Chapter 17: Epileptic Seizure

Seeing that Gu Shiqing was looking at her, Lin Banxia could not tell whether he understood her or not.

Lin Banxia said: “Stretch out your hand.”

Although he had no idea what Lin Banxia was going to do, Gu Shiqing instinctively followed her instruction and extended his hand.

Then, Lin Banxia placed her own hand on the fleshy area between his thumb and index finger—right at the Hegu acupoint.

It made his heart itch.

Gu Shiqing took a deep breath, trying to drive away the tormenting sensation.

But his body didn’t seem to obey him.

“All done.” The little lesson from Old Master Lin was over. Lin Banxia finally withdrew her hand and even thoughtfully helped Gu Shiqing pull his sleeve back down.

Lin Banxia had not felt hungry before, but once Gu Shiqing asked, she realized she really was. After all, acupoint pressing took energy too.

Gu Shiqing then took out the lunch box he had placed in a convenient spot earlier. When he opened the lid, it revealed a meal specially prepared for them by Xu Minzhi before their departure.

Inside were sweet and sour pork ribs and boiled prawns—packed full to the brim.

Because of the hot weather, Xu Minzhi had only prepared that one meal for them. There was no point in making more; if left out for too long, it would spoil.

Gu Shiqing handed over the chopsticks, and the two of them began eating.

Gu Shiqing picked up a few pieces of sweet and sour ribs from his own lunch box and placed them into Lin Banxia’s, saying: “Eat a little more.”

“That’s enough, that’s enough, I can’t finish that much.” Lin Banxia quickly said.

Lin Banxia ate while reminding herself to cherish the moment. Once this meal was finished, she would no longer be able to enjoy Xu Minzhi’s cooking after arriving at the military unit.

However, the lunch box was packed too full, and Lin Banxia couldn’t finish it all.

But the food was simply too delicious to waste. Lin Banxia touched her stomach, feeling a bit conflicted.

As he spoke, he set aside his empty lunch box and pulled Lin Banxia’s box in front of him, beginning to eat from it.

Seeing Gu Shiqing eating her leftovers, Lin Banxia felt somewhat embarrassed. However, watching him eat so heartily, she figured saying anything more would just make her seem overly fussy.

The child burst into tears the moment the candy was taken—crying out with a loud “Wah!”

Lin Banxia began pressing on acupoints to help the patient recover more quickly.
