Chapter 754: Peach Fragrance Everywhere

Gu Qingcheng looked at Fairy Caihong in her arms. She ultimately chose not to kill her. She took her to Fairy Zhuling’s underground chamber. There, she disguised Fairy Caihong as a puppet and fed her Heart Devouring Powder. Fairy Zhuling would be the puppet’s substitute for the time being.

As long as Jin Xiaoqin kept Fairy Fengya well-protected, Fairy Zhuling discovering Fairy Caihong wouldn’t cause any issues in the short term.

Once Gu Qingcheng had finished, she concealed her presence and returned…

Jin Xiaoqin pulled Ye Wenxin (Liuli) aside. She wondered how Ye Wenxin had made Gu Qingcheng appear beside her.

Liuli smiled. “I will let Master tell you herself.”

A confused Jin Xiaoqin followed Liuli to a hidden spot. Liuli transformed into the eight furballs. Ye Wenxin had also changed back.

“Your balls can do this now?” Jin Xiaoqin finally understood. She thought back to Ye Wenxin’s beautiful counterattack earlier and frowned.

“Wenxin, you’ve offended Long Qingyue and Liu Churan.” Jin Xiaoqin recalled Long Qingyue and Liu Churan’s reactions and the things she had learned. She became even more worried about how difficult the road ahead would be for Ye Wenxin. “Aren’t you worried their love would drive them to seek revenge even more fiercely?”

“Do you know?” Ye Wenxin appeared confident. “When people suffer emotional blows, they often experience transference. The target of Liu Churan’s transference could well be Yue’er. So, the demon sects might attack the dynasty during this time. I’ll have bought some time for the Azure Wings Sect to recover.”

She knew Liu Churan’s personality. Since Long Qingyue had caused her to fall into this situation, Liu Churan would intensely retaliate against Long Qingyue. Liu Churan also led one of the few forces on this continent capable of contending with Long Qingyue. The battle between their two factions was bound to drag on.

Long Qingyue and Liu Churan would be too busy to think about her then. Once the conflict ceased, Long Qingyue would have nearly forgotten about the matter and Liu Churan would have found a new love. Ye Wenxin wouldn’t need her current identity as a shield.

Within a few years, she could return to the Azure Wings Sect and live a leisurely life again.

“Do you really think those two big shots would let you go so easily?” Jin Xiaoqin gave her a complicated look. Ye Wenxin might be thinking too naively. It didn’t seem she had grasped the gravity of the situation.

“I don’t know about others.” Jin Xiaoqin offered another kind advice. “But if you had deceived me like that, I will find you, even if I have to dig you out from the ends of the world. Long Qingyue holds deep grudges. She’ll make you suffer. As for Liu Churan, her inner demon has already taken root. She’s probably going to follow the same path you did. She’ll turn into a cold-blooded, ruthless demoness. Her pursuit of you will be even more frenzied.”

Ye Wenxin might not have believed this analysis had it come from anyone else. But Jin Xiaoqin had lived for over two centuries. Ye Wenxin knew better than anyone how well she understood the world’s ways. She felt tightness in her chest. If Jin Xiaoqin was right, her rejection had changed nothing.

“You three need to sit down and talk things through,” Jin Xiaoqin added. “Drop your identities and all the other excess baggage.”

“No.” Ye Wenxin let out a deep sigh. “You don’t understand Yue’er. She’s always too perfect. She could never let down her mask. And Ran’er remains persistent despite the numerous rejections she’s faced. I think she will never give up until death.”

Long Qingyue and Liu Churan were now powerful figures she couldn’t afford to provoke. Fairy Fengya had lost her memories and couldn’t use her full strength. If she could persuade Fairy Fengya, she would have a strong ally to rely on. But Tribulation stage cultivators were becoming as common as cabbages. She had to seriously weigh her chances of winning a two-against-one fight.

“Forget it.” Ye Wenxin waved her hand. “I don’t have anything pressing to do anyway. I’ll find somewhere to do closed-door training for a few years.”

Her only conclusion was that she needed to become stronger to regain a sense of security.

“Go ahead.” Jin Xiaoqin nodded, also thinking that was the best course of action. “No matter how unreliable I may be as a master, I can still handle minor troubles.”

Her words had meant to reassure but deepened Ye Wenxin’s guilt instead.

Jin Xiaoqin had always been a responsible and diligent master. Unfortunately, Ye Wenxin was never the proper disciple type.

After some thought, she gave Jin Xiaoqin a wordless nod.

“It’s almost dawn.” Jin Xiaoqin caressed Ye Wenxin’s face, suppressing the reluctance in her heart. “You should leave.”

Ye Wenxin walked a few paces, then stopped. She couldn’t resist looking back at Jin Xiaoqin.

“Come back soon.” Jin Xiaoqin waved at her. “Or I’ll really go find a Dao partner and marry myself off.”

Ye Wenxin thought about the Peach Poison in Jin Xiaoqin’s body. The time she could spend by Jin Xiaoqin’s side would become more limited if she left now.

Could Jin Xiaoqin really die from Peach Poison? Ye Wenxin didn’t want that to happen. She focused, trying to draw the peach-colored cloud from Jin Xiaoqin’s luck back into herself.

As if sensing her intent, the peach-colored cloud immediately left Jin Xiaoqin and returned to her.

Jin Xiaoqin felt her body softening. Her luck was back to normal. She was oblivious to what had just happened.

Ye Wenxin nearly burst into tears. She had thought she might have caused Jin Xiaoqin’s death. She never expected the solution to be so simple.

Ye Wenxin finally wore a relaxed smile. She walked away with an unburdened stride.

“So heartless…” Jin Xiaoqin muttered. She only walked a few steps when a wave of dizziness suddenly hit her. Thankfully, she quickly gathered her focus and felt much better afterward.

Yet, the qi in her dantian had significantly diminished.

“Strange… “Jin Xiaoqin considered the change in her cultivation. She couldn’t hold back her shock. “I was just about to break through. Why did I suddenly fall so far behind again?”

She had no idea Ye Wenxin had absorbed the qi her peach blossom luck had enhanced.

Originally, Peach Poison had merely been something Wen Susu had made up to fool Ye Wenxin. In truth, it wasn’t poison but something called Peach Fragrance.

Peach Fragrance functioned more like a dual cultivation technique that assisted one’s cultivation. So, it would stimulate Jin Xiaoqin to accept intimacy only with Ye Wenxin.

However, Peach Fragrance would reject Jin Xiaoqin if she were to do it with anyone other than Ye Wenxin. She would end up like those little animals in the experiment.

Sadly, Ye Wenxin remained oblivious to the misunderstanding. She was already descending the mountain on Black, believing she could embark on a new journey.

So is Jin in danger if she sleeps with anyone else still? And if she continues with our Ye more fragrance will appear that she can either collect for her own cultivation or leave to help with theirs?
