Chapter 109: Gu Chuan, I Like You So Much
Jiang Mi’s eyes gradually darkened as she watched the twisted and malicious smile on Bai Ruoruo’s face.
Knowing full well that Bai Ruoruo was plotting something against her, Jiang Mi had no intention of waiting passively for the attack. She was never one to sit and wait; she was far more skilled at taking the initiative.
Her once enchanting eyes turned cold in an instant.
With fingers as slender as jade, she swiftly and decisively made her move.
Grabbing the brim of Bai Ruoruo’s hat, she forcefully pushed it down.
The immense impact and the resulting pain made Bai Ruoruo cry out, nearly falling off Qin Ling’s back.
But she couldn’t fall now; she still needed to push Jiang Mi into a situation from which she could never recover, to make her a despised outcast.
Bai Ruoruo’s face twisted with jealousy and madness as she stared at Jiang Mi’s chest, suddenly reaching out to attack.
If she succeeded…
Jiang Mi would never be able to show her face in public again…
Even though she was the instigator, as long as she played the victim and claimed it was an accident during the competition, who could blame her?
This move would ensure her victory!
As Bai Ruoruo’s fingertips nearly touched Jiang Mi’s shoulder strap, she grew even more excited, as if she were about to release all her pent-up frustration.
She gritted her teeth and hissed, “Jiang Mi, you should have died long ago.”
In the next moment, an overwhelming and terrifying pressure descended on her like a mountain.
Suddenly, the fear of death gripped her entire being, making her shiver and go cold.
Bai Ruoruo instinctively looked up at Gu Chuan, only to meet his dark and violent gaze, as cold as if he were staring at a corpse.
Then, in the next second, a heavy force kicked into her leg, causing a pain so intense it felt like her bones were shattering.
At the same time, Jiang Mi yanked hard on the brim of Bai Ruoruo’s hat and delivered a sharp karate chop to her wrist.
Attacked from both sides.
Bai Ruoruo’s anguished scream echoed across the sea as her body fell heavily into the water.
But even the salty seawater couldn’t clear Bai Ruoruo’s head; it only made her angrier.
Damn it, she was so close to ripping off Jiang Mi’s swimsuit and making her a laughingstock, completely ruined!
Consumed with hatred, Bai Ruoruo tried to stand and continue her attack, but the pain in her knee forced her back into the water, her face contorted with agony.
She furiously looked up, ready to retaliate, only to be met with Gu Chuan’s cold, dark eyes, full of icy malice and overwhelming pressure.
Panic gripped Bai Ruoruo as she feared Gu Chuan had discovered her true intentions. She trembled, shrinking back in fear.
At this moment, Gu Chuan looked down at her with a cold expression, “What were you trying to do to Mimi?”
Bai Ruoruo stammered, “I-I was just trying to take her hat! It’s a competition, right? Why is it okay for Jiang Mi to make a move on me, but I can’t do the same to her?”
Her voice was sweet and weak, making some people feel sympathetic.
After all, this was a competition—wasn’t it normal for things to get a bit rough?
A bloodthirsty glint flashed in Gu Chuan’s cold eyes. “But your hand was reaching for Mimi’s clothes. Bai Ruoruo, you’re asking for death.”
The male contestants were wearing beach shorts, and the female contestants were dressed in light swimsuits. If Bai Ruoruo had pulled at Jiang Mi’s clothes, it would have been…
And this was still a live broadcast—if something had accidentally been exposed…
Bai Ruoruo’s face paled as she tried to defend herself.
“I didn’t mean to! I was just trying to grab her hat! But in the heat of the competition, I didn’t know where my hand was going.”
“Brother Gu Chuan, you can’t accuse me without evidence. I’m really hurt by this.”
As long as she denied everything, Gu Chuan had no proof and couldn’t do anything to her.
Though Bai Ruoruo was feeling guilty, she was also emboldened.
She even had a slightly smug expression when she looked up again.
A bloodthirsty curve formed on Gu Chuan’s sharp, cold lips. Did he need evidence to judge someone?
No, he never needed it.
If he wanted Bai Ruoruo dead, she would be dead.
The murderous intent around him grew so intense it was almost tangible.
But then, Jiang Mi’s voice whispered in his ear, “Gu Chuan, I’m fine.”
Gu Chuan turned his head, his profile as cold as ice, utterly chilling.
He didn’t speak, but his cold, heavy gaze seemed to say everything. If Bai Ruoruo dared to hurt you, then she deserves to die.
No questions asked.
It wasn’t about right or wrong.
It was extreme and overbearing favoritism.
Jiang Mi’s heart softened and warmed under his intense gaze.
But she couldn’t let Gu Chuan do anything too extreme in front of the live cameras. Bai Ruoruo wasn’t worth it.
Besides, she already had a plan.
She wrapped her arms around Gu Chuan’s neck, nuzzling gently against him, and whispered something in his ear.
Gu Chuan’s icy expression softened slightly, and after a moment, he finally said in a low voice, “I’ll do as you say.”
Hearing these three words, Jiang Mi’s brows relaxed, and a bright smile spread across her face.
She still remembered the thrill she felt when she first met Gu Chuan—his cold, wild, and untamed aura.
But now, Gu Chuan would put down his bloodthirsty blade at her mere word. As she looked at his handsome, sharp features, Jiang Mi suddenly wanted to lean in and kiss him.
Noticing the cameras around them from the corner of her eye, Jiang Mi leaned closer to Gu Chuan’s ear.
This time, she was even closer.
Because she wasn’t going to whisper.
She was going to say what was in her heart.
“Gu Chuan, I like you so much.”
