Chapter 23: Returning to the Public Security Bureau

“Then does that mean I can touch you during the day too?” Lu Zhao quickly responded.

Su Yunqi hesitated for two seconds.

Lu Zhao: “Forget it.”

“No. I’ll listen to you, alright? I’m really not forcing myself!” Su Yunqi, unable to bear seeing him upset, quickly nodded and agreed, like a chick pecking at rice.

You useless bastard!” As he cursed, his body convulsed twice, his eyes rolled back, and he fainted again.

Although the Zheng family had become well-off through fish farming, earning tens of thousands of yuan, Zheng Ye’s father was notoriously stingy. He always guarded the fish pond himself at night instead of hiring someone. Sometimes, when he was particularly tired, he would ask Zheng Ye to take over.

Zheng Ye stared fixedly at Lu Zhao’s back as he was about to leave the Public Security Bureau. His eyes were red with fury, his murderous intent spreading like wildfire.

He reached into his pocket—he had already brought a knife with him when he left the house that day.
