Chapter 43: What to Do When the Dog Gets Mad?

Normally, when I come downstairs in the morning, Xixi can’t wait to jump on me, but today, it seems so disgusted with me?

Jiang Mingyue couldn’t believe it. “Xixi, don’t you love mommy anymore?”

She stretched out one hand, but Xixi didn’t, as usual, place its paws on her. Instead, it was so scared that it took three steps back.

Aunt Du: “Don’t you remember? Last night, you got drunk and threw up all over it.”

Jiang Mingyue was completely confused. She had no memory of this event. Didn’t she fall asleep not long after coming back?

Seeing her blank expression and her complete lack of recollection, Aunt Du decided to explain the events of last night in detail.

“After I made you the hangover soup last night, I saw that you had fallen asleep, so I took Xiao Qi out. When I came back and was about to help you to your bedroom, you woke up in a daze and said you felt like throwing up, so I helped you to the bathroom. 

Then, Xixi followed you in. It saw you hunched over the toilet, and it stuck its head over to play, squeezing next to you. That really scared Xixi, and it panicked, jumping up and running around the bathroom with your vomit all over it, making a huge mess.”

She had no memory of this at all and had thought that once she fell asleep, she had slept straight through until morning.

Xixi: “Woof woof woof~” (I dislike you~)

Aunt Du, watching from the side, laughed. “Xixi still has some feelings left. By the way, did you eat the food I left for you this morning?”

“Not yet, I didn’t have much of an appetite.”

Aunt Du asked: “Then should I make something light for lunch? Anything you’re in the mood for?”

Jiang Mingyue continued to cuddle Xixi on the sofa, determined to make up for the lost affection from last night.

Jiang Mingyue wrapped her legs around Xixi to stop it from running away and freed up one hand to type.
