Premarital Cohabitation
Premarital Cohabitation: Chapter 35

Chapter 35: Conclusion

97.

Sleeping with Zhang Yaoyang was just sleeping, but sleeping with Dr. Wei was like a full-body workout. I was well aware of this reality, yet I climbed onto Dr. Wei’s back without hesitation.

The corridor was chilly, and I instinctively clung to his waist as he carried me. He reached back and supported my thighs.

Doughnut hadn’t learned to use the bathroom yet, so its makeshift little nest was in the hallway. When Dr. Wei carried me past it, it let out a gentle whimper. Its round almond-shaped eyes blinked in the darkness, but it didn’t follow us.

Wei Nanlin placed me on the bed, closed the door, and a mischievous smile played on his lips. I bit down on the blanket, my smile even more mischievous than his.

The guest bedroom was rarely occupied, so there was no electric blanket, only an old air conditioner that hadn’t been in good working order for a while. I wondered how Dr. Wei had managed to make the bedding so warm.

“Come up here quickly.” I made room for him.

Dr. Wei’s movements when getting onto the bed revealed his impatience. He didn’t have the usual grace when lifting the covers, and he didn’t even bother with the fluffy slippers by the side of the bed.

Before I could find a comfortable sleeping position, his warm lips pressed against mine, his tongue invading my mouth, swirling and teasing, accompanied by heavy breathing in my ear.

Things were getting a bit out of control. Dr. Wei straddled me as soon as he got on the bed, and he started undressing me. The bed made ambiguous sounds, which were especially clear in the quiet of the late night.

This bed was one I had used when I was in elementary school. It had been unused for a long time because it was too old, and I never expected it to fail me at this crucial moment. It was almost as noisy as Zhang Yaoyang’s snoring.

Darn it. >皿<

When I realized that my parents’ room was right below us, and the sound insulation between floors didn’t seem great, I quickly interrupted him.

“Let’s just sleep, okay? This bed is too loud, and it’s quite old. It would be really embarrassing if it collapsed!”

Dr. Wei’s arms were on either side of my shoulders, and he leaned in close to my ear, whispering softly, “I’ll be gentle.”

“How can you be gentle with something like this?”

What I meant was that he normally had such a strong and forceful demeanor that there was no way he could be gentle. It was better to rest early. However, he seemed to have misunderstood my intentions, thinking I preferred it rough.

Certainly, well… I do like that too.

“There are limitations here. How about we change locations?” Dr. Wei held me by the back and helped me up from the bed.

Change locations?

I couldn’t help but think of the days before the New Year when Dr. Wei and I ruled the kitchen and living room, but downstairs were all adults. It didn’t seem quite appropriate.

I knew Dr. Wei was a person without shame or embarrassment, but I didn’t expect him to be this open.

At this moment, my clothes were halfway off, hanging shamefully from my arms. As I left the warmth of the bed, I felt a sudden chill. I struggled to put on my clothes and wrapped myself up, saying, “Where are we going in the middle of the night?”

Dr. Wei rubbed my arm, adjusted the air conditioning to the highest temperature, and patted the edge of the bed. “Just lie here.”

Sure thing, Dr. Wei. It’s only been a few days since we slept together, and you’ve already mastered new techniques.

Great, as long as we don’t go out.

He thoughtfully placed all four fluffy slippers together, and I knelt on top, adopting this rather embarrassing “OT2” posture on the bed.

After waiting for a while, there was rustling behind me, but there was no further action. I turned my head and saw Dr. Wei searching for something in his suitcase.

I was stunned, “Why did you bring those accessories? Didn’t airport security stop you?”

“No…” Dr. Wei looked at me with a helpless and regretful expression. “I was in a rush and forgot to bring lubricant and condoms.”

“Oh, this…” I lowered my raised buttocks.

“Or, I…” Dr. Wei lowered his head, looked at his own hands, and then at me. “Can I try harder?”

98.

Dr. Wei’s greatest hobby was studying human anatomy and finding sensitive spots. He was really good at it.

This new technique was truly a double delight.

Half an hour later.

“No, no, no, please stop… I can’t take it anymore.”

My face grew hotter, my body became weaker, but Dr. Wei’s movements never ceased. He pressed down on my back, pinning me to the edge of the bed. “My grandmother told me not to always cater to you. When it’s crucial, don’t be polite.”

Hey! (#`O′) Is this the right time for that kind of talk?

I don’t remember when I fell asleep, but I do recall Dr. Wei offering his arm as a pillow. There was a pleasant scent in his embrace.

When I woke up, it was already noon. I wasn’t used to the hard bed, and my back and waist ached. My whole body felt out of sorts.

After having lunch, we took a stroll on the observation deck and then went to the beach to sunbathe. However, it didn’t provide much relief, and I was feeling quite uncomfortable. Every muscle in my body seemed to be protesting.

Once we got back home, Dr. Wei asked me to lie face down on the bed.

I was startled, “Again?!”

It’s not that I didn’t like it, but there were too many people in the house, and my grandmother always loved to chat with me. What if she…

Dr. Wei smiled gently, “I’m going to give you a massage.”

“Oh,” I blushed and plopped down on the bed. “Go ahead.”

Having a boyfriend who is a medical student has its perks; he’s skilled, and it’s free. Over the past year, we’ve probably saved quite a bit on massage fees.

Dr. Wei gently pinched the back of my neck and leaned in close to my ear, whispering with a mischievous smile, “Of course, if you’re looking forward to something like last night, that’s also possible.”

(*/ω\*)

I knew it!

99.

Dr. Wei massaged me for over an hour (and it was a proper massage). I felt like all the tension in my muscles had melted away.

My mom sent a message asking us to come downstairs for dinner, and I hugged Dr. Wei, thanking him.

“Thank you for your hard work. I’ll give you a massage tonight.”

He smiled indulgently and patted my butt.

Winter days are short, and I only realized it was already dark when I stepped out of the room. However, the courtyard was particularly well-lit tonight. I leaned over the balcony and looked down; the trees, walls, and fences were adorned with warm yellow star-shaped lights.

Candles were placed on the ground, flickering and stretching all the way to the courtyard fence, and there was a black Mercedes parked outside.

I figured my dad had set this up to create a festive atmosphere because last night, I mentioned how beautiful the star-shaped lights on our neighbor Mrs. Li’s balcony were.

Dr. Wei also leaned on the balcony and remarked, “These lights look beautiful. Is it someone’s birthday in your family?”

“No!” I pulled him toward the staircase. “Let’s go downstairs and see.”

As I entered the living room, I realized that something big was about to happen tonight. The dining table was fully set, and there was not a trace of leftover food. Each dish was meticulously arranged.

This didn’t make sense.

Everyone was standing in different corners of the living room, smiling at us as if we were a newlywed couple.

No one was taking their seats.

What was even more strange was that my grandmother didn’t rush me to wash my hands for dinner.

Doughnut sat by my feet, and someone had tied a dark red bowtie around its neck. With its round almond eyes and licking its little paws, it looked rather gentlemanly.

It ran around, and the bowtie was slightly crooked. I crouched down to fix it.

“What’s all this for? Are there guests coming over?” I asked.

My mom smiled and said, “You’ll find out when you go outside.”

Our relatives in the hometown were either my aunts and uncles or my grandparents’ generation, so it wouldn’t be such a big affair. I glanced at Zhang Yaoyang, “Do you have a girlfriend?”

Zhang Yaoyang hesitated, “Um…”

“I can’t believe it’s really you!” I started to say something else, but someone covered my mouth and pulled me out.

I struggled to break free from Dr. Wei’s grip, “Zhang Yaoyang, how could you openly—”

My mouth was covered even tighter.

Dr. Wei was incredibly strong, and I felt like a sack as he dragged me outside the fence.

“What are you doing? My shoe fell off—”

“Chu Qi.”

Suddenly, a strange voice, a woman’s voice, came from behind. I turned around to see a middle-aged couple standing there. The man was robust and wore narrow-framed glasses, while the woman was slender with a ponytail hairstyle. Both of them were dressed in well-ironed British-style coats and stood close together, appearing like a married couple.

Their faces seemed familiar, and I felt like I had seen them somewhere before, but I couldn’t quite recall.

“Auntie, who are you?” I asked.

After remaining silent for a while, Dr. Wei, who had been quietly standing beside me, spoke up, “Your mother-in-law.”

I immediately let out a loud burp.

100.

I finally remembered where I had seen them before. They were in the photos in Dr. Wei’s study!

Those photos were from Dr. Wei’s high school days, but it seemed that his parents’ looks hadn’t changed at all. They still looked so young!

“But didn’t you say they couldn’t come?” I looked at Dr. Wei, wondering how I hadn’t noticed before that he was quite the actor.

Uncle and Aunt smiled at me, “It was Xiao Lin who asked us to come.”

As soon as I said that, I regretted it because it sounded like I didn’t want them to come, and I wished I could slap myself.

I wasn’t prepared at all.

I really needed to use the bathroom…

“Uncle and Auntie, welcome! Why didn’t you let us know in advance? We didn’t have a chance to prepare anything or welcome you properly. I apologize for the oversight.” I bowed and shook hands with them, being as polite as possible.

“What do you mean there’s no preparation? Aren’t you the best gift?” Dr. Wei’s mom said with a sweet smile.

So it runs in the family to be sweet-talking!

“Happy New Year, dear.” Dr. Wei’s dad smiled and took out a thick red envelope from his pocket. “In fact, you can start calling us Mom and Dad from now on.” His eyebrows were arched, giving him a friendly and slightly silly appearance when he smiled.

Before I could react, Dr. Wei’s mom nudged him with her elbow, “Don’t scare the child.”

“No, no, no…”

Just then, the trunk of the car behind me suddenly opened, and the first thing that emerged was a bunch of balloons. It was quite dark at the time, and I thought it was a person, so I was startled and bounced away. I ended up bumping into Dr. Wei’s arms.

The car was filled with blue and white baby’s breath flowers, and warm-colored star-shaped lights adorned a cluster of snow mountain roses.

I forgot my reaction at that moment, forgot how to manage my facial expression, and just felt a tingling sensation in my nose as I struggled to hold back tears.

Dr. Wei held my pinky finger and suddenly knelt down on one knee.

007 came running from a distance, and from 007’s neck, he took a small velvety box.

Dr. Wei tilted his head back, and the soft light shone on his face, incredibly gentle. Even though it was winter, I didn’t know where the fine sweat on his forehead came from. All around were pairs of expectant eyes, and my dad was holding a camera, almost about to bump it into the back of Dr. Wei’s head.

Just when the atmosphere reached its climax, Dr. Wei unexpectedly choked.

?

How could he forget his lines in such an important moment!

My hand, holding his fingers, was getting sweaty. I was getting nervous on his behalf.

“Xiaoqi.”

He finally spoke, and I was so excited that I was trembling. I couldn’t tell if it was my nervousness transferring to him or if he was already nervous, but his voice was trembling too.

Honestly, my mind went blank at that moment, and even my breathing wasn’t smooth. All I remember is that he ended with, “Now, my favorite number is seven, and I love everything related to you. Today, our closest family is here, and I swear to you and everyone else that my love for you in the future will not be less than it is now. Will you make me a part of your family?”

As he finished speaking, everyone’s gaze turned to me.

I won’t go into what happened next, but a man nearing his thirties crying uncontrollably is quite embarrassing.

Dr. Wei took out the ring, and I remembered something and urgently stopped him, “You have to promise me one thing first!”

Dr. Wei looked puzzled, “What?”

“No more going up to the mountains to meditate! I really like eating meat now! I’ll die if I can’t eat meat!”

Dr. Wei smiled and agreed, then pinched my middle finger. I didn’t think anything was wrong, but my mom shouted anxiously from the side, “That’s the ring finger! The ring finger!”

“Oh, oh, oh…” Dr. Wei trembled and switched to another finger, still smiling at me silly during the process.

We exchanged rings, and he gently kissed the back of my hand.

In such a beautiful and romantic atmosphere, we, the newlyweds, hadn’t even had a chance to embrace and kiss when my dad shouted, “Let’s eat! Let’s eat! I’m starving! In-laws, come on in! Make yourselves at home!”

My mom and the others rushed to welcome Dr. Wei’s parents, and everyone walked inside together.

Dr. Wei hugged me from behind, his lips lightly touching my earlobe. I turned to look at him, and all the stars in the sky were in his eyes.

Author’s Note:

I saw comments saying that after reading this, they want to fall in love. This is the greatest compliment for this story. I’m really happy that everyone likes the everyday life of Dr. Wei and Xiaoqi. When I was writing about them, I felt how sweet and warm they are.

I wish everyone could have sweet love in their lives. Oh, by the way, I recently discovered a very cute and heartwarming anime, “Gakuen Babysitters,” available on iQiyi. It’s an incredibly heartwarming and adorable series. I hope everyone stays happy. See you in the next story.
