Chapter 37 2/2
Leaning against a massive pillar, he nervously looked back. Seeing that the giants hadn’t caught up, he breathed a sigh of relief. Throughout the journey, the audience relied on sporadic clips to watch, but he had witnessed each of them firsthand.
Ou Zheng switched the camera, panting heavily, appearing in front of everyone.
“I feel… something seems off. I just saw a very large and tall turtle a moment ago. It almost scared me to death. What’s going on? Is it a prank by the production team? They are going all out, right?”
As a guest on a comedy variety show, it was inevitable that I would be pranked by the production team. Everyone would sign agreements, indicating their willingness to cooperate with the pranks during the shooting.
Ou Zheng had experienced pranks like “haunted house scares,” “accidentally damaging valuable items of the production team,” “getting lost in an unfamiliar environment,” “finding a snake in the room at midnight,” and so on. After being pranked so many times, he had become quite adept at handling them. Sometimes, even if he figured out it was a prank, he would still pretend to be scared to go along with it.
But at this moment, even though everything seemed magical, he couldn’t distinguish between reality and fiction.
“Thank goodness you’re all here with me. It’s so frightening.” Indeed, what kept Ou Zheng able to continue the livestream was the constantly refreshing barrage in the chat.
“It doesn’t seem fake.”
“I thought it was scripted, but Ou Zheng actually looks scared.”
“Those things look really realistic; is it really the production team’s setup?”
“Ou Zheng, go explore it.”
“Approach and observe.”
Ou Zheng wiped the sweat from his forehead, looked around sneakily, and then peeked behind the pillar: “I can’t approach; I dare not.”
“So scared.”
“Spread the word; Ou Zheng is scared.”
“To those calling him scared, if these things are real, if Ou Zheng didn’t run fast just now, when that hammer came down, he would have lost his life.”
“I still think it’s scripted.”
“I also think it’s scripted, but can they really make it so realistic?”
While the livestream was still being discussed, someone had already posted recordings on various platforms, quickly attracting the attention of a large number of netizens.
More and more people flooded into the livestream. While Ou Zheng was happy about the increasing viewership, his concern had not subsided. He looked around anxiously while taking out his phone.
“No, I have to call the production team to confirm. It’s too realistic; it doesn’t seem like something the production team could afford. Let me call my sister… Oh no, no signal.”
Just as Ou Zheng finished speaking, his face suddenly turned pale.
“No signal? How am I even livestreaming to you guys without a signal?”
As soon as these words came out, all the viewers felt a chill down their spines.
A barrage appeared on the screen.
“Is there a possibility that you’re no longer on Blue Star?”
Ou Zheng was stunned.
His initial reaction was disbelief.
“I’m still livestreaming to you guys right now. How could I not be on Blue Star? Don’t scare people; you all saw me enter. We just need to go back the way we came.”
As Ou Zheng turned around to look in the direction of the maze, his pupils suddenly contracted.
“The entrance… where is it? It was here just now!”
While he desperately searched for the entrance, the barrage exploded.
“Ou Zheng! Behind you!”
“Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!”
“Host, look behind you!”
“Ah, ah, ah, ah, it’s moving, really moving!”
“Host, host, quickly look at the pillar behind you!”
“What’s this? A snake’s tail?”
Ou Zheng was still squinting, looking in the direction of the maze.
“Weird, I just ran from there, didn’t I? Did I remember wrong? Did any of you…”
He felt a cold and slippery sensation behind him, but the rest of his words were abruptly cut off.
Ou Zheng lifted his head and saw an incredibly huge dragon slowly moving around the pillar. Perhaps sensing his gaze, the dragon’s icy pupils locked onto him, and they made eye contact.
Ou Zheng: “Ah ah ah ah ah!”
The livestream audience saw the dragon along with his reaction: “Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah!”
Ou Zheng, a robust individual with strong physical and mental qualities chosen by the production team, had already started running while the audience was still in shock.
As he ran, he suddenly froze in place.
The audience, frozen like him, watched.
The place where Ou Zheng stood turned out to be a high place, with vast palaces below. Even though it was slightly blurry, the majestic and ethereal atmosphere was evident. A giant, about seven to eight meters tall, walked gracefully, wearing armor.
The enormous phoenix, glimpsed briefly earlier, flew slowly past Ou Zheng, landing on the giant’s shoulder.
Numerous structures resembling winged boats were docked in midair.
On the enormous platform below, people dressed in ancient costumes were practicing swordsmanship in a disciplined manner.
The scene was too breathtaking.
Even through the livestream footage, even with pixelation, this scene was enough to awe everyone.
Those viewers who were still analyzing whether it was a production team setup were stunned.
The newcomers, reluctantly brought by friends to watch the livestream, were stunned.
Those shouting that this was definitely a time-travel event were stunned.
Until a voice came from behind Ou Zheng:
“Hey! Which department are you from? Don’t you know recording isn’t allowed here?”
Ou Zheng probably subconsciously turned around, and the livestream camera followed. However, before the person speaking could reveal their face, only a glimpse of modern attire and the side profile were captured before the livestream was cut off.
The viewers who had just regained their composure: “???”
It’s cut off?
Why was it cut off?
Is it time travel? Or is it really a sect of cultivators? Or perhaps a special forces team? National Special Department?
