Chapter 41: The Exam Is Over~
After coming out of the teacher’s office, Jiang Mingyue finally asked him: “Did you rank last in the previous exam?”
Qi Ze honestly admitted: “Mm-hmm.”
“But you’re really good at studying, how could you have ranked last?”
Qi Ze lowered his eyes and casually replied: “Because… I don’t like exams, so I didn’t answer the questions seriously.”
Jiang Mingyue had a feeling that this wasn’t the real reason, but since Qi Ze didn’t want to talk about it, she didn’t press further.
She said: “Actually, I don’t like exams either. I always get nervous before every exam. But the strange thing is, once the exam starts, I’m not nervous anymore.”
Qi Ze asked: “Are you nervous now?”
“Not right now, hehe.”
Back in the classroom, the students had already packed up their things.
Their backpacks were placed on their desks, just waiting for the bell to ring so they could rush out of the classroom.
The atmosphere of summer vacation had already arrived.
Jiang Mingyue had just sat down when Chen Xiangyi turned around, rolled up a test paper, and shoved it toward her mouth. She asked with curiosity,
“Come on, what did you two do after skipping class?”
“Nothing much, just went to eat watermelon.”
Chen Xiangyi didn’t believe her. She squinted her eyes and pressed on: “Nothing much? You’re smilling so happily, tell the truth.”
“Did I smile?” Jiang Mingyue raised her hand to cover her mouth, trying to hide it.
“With your mouth almost reaching your ears, you’re not smiling? You’re not together with Qi Ze, are you?”
When she said the last sentence, Chen Xiangyi suddenly leaned in close and whispered.
Liu Wenqi also leaned in: “Are you really together?”
Jiang Mingyue didn’t bother to hide it anymore. She leaned on the desk, her head close to theirs, and quietly said, “Sort of, we agreed to officially date after graduating from high school.”
“What’s going on? Why wait until graduation to be together? Are you worried it will affect your studies?”
Chen Xiangyi asked three questions in a row.
Jiang Mingyue didn’t know how to answer at first, so she simply told them the whole story about how they had gone from chatting to being together that afternoon.
“Anyway, that’s how things went. Is it a bit strange how it progressed?”
Chen Xiangyi replied, “It’s not strange at all. In fact, I think it makes perfect sense. You’ve been chasing Qi Ze for so long, and now Qi Ze sees you in a different light. It was only a matter of time before you two got together.”
Liu Wenqi nodded in agreement.
Jiang Mingyue asked: “So, you both could tell that I was chasing Qi Ze?”
Chen Xiangyi nodded: “It was obvious. It was pretty clear.”
He Jiaqi, who had been listening from behind, stretched his neck and said with a sigh: “Anyone could tell. I said it a long time ago. You should see the way he looks at you. It’s not innocent.”
Jiang Mingyue was startled by his words and became angry. She quickly turned around and grabbed a book, throwing it at him. “Are you crazy? Eavesdropping on other people’s conversations.”
He Jiaqi caught the book and spun it on his finger like a basketball. With a mischievous grin, he said, “Don’t accuse me. It’s your voices that were so loud, I couldn’t help but hear.”
Jiang Mingyue didn’t believe his excuse and threw another book at him, knocking the one on his finger to the ground.
The bell for the end of school rang, and everyone cheered as they rushed out of the classroom.
Chen Xiangyi put her backpack on and asked: “Since the exams are over, how about we go eat and sing together to relax? It’s my birthday, I’ll treat.”
Jiang Mingyue responded: “It’s your birthday! Of course, I’ll go.”
Liu Wenqi added: “Yeah, yeah, I’ll go too.”
“Then it’s settled.” Chen Xiangyi said, winking at Jiang Mingyue. “You can bring your family along too.”
Jiang Mingyue smiled and mischievously glanced at Qi Ze: “Well… I’ll ask Qi Ze.”
Chen Xiangyi laughed: “Alright, I’ll go ahead then.”
“Mm-hmm, see you!”
The two days of exams quickly came to an end, and the moment Jiang Mingyue walked out of the exam room, she felt completely relieved.
Chen Xiangyi and Liu Wenqi were walking over while comparing their answers.
Jiang Mingyue immediately covered her ears, saying: “Don’t ask me how I did, and don’t compare answers with me. I don’t want to hear anything about the exam right now.”
Chen Xiangyi laughed: “Don’t worry, I won’t ask.”
Jiang Mingyue had just put her hands down when Qi Ze walked over and casually asked: “How did you do on the exam?”
“……” Jiang Mingyue glared at him with a look of complaint.
Chen Xiangyi burst out laughing: “Hahahahahaha.”
“What’s wrong, why are you glaring at me?” Qi Ze was confused.
Jiang Mingyue helplessly said: “Nothing. Just don’t ask me anything about the exam from now on. It ruins my good mood.”
Qi Ze laughed: “Alright, I got it.”
Just as Jiang Mingyue straightened up, He Jiaqi rushed over energetically: “Hey, was the last big question 2g? I remember the teacher talking about that one.”
Jiang Mingyue slumped her shoulders and rolled her eyes at him: “……”
“Pfft, Hahahahahaha.” Chen Xiangyi laughed even louder: “Why is this so dramatic?”
Liu Wenqi couldn’t help but laugh as well.
Qi Ze glanced at Jiang Mingyue’s expression of complete exhaustion, and he wanted to laugh too, but held it back.
He Jiaqi asked: “What’s wrong? Is the answer wrong? Wait, Jiang Mingyue, what’s with that expression?”
He was a bit confused.
Jiang Mingyue hung her head and hummed: “Doesn’t matter~ I’m just a little bit tired.”
He Jiaqi was still fixated on the answer: “So was it 2g or not?”
“Does it really matter? It’s over, and you can’t change it.” Jiang Mingyue replied.
He Jiaqi pressed on: “Why are you so talkative today? So, was it or not?”
Jiang Mingyue smiled mischievously: “I’m not telling you.”
He Jiaqi said: “I won’t ask you. You’re probably the second to last, and even if you did get it right, it’s probably wrong. Chen Xiangyi, was your answer 2g?”
“I’m not telling you either, nope, nope, nope~.” Chen Xiangyi replied, shaking her head proudly.
In the end, He Jiaqi didn’t get an answer and angrily walked away.
However, Jiang Mingyue’s mood had been affected. She pouted and said with a sigh: “My answer wasn’t 2g, wuwuwu…”
Qi Ze tugged at her slightly loose bun and laughed: “It’s okay, my final answer wasn’t 2g either.”
“Really?”
Jiang Mingyue’s eyes brightened.
Qi Ze nodded: “Really.”
Chen Xiangyi and Liu Wenqi also chimed in: “Mine wasn’t either.”
Jiang Mingyue perked up: “Alright, as long as it wasn’t 2g, no need to talk about the rest. Let’s leave this dangerous place now. There are too many people, and who knows, someone else might come over to compare answers again.”
Jiang Mingyue quickly pulled Qi Ze and the others away from the school.

After a lively dinner in the evening, they went to the KTV to sing.
They played a game where the loser had to drink, and Jiang Mingyue lost in the first round.
Chen Xiangyi asked: “Xiao Mingyue, how’s your alcohol tolerance? If you can’t handle it, I can ask someone to help you~”
As she spoke, she glanced over at Qi Ze.
Jiang Mingyue blocked Qi Ze’s hand and picked up her cup, saying without any modesty: “I’m not hiding anything from you, I’ve never gotten drunk.”
Jiang Mingyue really had never gotten drunk.
There was once when she even bought a lot of alcohol and drank it alone at home just to experience the feeling of being drunk.
She drank a mix of white liquor and beer and didn’t get drunk, though she did end up running to the bathroom several times.
Chen Xiangyi picked up her own cup and said: “Isn’t it because you’ve never drunk enough to get drunk? I’ve never gotten drunk either, come on, I’ll drink with you. Let’s see who gets drunk first.”
“Alright, cheers!”
“Cheers!”
