In the end, Sui Li’er bought several cartoon-themed items. Blushing with embarrassment, she remained silent all the way, feeling depressed.
Chen Ling didn’t say anything either. Instead, he was thinking about when to call his mother. Based on his observations over the years, his mother usually woke up at 7:00 a.m. every morning. His father woke up at 6:30 a.m. to cook. Except for when they went to the bathroom, these two were always clinging to each other at all other times.
So Chen Ling decided to find his mother tomorrow morning between 6:30 and 7:00.
What puzzled him was that Sui Li’er, who was beside him, remained silent for over 30 minutes! Was her memory still not refreshed? It seemed that the impact on her was really significant.
So Chen Ling decided to help her: “Sui Li’er.”
“Hmm? What’s wrong?” Sui Li’er’s emotions were written all over her face, clearly showing that she was not happy.
Chen Ling smiled and said, “Still feeling upset? Forget about the size, the size saves on fabric.”
Sui Li’er: ???
Fuming with anger!
“You! Chen Ling! I, I, I won’t talk to you anymore! Hmph!” After saying that, she directly let go of Chen Ling’s hand.
〚 Ding~ The target is very angry! Points +0, good luck to you~ 〛
〚 Good luck to you~ 〛
Ten minutes later:
“Chen Ling, look! That’s the Celestial Academy of magic up ahead. It looks so big up close!”
Chen Ling glanced at the smile on her face and couldn’t help but feel delighted: Sui Li’er’s memory refresh skill still works!
As long as he became the target of her anger, it seemed to only last for ten minutes. Quite amusing…
“Shall we go take a look?” Chen Ling glanced at the academy.
Up close, the magnificent architecture of the Aries Celestial Academy exuded a strong sense of grandeur.
On top of the main castle, the two huge goat horns faintly emitted powerful energy. They were made of a special material that contained formidable magic, used for activating defense instantly in emergency situations. The academy was completely open, without any surrounding walls, directly nestled within the city.
Anyone could enter and visit, but no one dared to cause trouble. Otherwise, there might be no need for the mentors inside, as the experts would intervene. The students in the academy were capable of dealing with troublemakers.
The Aries Celestial Academy didn’t solely belong to the Aries Constellation.
The principal wasn’t the leader of the Aries Constellation, and not all the people inside were from the Aries zodiac sign. Just like this city, although it was the main city of Aries, it was inhabited by people from various constellations.
This academy, rather than being called an academy, was more like an ancient town within the city. Behind the main castle was the true appearance of the academy, resembling a small town. Unique buildings stood one after another, each with its own special significance.
There was an ancient aura resembling goat skin scrolls, giving a sense of profound heritage at first glance. After all, this academy had existed for at least a thousand years in this world. Although the architecture appeared somewhat ancient, the teaching facilities and equipment inside were all state-of-the-art.
Hand in hand, Chen Ling and Sui Li’er strolled inside the academy.
At this moment, there were many students, mentors, and visitors who had come here attracted by its reputation, making it lively. Although the academy was large, they would eventually finish exploring. Soon, the two walked from the south side of the academy to the north side.
Then they circled back.
“Hey, have you heard? Today, Mentor Yan Ran was defeated by a young boy!”
“What? That’s impossible! Mentor Yan Ran is a high-level grand mage, just a step away from being a curse master.”
“It’s true. The news has spread throughout the city.”
“I heard that guy, Xiaodai Bi, from their class was with her, but both of them didn’t seem to be injured. They must have won.”
“Huh~”
Sui Li’er tightened her grip on Chen Ling’s hand, feeling a bit scared after hearing that.
“What’s wrong?”Chen Ling asked in a low voice.
Sui Li’er whispered in his ear: “It seems like we’re becoming famous. What should we do?”
Chen Ling chuckled softly: “What’s wrong with becoming famous? That way, more people will get to know you.”
“But… we’re becoming famous for fighting! That doesn’t seem good.”
Chen Ling teased her with a slightly intimidating tone: “Well, then you better cover your face. Look, everyone is looking at you.”
“Huh?” Sui Li’er glanced around, and indeed! People occasionally cast glances in her direction.
She quickly covered her little face with her hand. “Let’s escape quickly, Chen Ling!”
“BOOM!” A sound rang out.
A powerful energy suddenly exploded.
The ground trembled, and Sui Li’er screamed in fright, losing her balance and falling into Chen Ling’s embrace.
Chen Ling gently supported her and asked, “Are you okay?”
“Whew~ Yeah! I’m fine! What happened? I thought you caused another explosion…”
Chen Ling smiled and looked to the left: “There’s a fight happening over there. It’s the students from this academy.”
Using the system, Chen Ling investigated a bit and found that not far to the left, there was a magical arena specifically designed for combat.
Sui Li’er exclaimed in surprise, “Wow, can students be so powerful?”
“Do you want to go and see?”
“But… won’t we be recognized?”
“Why worry? Even if we’re recognized, what’s the big deal? We’ll just take care of anyone who tries to cause trouble.”
Sui Li’er hesitated: “I’m just afraid you’ll end up randomly hitting someone!”
“Let’s go.” With that, Chen Ling hugged her and instantly teleported, arriving in mid-air above the arena. From a height of one hundred meters, they stood above a massive circular open-air arena.
There weren’t many people inside at the moment, probably around 30 or so. It seemed like a class of students was undergoing internal training. Chen Ling immediately spotted Yan Ran standing by the sidelines, precisely leading her own class in training.
However, Sui Li’er wasn’t in the mood to look down. She felt like a deer bumping around in her heart being in Chen Ling’s embrace. Since they were standing in mid-air, she couldn’t stand on her own and had to be held by him.
Chen Ling glanced down when he noticed she wasn’t saying anything and calmly said: 〚 Levitation Spell. 〛
〚 Levitation Spell: A basic levitation magic that is proportional to the individual’s cultivation level. 〛
Since it was a low-level spell, its upper limit was quite low. But there shouldn’t be any problem with Sui Li’er floating.
After finishing his words, several golden runes flashed, and Sui Li’er felt her body becoming lighter. The next moment, Chen Ling suddenly let go of her.
“Ah! Don’t!” Instinctively, she held onto him tightly.
“You can levitate now.”
“Oh~” Then Sui Li’er gently released her hold on Chen Ling and realized that she was indeed floating in mid-air.
“Wow! It’s amazing.”
However, after the novelty wore off, she glanced at Chen Ling’s embrace. Inner thoughts: Floating like this is not as good as not floating at all~
“BOOM!”
Another explosion sounded from below, and Sui Li’er quickly looked down.
Two girls with decent appearances were currently battling. One was an Aquarius, and the other was an Aries. Classic defense against classic attack.
Although the two girls appeared delicate, they were not to be underestimated in combat. The Aquarius girl, who was clearly skilled in defense, used her magic to swiftly approach the Aries girl. She threw a powerful punch while simultaneously releasing an attack spell associated with Aquarius, seamlessly combining her actions.
The Aries girl, however, showed no fear and directly countered with her own magic.
“BOOM!”
An explosion sounded, and a wave of heat swept towards Sui Li’er and Chen Ling in the sky. It was the aftermath of the Aries girl’s spell.
“Wow! So cool!” Sui Li’er watched the two girls in the arena, constantly changing their forms. They appeared so small and fragile, yet they fought so impressively!
Chen Ling casually remarked, “They are both just high-level Intermediate mages. At 17 years old, their talent is decent, but if we talk about talent, Yan Ran from before is even more extraordinary.”
Being a high-level Intermediate mage at the age of 17 was already a terrifying talent. As for Yan Ran, she was a genius among geniuses.
Being a 24-year-old high-level Grand Mage, she had reached the talent ceiling in this world. However, Chen Ling didn’t understand why such a genius would be here, working as a seemingly hopeless teacher.
“Oh~ Is she really amazing?” Sui Li’er looked at Chen Ling.
Chen Ling, who was currently observing the battle between the two girls, casually replied, “Quite impressive.”
“Oh~” Sui Li’er pursed her lips and looked down again, but this time, she wasn’t watching the two girls fighting.
Instead, her gaze was fixed on Yan Ran.
Inner thoughts: She’s so tall… ew!
She’s so amazing! Even Lord God praised her!
