The Toughest Rough Man was Teased by his Wife (70s) Chapter 6

Chapter 6

She did not know how Gu Juncheng would feel or if he would believe the rumors.

However, the heated voices outside suddenly died down, and after those few words, everything fell silent.

What had Gu Juncheng done? Curiously, Zhiyuan tiptoed over and opened the door to “gather enemy intelligence.” only to find that there was not a single person outside.

Zhiyuan immediately dashed out.

“Zhiyuan!” Lin Qingping called out in a hurry and followed suit.

From a distance, she saw a large group of people walking in a grand procession. Gu Juncheng led the way, with a group of women called by Da Pang’s family trailing behind, and Zhiyuan, the little tail, was at the very end.

Lin Qingping quickly caught up and pulled Zhiyuan by the hand. The group had completely forgotten about Zhiyuan, only chasing after Gu Juncheng and asking: “Chengzi! What are you planning to do? You’re causing trouble for your family and now want to drive others out, is that it?”

“Chengzi, if you touch any of our people today, I swear I’ll sue you wherever I go!” Da Pang’s wife knew that Gu Juncheng did not hit women, but she feared that he might go after Da Pang’s father in a fight to the death.

She led the group, shouting non-stop, until they passed by Da Pang’s house and finally stopped.

Gu Juncheng was heading straight for the troublemaker Goudan.

He found him on the ridge, half-drunk from two taels of liquor, sprawled out snoring on his back. Gu Juncheng grabbed him by the arm and punched him in the stomach, waking him up immediately.

Lin Qingping had seen Gu Juncheng’s fists in her previous life, and they were truly like iron hammers. She had witnessed with her own eyes how one punch from him had created a hole in the door…

After Goudan took the punch, he cried out for his parents, immediately spewing a string of curses.

However, he was met with another heavy punch to the cheek, and with a scream of pain, a mouthful of blood spurted out, accompanied by a tooth.

This truly shocked the onlookers around them. Fights in the village were common, but they usually involved women pulling hair or scratching faces, and at most, a bite here and there. No one had ever seen a punch that could knock someone’s tooth out…

It was only then that Goudan realized it was Gu Juncheng who had hit him. He immediately pointed at Gu Juncheng and cursed: “You, Gu! Don’t think just because you’re strong, you can hit people! I’ll sue you!”

A crisp, explosive child’s voice rang out: “Pah! Go ahead and sue! If you don’t, you’re a coward! You’re destroying a military marriage! You’ll end up in prison!”

Lin Qingping, looking at the little Zhiyuan still hopping in her grip, was speechless.

This kid was only a few years old, how did he know about all this? B

ut surprisingly, it worked. Goudan was scared, and just as Gu Juncheng threw another punch, Goudan started howling in fear, crying: “I didn’t! I didn’t sleep with your wife! I was just boasting!”

“The handkerchief is mine, I picked it up from the ground!”

“There’s no mole on her chest, I was just making things up! Stop hitting me, I was lying—”

With every shout, Gu Juncheng’s fists and feet landed harder, and with Zhiyuan shouting “Beat him! Beat him to death!” from the side, Lin Qingping genuinely feared that Goudan might be beaten to death at this rate.

Goudan was already unable to speak, his body like a broken ragdoll, tossed around by Gu Juncheng’s kicks.

Her, Mother-in-law, Liu Fen, also worried about things going too far, stepped forward and firmly grabbed Gu Juncheng, stopping him from hitting any further. She spat at the bloodied Goudan and scolded: “That’ll teach you to not talk nonsense! Spreading rumors will land you in prison too!”

Goudan had already lost consciousness. Gu Juncheng’s gaze, cold as a sword, abruptly shifted from Goudan to the group of women who had come to cause trouble. He glared at them with an expression like a demon ready to kill.

The women instinctively began to retreat, with some of them even shuddering involuntarily.

Gu Juncheng’s face was as dark as that of a god of death, his killing intent rising to the heavens. He uttered one sentence: “Anyone who dares to speak nonsense again, this will be their fate! I, Gu Juncheng’s fists, don’t differentiate between men and women!”

After this scene, dusk was approaching.

As the evening light settled, Gu Juncheng stood there like an iron tower, his gaze sweeping over anyone in his line of sight, making everyone involuntarily shiver.

The villagers who had gathered began whispering among themselves: “What’s going on? Is Chengzi going to manage women’s affairs too?”

“Yeah, he’s even hitting women! Doesn’t Chengzi care about his reputation anymore?”

Gu Juncheng ignored their gossip, finishing his display of power, and with a dark expression, he headed back.

Liu Fen, on the other hand, took care of the aftermath. After all, it was a fact that Zhiyuan had bitten someone, so they still had to pay compensation.

She promised Da Pang’s wife that she would bring eggs and milk powder to help Da Pang replenish his strength.

Lin Qingping had already taken Zhiyuan and left earlier.

On the way, she saw a figure in a green top flash behind a large tree. When she went closer to look, the figure had already disappeared. She didn’t think much of it, assuming it was just someone watching the scene, and quickened her pace to head home.

By the time Gu Juncheng and Liu Fen returned, Lin Qingping had already set the table for dinner.

The family ate in silence, the atmosphere heavy and suffocating. Lin Qingping stole several glances at Gu Juncheng, but his expression remained unchanged, and she couldn’t figure out what was going through his mind.

That night, as Lin Qingping was taking a bath, she couldn’t stop thinking about Gu Juncheng’s mysterious attitude.

Suddenly, the door to the bathroom was slammed open with a bang.

Startled, Lin Qingping quickly covered herself and looked up to see that the person standing in the doorway was Liu Fen.

“Ah, you’re washing up. I thought no one was in here.” Liu Fen said, her gaze sweeping over Lin Qingping’s chest.

Lin Qingping’s snow-white chest clearly revealed a mole. Liu Fen closed the door behind her and left. Lin Qingping realized then that her mother-in-law’s accidental intrusion was likely intentional.

As night fell, the entire village grew quiet. It was time to sleep, yet Gu Juncheng still hadn’t returned to his room.

Lin Qingping lay restlessly, tossing and turning. After seeing the mole on her chest, would Liu Fen have said anything to Gu Juncheng?

With this thought, she could no longer stay still. She got up and went to the outer room, where she heard quiet voices coming from Liu Fen’s room.

She stepped closer and pressed her ear to the door. It was Liu Fen’s voice!

“Chengzi, I think Goudan’s words might not be false. Don’t hide it from me anymore. Don’t you know if your wife has a mole?”

Gu Juncheng didn’t respond.

Lin Qingping thought to herself that he indeed didn’t know—after all, he hadn’t touched her yet, how could he know? Then she heard Liu Fen’s voice again:

“When you’re outside, you protect the family’s reputation, making sure Goudan doesn’t dare to speak out, but what can’t we say between us? I went to have a look just now, and your wife does have a mole. If she didn’t have anything to do with Goudan, how would he know about it?”

“Enough!” Gu Juncheng’s voice was cold.

“Is it enough for me to just stay quiet? When you’re here, the villagers won’t dare to gossip, but what about when you’re gone? By then, I’m afraid your father and I will be mocked so much that we won’t even be able to stand straight!”

Gu Juncheng fell silent again.

“Say something! This daughter-in-law, we can’t keep her. We brought her into the house like we’re offering sacrifices to the ancestors, but she’s never satisfied, constantly throwing things around, cursing us behind our backs. We’ve tolerated it because we know you’re never home, but this… this is something we can’t tolerate! In the past, something like this would have led to her being drowned in the pond!”
