Twenty-Seventh Meow
After years of banquet experience in the business world, Hu Zheng immediately put down his wine glass when he found that his brain was dizzy and his thinking become somewhat chaotic.
Although that kind of comfortable intoxication was still slowly climbing up his stomach, Huo Zheng still remained somewhat sober.
However, compared to Huo Zheng, He Yunzhou, who had been staying at home ever since as a disaster man, was completely crushed by alcohol.
“Come, come ah…” Gesturing animatedly, He Yunzhou staggered and grabbed Huo Zheng’s hand, dragging him to the living room.
“Wait, wait a minute, you’re drunk…”
Huo Zheng wanted to break free from the other party, but once he met He Yunzhou’s pleading face, his body seemed to be softened by alcohol that he couldn’t use his strength at all.
Without paying attention, Huo Zheng was pushed heavily onto the messy sofa by He Yunzhou.
“Wha—”
“Look, toys!”
Shortly after that, he climbed onto the sofa and snuggled tightly onto the young man beside him. Suddenly, he solemnly took out a handful of spherical plush toys from the gap in the sofa cushion and carefully placed it in Huo Zheng’s hands.
“Gi, give it to you,” The drunken He Yunzhou tilted his head and said to Huo Zheng full of joy.
It’s just that he could no longer stabilize his body while taking, and all his weight slowly leaned on Huo Zheng’s shoulders.
“Hehe… like it or not…”
Huo Zheng looked at the plush toys He Yunzhou handed him somewhat at a loss, and it took a while to realize that they were cat toys. He didn’t know what He Yunzhou actually regarded him as in his drunkenness. That’s why he piled up these things in Huo Zheng’s hands like a treasure.
Huo Zheng was a little helpless and a little amused as he looked down at the toys. Then, he slowly turned around and met He Yunzhou’s straightforward gaze, “Look, I’ll give you the best… give you everything…”
He Yunzhou lowered his voice and said to Huo Zheng in an awfully low and very serious voice. At this moment, his face and neck were already stained with pink and his eyes were slightly red, seeping with a touch of physiological tears.
Huo Zheng knew that the sober He Yunzhou actually often looked at him unconsciously, entranced.
It’s just that whenever He Yunzhou discovers this, he would quickly withdraw his gaze and pretend that everything was normal.
However, the drunken He Yunzhou didn’t have this little problem at all.
In fact, it was only after getting drunk that He Yunzhou finally showed his most honest side.
When he was looking at Huo Zheng, that kind of sight could almost be described as explicit—
Sweetness, satisfaction, and happiness permeated his eyes unabashedly.
Under the light, his eyes flickered with a brilliant gaze like stars.
Huo Zheng felt that the originally controllable drunkenness in his body was constantly increasing, fermenting, and gradually taking over his sanity under this damn gaze.
“He Yunzhou… you’re really drunk…” Huo Zheng raised his hand hesitantly and gently pressed it on He Yunzhou’s shoulder.
“Shh—” He Yunzhou directly interrupted Huo Zheng’s somewhat confused whisper.
Immediately afterwards, He Yunzhou staggered and straightened up, then he stretched out a hot finger against Huo Zheng’s lips.
“Don’t talk, as soon as you speak%#&…” He Yunzhou stared at Huo Zheng’s face infatuatedly, making a vague and searing murmur.
Thump thump—
Thump thump—
Thump thump—
Huo Zheng didn’t hear the latter part of He Yunzhou’s words, but he didn’t care about it either—he didn’t have the time to care about it.
At this time, he only felt that his throat was dry, and his entire heart was beating as if it was about to explode in the next second.
The small piece of skin on his lips become so sensitive, that it seemed that even the throbbing of the veins under He Yunzhou’s finger was transmitted to Huo Zheng without cover.
Huo Zheng’s lips closed for a long time. He knew what he should say, whether to refuse or to console. In short, he should say something—but He Yunzhou’s murmur was like having magic, completely taking away his voice.
To make matters worse, He Yunzhou’s face was getting closer and closer to him.
“I miss you so much.”
He Yunzhou’s muttering that gradually became hoarse because of alcohol echoed in Huo Zheng’s ears.
“During this time… I miss you miss so… %… almost crazy… %#without you, I might die… wuwuwu…”
He was obviously such a shy, clumsy, and inexperienced man who seemed to have become another person under the urging of alcohol.
He Yunzhou looked at Huo Zheng foolishly, his fingers slowly sliding along the outline of Huo Zheng’s face, totally unaware of how ambiguous his actions were.
To make matters even worse, at this time, Huo Zheng found that his body was limp and unable to move, and there was no way to refuse He Yunzhou’s hands on him.
When He Yunzhou’s hands moved on him, he even closed his eyes involuntarily.
He was ready to meet the expected physical entanglement…
But unexpectedly, He Yunzhou didn’t undo his collar as Huo Zheng had worried.
In Huo Zheng’s bewilderment and apprehension, He Yunzhou slowly stroked the former’s long silver-gray hair that he didn’t know when it was messed up.
He stroked Huo Zheng’s hair over and over again, muttering fragmented words constantly.
Huo Zheng originally wanted to make an effort to identify what He Yunzhou was actually saying.
But… he couldn’t do it.
He was completely confused.
Huo Zheng had never seen anyone like He Yunzhou or rather, he had never thought that He Yunzhou would be so provocative and frank when he was drunk.
The whole world seemed to become hazy and blurred at this moment, and the only thing that was clear was the temperature and gasping of that person.
Moreover, that person’s eyes.
Seems so sorrowful, so deep.
Huo Zheng felt like he had been suddenly punched, his pupils dilated, his breathing was hurried, and his brain went blank.
Unconsciously, his fingers have already dug out the sofa fabric hard and his fingertips slightly turned pale due to excessive force.
This is the best time.
He Yunzhou finally confessed in front of Huo Zheng, and he should seize this opportunity to make everything clear.
Huo Zheng thought hazily.
He had already made up his mind.
He knew a long time ago that he could only be alone forever and that he could never give another person the so-called love.
He may have some abnormalities here with He Yunzhou, but he eventually let his world return to its original course.
“I’m sorry—” Huo Zheng started to mutter.
But the moment he opened his mouth, even he himself was surprised at how weak and low his voice was.
“I really have no way to—”
Huo Zheng didn’t finish his words.
Because he found that He Yunzhou was covering his body, staring at him in a daze, and the rim of his eyes was already full of tears.
“Don’t leave me.”
He Yunzhou pounced over and hugged Huo Zheng tightly.
As he spoke, his scorching exhaled breath hit between Huo Zheng’s ears and neck, and the aromas of osmanthus and sugar seemed to be able to penetrate under Huo Zheng’s skin through the hot air.
Huo Zheng couldn’t move, he felt like he was about to be torn in half — the sensible half was frantically warning him to cut the Gordian knot[1]Literal translation ‘quick sword cuts through tangled hemp’ which means making a decisive action in a complex situation. and completely get out of this ambiguous relationship.
But his body didn’t listen at all.
Huo Zheng originally wanted to push He Yunzhou away with both hands, but he slowly wrapped his arms around the other party uncontrollably.
“I’m sorry.”
Huo Zheng could only repeat the words weakly.
There are many ways to deal with drunkards, but Huo Zheng is now completely helpless against He Yunzhou.
“Don’t go, ok… *&%don’t leave me alone on Earth… I can also accompany you&… The house will become so empty without you… I’m really sad… I miss you so much I miss you so much I miss you so much… wuwuwu…”
He Yunzhou’s tears dampened Huo Zheng’s collar, and his choked voice became extra slurred.
Because of this, Huo Zheng didn’t realize that some strange words in those repeated mutterings were actually… the two words “Gua Ji.”[2]Me who used Guaji in one word *hides* Just kidding. Sorry about that. I guess I gotta edit the previous chapters… when I have time
He Yunzhou’s lips were close at hand. He kept muttering drunken words that were too vague to be heard clearly, unaware that Huo Zheng had been watching him for a long time.
As if demons and gods were at work, Huo Zheng leaned towards He Yunzhou.
He didn’t want He Yunzhou to look sorrowful and lonely.
Want to make this person smile softly forever, want this person to have happiness and good fortune in front of him to be so brilliant all the time.
Want to make this person look at him [3]Huo Zheng so fondly all the time.
Want to love him.
Want to…
The author has something to say:
Mr. Huo is full of expectations and still wants to refuse to welcome but also shyly and anxiously waiting for Mr. He’s drunken mess x[4]There’s really an ‘x’ by the end here.
However, Mr. He only plans to use the wine to rub the cat.
……
[Whispers: I’m really meng-ed to this kind of plot where the tsundere gong is forcefully pressed somewhere by the shou and pulls out the bed sheet with both hands restlessly.]
