Jiang Rou has not yet figured out a way to get the best of both worlds. In the afternoon, the sky suddenly darkened, and a heavy rainstorm began.

The old house had only a layer of tiles on the roof, and there were many leaky spots, even inside the rooms.

After speaking, she felt something was wrong. She gestured with her hand a couple of times. His left side and her left side were not the same, and the house faced south. “Still leaking.”

After fixing more than a dozen leaks, it took nearly forty minutes. When Li Xiao returned, he was completely soaked.

Jiang Rou asked him to wash his hair quickly and even took the initiative to find a towel for him.

Li Xiao took the towel she handed over, wiped his head, and didn’t move. He watched as she hurriedly emptied the dirty water from the washbasin, then rinsed it with rainwater at the door and brought the hot water bottle from the big table.

Jiang Rou took a good example, took soap, dragged a chair to the door, brought him almost half a basin of cold water, poured the water from the kettle into the basin, and tested the temperature with her hand to see if the temperature was right.

Then she turned her head, smiled sweetly at the man standing nearby, and said, “You can wash now. I’ll go boil water for you to bathe.”

Li Xiao glanced at her and said nothing. After she left, he threw the towel into the washbasin and then bent over to immerse his head in the hot water.
