“Beast God, can hemp fabric really be used to make clothes like this? It’s so impressive!”
The rain outside the straw shelter hadn’t stopped, and the light was dim, but Yin He’s eyes were sparkling, clearly impressed by Wen Ze.
In fact, Wen Ze, who could hardly be called a ‘tailor’ even by basic standards, had made clothes that didn’t fit well. However, people in the beast world generally had good figures like him—tall and slim, with balanced proportions, long legs, and a small waist—so he would look good even in a burlap sack.
The robe, which sparkled with a light silver color, was slightly loose and reached just above his knees, with a tie around his firm waist.
While the sleeves were narrow at the top and wide at the bottom, but in order to allow movement, they were far from wide sleeves.
Since he was in a hurry, the sleeves and hem weren’t stitched, and the hemp threads hung at different lengths, giving the robe a natural, effortless charm.
The pressed collar also exposed his beautifully defined collarbones, and his wheat-colored neck was long and lively. Paired with his handsome face, he seemed to radiate a faint silver light, full of energy.
Yin He had already rushed over and circled around him several times, touching this and that with his paws and saying repeatedly, “Brother, you look so good now! Do I get hemp clothes too? I really want to wear them! Or can I try yours?”
Wen Ze couldn’t resist his enthusiasm and said with a smile, “I’ve finished yours too; it’s right here. Try it on.”
He handed the smaller hemp clothes to him and looked over at Zhuo Mu in the distance. “This one is yours.”
Zhuo Mu’s deep eyes brightened, and he walked to his side with his long legs. He took the clothes from Wen Ze with both hands.
Gently running his slender, cold, pale fingers over the fabric, he said in a low yet serious voice, “Thank you.”
Wen Ze barely managed to say “no nee—” but before he could finish, he noticed out of the corner of his eye that Yin He couldn’t even wait to get to the cave to change. He ripped off his animal hide skirt right then and there, standing completely naked.
Wen Ze’s brow twitched heavily. “Yin He! What are you doing! Change in the cave!”
Yin He used his clothes to cover himself, his eyes wandering around. “Brother, Brother Zhuo Mu is a beastman, and I am not an adult yet, so it’s okay…”
This troublemaker! He said he was almost an adult when he went hunting secretly, but now he’s acting like he’s still a kid?
“No! Come with me to the cave.” Wen Ze’s ears turned red with embarrassment. He grabbed Yin He’s hand and walked quickly into the cave.
With his help, Yin He happily put on his new clothes.
Since Wen Ze was inexperienced, he made the first piece for himself, and the second for Yin He. As a result, the stitching and cut of this one were better than his own.
The young boy, with bear ears and a bear tail, was extremely happy and quickly ran out of the cave.
He waved his arms up and down and told Wen Ze about his experience, “Brother! This cloth is so slippery and cool to wear! So comfortable! It’s just so light, it’s like I’m not even wearing anything. But it’s okay, I don’t wear clothes when I turn into beast form anyway!”
“You’ll get used to it once you wear it for a while.”
Yin He jumped happily, “Look, even with all my jumping, the clothes don’t slip off! They’re so much better than the animal hide! Brother, I love these clothes! Can I show them to my friends in the tribe?”
Is he bragging now? Wen Ze couldn’t help but laugh and feel helpless.
“It’s so late, they might have already gone to bed. Why don’t you go tomorrow morning? Besides, I want to finish the hems on the clothes.”
Yin He sighed in disappointment. “Okay, then. I’ll go look at myself in the water basin!”
If he hadn’t been afraid of getting his new clothes wet by the rain, he would have gone to the stream to take a look.
Yin He turned and ran away, his short bear tail twitching under the robe.
Wen Ze shook his head and finally looked at Zhuo Mu. The blush that had just faded from his ears reappeared when he saw him.
The clothes that Zhuo Mu wore were actually a little too small… especially in the chest area.
The man had just the right amount of muscle, with perfect, strong lines, but his chest was surprisingly broad.
The collar could not completely cover his chest muscles, and the clothes turned into a V-neck, revealing a wild, powerful line of muscle.
The sleeves were slightly short too, making it a three-quarter sleeve.
Fortunately, the overall length of the robe was enough to basically cover his strong legs.
He looked particularly stylish in the simple robe. The light silver fabric complemented his silver hair, adding to his wild and natural look.
Wen Ze couldn’t help feeling a subtle pride. Am I a design genius or what?
Zhuo Mu stood, his long arms hanging naturally, and with his tall frame, he maintained a straight back and proper posture.
His deep, narrow red eyes stared at Wen Ze and asked him, “Is it okay?”
Wen Ze nodded heavily, “Yes! I think it’s good! What about you?”
Zhuo Mu’s thin lips curled up slightly, and a hint of a smile spread to his eyes.
“I like it. Thank you.”
Wen Ze scratched his head, embarrassed. “You don’t have to keep thanking me. Besides, without your help over the past few days, we wouldn’t have finished weaving all this fabric.”
The two looked at each other and smiled.
His and Yin He’s approval made Wen Ze even more certain that spending all that time weaving the cloth was worth it.
After trying on the clothes, Wen Ze was so tired that his eyes barely stayed open. He quickly took a bath and got ready to sleep.
Like him, everyone else only had one set of clothes right now, and no one wanted to wear it to sleep. Before going to bed, they all put it away in their space and wore their usual animal hide skirts.
Feeling satisfied, Wen Ze overslept slightly the next morning.
He put on his clothes and went out of the cave, only to find that the sun was already up.
“Oh, I haven’t made breakfast yet!”
As he stepped out of the cave, he instinctively shielded his eyes, and only then did he realize, “Huh?”
“Did it stop raining?”
The rain earlier made him moldy, but now that the sun’s out, it’s really lovely and pleasant.
“Brother!” Dressed in his animal skirt, Yin He walked over from the nearby woods, holding a bundle of firewood.
“Why are you alone? Where’s Zhuo Mu?” Wen Ze asked.
“Brother Zhuo Mu said the weather will be partly sunny over the next two days, and the tribe has sent people hunting, so he left early as well!”
Wen Ze paused for a moment. “What about breakfast…”
“Brother Zhuo Mu and I prepared breakfast together. We steamed the roots and grilled the meat, but it’s not as delicious as what you cooked.”
Wen Ze didn’t mind; having something to eat was good enough.
Moreover, he noticed that before grilling the meat, they had marinated it with salt and scallions, which probably made it tastier than just grilling it directly.
“Where’s the new clothes I made for you? Why aren’t you wearing them?” Wen Ze asked.
Yin He put down the firewood, scratched his head, and said, “I was afraid it would get scratched or dirty while working, so I thought I would wear it when I have free time.”
Wen Ze felt a bit sad hearing this. It was just a simple cloth, but he treated it with such care.
But wasn’t he just the same? Before traveling to this world, when he saw his classmates packing up and donating or throwing away clothes they didn’t like, he didn’t feel any sadness.
Now, if possible, he wished he could go back to that time, take the clothes from the trash, so he wouldn’t have to work so hard weaving fabric.
With a soft sigh, he smiled.
There’s no going back; he can only live in the present.
“Go ahead and wear it. Hemp clothes are naturally more durable, and now that we know how to weave fabric, there will be more clothes to wear in the future,” Wen Ze said while gently messing up his hair.
Yin He looked at him, and his eyes slowly turned red.
“Brother, I feel like you’re a bit different from before since you woke up.”
Wen Ze slowly lowered his hand, his heart tightening, but he still acted calmly, “Really?”
“Yes. But no matter whether it’s before or now, you’ve always treated me the same.”
Thinking of the deceased original owner, Wen Ze felt sad.
He bent slightly, then looked at Yin He seriously, “I will always be your brother.”
He will honor the original owner’s wishes, take good care of Yin He, and live a good life.

Just as Zhuo Mu said, it started to rain lightly again not long after breakfast.
Fortunately, Yin He could change into his beast form, so the rain didn’t affect him much.
Once Wen Ze helped him hem his clothes, he eagerly waved goodbye, turned into a giant panda, and swayed his round backside as he ran toward the tribe.
Wen Ze wasn’t interested in visiting others, so he returned to the cave and checked the food left by Zhuo Mu.
The cave was cool and well-ventilated. The prey they had caught last time was still fine, though it had a slight smell.
However, the two baskets of gray roots inside had already started to mold.
Once they begin to mold, it will get worse quickly, so they need to deal with it soon.
His space was only one cubic meter, which was not enough to store all the gray roots, and he couldn’t eat them all at once…
After thinking about it, Wen Ze decided to make some starch for preservation since he had hemp cloth to filter it.
Without delay, he carefully washed the roots with clean water, cut them into pieces, and then carried them to the tribe’s public stone mill to prepare to grind them into paste.
The big stone mill has been passed down from generation to generation in the tribe. It is located in the center of the tribe, with a mountain pass behind it and a clear stream nearby, making it convenient for getting water.
It took him a while to walk there, but he didn’t see anyone along the way. He guessed that the rain had finally stopped, and the people in the tribe probably took the time to go hunting and gathering.
In addition to the stone mill, there is also a black stone altar dedicated to the beast god. Since it wasn’t a time for offerings, the altar only displayed a complete white mountain rock beast skull.
Following the tradition, Wen Ze stood in front of the altar with his hands clasped together and bowed deeply three times before using the stone mill.
His strength had grown much greater than before, so even though the stone mill was heavy, grinding the paste wasn’t difficult; it just took more time.
Fortunately, after traveling to the beast world, the thing he has the most is time.
It was not until the afternoon that he finished grinding the paste. To prevent it from spilling, he placed the wooden bowl in his space.
He walked back with light steps, but when he was still some distance from the cave, he heard a lot of people talking. Their tone wasn’t aggressive, but it carried a sense of urgency.
Could it be that Yin He brought the half-beastmen over again?
Thinking of this, Wen Ze quickened his pace.
When he finally passed through the small path in the grass and saw the scene at the cave entrance, he was stunned.
Why were there so many beastmen here?
The smell of beastmen is much more aggressive than that of the half-beastmen. He was caught off guard and felt like his nose had been punched.
“Wen Ze is back!” someone shouted, and the beastmen immediately rushed toward him.
