, a flash of white light flickered—and Ling Shaoze finally reverted to his carefully tuned, elegant and handsome adult male priest avatar.

He walked toward the room’s door, planning to head out and learn the second-tier skills for the priest class at the Priest Guild. But just as he reached the door, he was blocked by Wuying.

Ling Shaoze looked confused. “What’s wrong?”

Instead of answering, the man pulled him into a tight hug and began slowly leaning in. Their lips were now just three centimeters apart.

In-game, while anything 18+ was strictly off-limits, as long as both parties were in a consensual relationship, hugs and kisses—anything above the neck—were allowed.

Just then, Ling Shaoze heard a system Sprite’s prompt by his ear:
“Your boyfriend Shadowless wants to kiss you. If you do not refuse within five seconds, consent will be assumed by default. This prompt only appears for the first kiss. Future kisses will be considered automatically approved, Players can change the settings under the game menu > Couple Settings.”

Ling Shaoze, who hadn’t had any spiked drinks this time, was fully clear-headed, with zero bodily urges. He honestly wasn’t the kind of person who could accept kissing a man he had just met today and only spent a few hours with.

But then again—he was the one who had made the first move. And since they’d only be dating for a week at most, if all he did was hold hands like some innocent angel, it definitely wouldn’t be enough to make that pervert Y in real life feel disgusted or give up on him.

So Ling Shaoze gave silent consent, shutting his eyes like he was walking bravely to his execution, and waited for the man’s kiss to land.

But in the end, Wuying only gave a soft kiss at the corner of his lips—just a fleeting touch before pulling away.

The man held him tightly, burying his face into his neck.
“Lingling, why do we have to break up after a week? Can we not? If there’s something you don’t like about me, I’ll change.”

Ling Shaoze hadn’t expected that this man, whose face gave off such a cold and distant vibe but had actually treated him gently and attentively all along, would be so sensitive—sensing, on the very first day of their relationship, that he would definitely be dumped a week later.

In the few hours they’d spent together, Ling Shaoze couldn’t say he liked Wuying that much… but he definitely didn’t dislike him.

Unfortunately, he had already made up his mind: he was going to be a heartless scumbag—all to make that Pervert Y hate him and give up.

Or perhaps… it was to avoid falling into a relationship where he might end up being the one abandoned.

Without realizing it, he was steering himself away from the same fate as the original host in the novel—just another cannon-fodder supporting male character in someone else’s love story.

After all, if you spend enough time with someone—even if there was no love at first—humans aren’t made of stone, how could there be no feelings at all?

In his past life, even when the family dog he’d raised for years went missing three years ago, he had cried in private many times and never gave up searching for it.

The original host had been strung along by He Yuteng for years. The guy didn’t like him but wouldn’t reject him outright either, occasionally throwing him bits of fake tenderness and half-hearted care.

Being tormented by unattainable love for so long, it was no wonder he’d ended up resorting to something that extreme.

In short—Being a lovestruck fool is a death sentence!

Ling Shaoze calmly said, “It’s not that there’s anything wrong with you. I just never intended to stay with anyone long-term. Don’t fall for me. It won’t end well.”

He Yi realized then—trying to move the little guy with warmth and sincerity wasn’t going to work.

But that was fine. The kid was still young and immature. If he wanted to play, He Yi had time to spare—he’d just stick around and play along.

Even though he had seven alternate accounts, each with a different face, he had no intention of faking seven personalities too.
He would show Ling Shaoze his truest self.

Because eventually, Ling Shaoze would realize—no matter how many boyfriends he “dated” in this game, every single one of them was just him, underneath.

And by then, after spending enough time together and getting to know him better, Ling Shaoze would come to understand that once He Yi set his sights on someone or something, he never gave up.

The moment he finally saw He Yi’s sincerity and unwavering determination, that whole immature “drifting through a sea of flowers without a single petal sticking” mentality of his might start to crumble.

So while Ling Shaoze expected that Wuying would be disappointed by his cold-hearted “I’m-a-scumbag” speech—maybe even scold him or dump him on the spot…

Wuying instead slammed him against the door and kissed him fiercely and thoroughly—tongue and all—like he wanted to devour him right then and there.

Breathless and weak-kneed from being kissed senseless, Ling Shaoze: “…?!”

Just great. He’d actually started to feel a little guilty and ashamed over that scumbag speech—and this guy, who knew full well they were breaking up in a week, was still kissing him like he was starving and Ling Shaoze was the buffet!

Damn it! He knew it! They’d only met today—there was no way Wuying could’ve developed real feelings for him in one day. The guy just wanted his body, that’s all!

Fine. They were both scumbags—neither of them had the right to judge the other!

After more than ten whole minutes of being pinned and aggressively kissed, Ling Shaoze finally protested:

“I need to go learn my priest skills! I need to level up! If you don’t let go of me right now, I’m breaking up with you on the spot!”

He Yi knew it was time to stop. After all, this was still a game. No matter how worked up his body got, he could only suppress it.

He held Ling Shaoze in his arms for a while longer, steadying his slightly ragged breathing.
“Okay, Lingling. Whatever you say.”

Ling Shaoze: …

Back there, he’d shouted “No!” and “Stop!” so many times, and this guy acted like he was deaf—and now he had the audacity to say he’d do whatever Lingling said?

This shamelessness… it really did rival that real-life pervert “Y.”

Even that overwhelming, carnivorous hunger in his eyes felt eerily familiar.

…Maybe all men act the same way when it comes to kissing?

Ling Shaoze didn’t dwell on the matter any longer. Taking advantage of Wuying stepping aside to make way, he practically fled the inn room.

He Yi followed behind with the smug satisfaction of a cat that had just stolen a fish, clearly in a great mood.

After Ling Shaoze finished learning the second-tier skills for the Priest class, he received a party invite from his buddy “Radiant Glory”—aka Pang Wenguang.

Along with it came a barrage of private messages:

“A’Ze! I’m back! I made it to Maplewood Town, learned the Warrior’s second-tier skills, and met up with two of my classmates. Hurry up and join us!”
“Real-time coordinates shared: xxxx, xxxx.”
“It’s been already afternoon—how are you still only at level 10?”
“No worries, just join the team. We’ll carry you through a level 15 normal dungeon!”

Ling Shaoze turned to Wuying, feeling slightly speechless.
“You don’t have to stick with me the whole time. If you’ve got things to do, go take care of them.”

Closed beta players couldn’t level up in the first seven days of open beta, but they could run level 30 dungeons to farm rare materials.

This guy had been glued to him all day—wasn’t he worried about falling behind on gear and losing his #1 Assassin rank?

Wuying replied, “Being with you is the most important thing. Whatever you do, take me with you.”

Ling Shaoze: ?!

He never expected the #1 Assassin—this cold, top-tier god—was actually… a complete love-brained fool?!

Confirming that this guy was really planning to stick to him like glue… what else could Ling Shaoze do? He could only let it happen. The man was technically his boyfriend now—he couldn’t just kick him out.

So Ling Shaoze accepted Pang Wenguang’s party invite.

Pang Wenguang’s two classmates were also students from Shuilan University, both in the Combat department, and entering sophomore year. Technically, Ling Shaoze, a rising junior, was their senior.

One was a Swordsman named “Most Handsome Under Heaven”—a cheerful, slightly narcissistic guy whose in-game avatar actually did look pretty good. The other was an Archer called “Dou A’Dou,” a loud, goofy extrovert.

The moment Ling Shaoze joined the party, the two guys exploded in excitement, loudly welcoming their hot senior to the team.

When Ling Shaoze asked if he could add a closed beta player friend, they readily agreed. After all, they still had one open slot and were going to randomly grab someone anyway—having a closed beta veteran on the team was definitely a bonus.

And then, the next second…

“Wuying has joined the party.”

Most Handsome Under Heaven: “Holy crap! The real #1 Assassin god?! Am I seeing things?!”

Dou A’Dou: “Big Handsome, you’re not seeing things—that’s actually him! Damn, senior, how do you know someone like that?!”

Pang Wenguang suddenly remembered the bold declarations his new buddy had once made… and a vague sense of foreboding crept over him.

Wuying calmly introduced himself:
“Hello everyone, I’m Lingling’s boyfriend.”

Pang Wenguang: …?!
Oh my god! He had just been thinking that A’Ze trying to seduce all seven top-ranked gods was pure delusion—wishful thinking at best.
Yet in just two or three hours of being away, the number one assassin had already become A’ze’s boyfriend. And by the looks of it, the guy seemed willing too!

Ling Shaoze calmly dropped the bomb:
“Mm, for the next week, he’s your brother-in-law.”

—The implication being: after a week… who knows?

Pang Wenguang bombarded him in private chat:
“A’Ze, what’s with this ‘one week’ thing? Is that guy just lusting after your beauty and only wants to mess around?! Why would you still agree to be with him?! Even if he’s the number one on the rankings, he can’t just toy with people! That’s seriously messed up!”
