Chapter 32: Exclusive to Jinjiang 1/2
Although the students in Song Fuzhi’s class had diverse interests, they were very united. During competitions, there was always a group of classmates cheering on the sidelines.
The children in their class were highly competitive, each aiming for first place. Surprisingly, during exams, they didn’t show the same level of enthusiasm.
Song Fuzhi spent the entire day shuttling between various sports venues, carrying a camera, and filling up a memory card.
Even with his robust physique, Teacher Song felt a bit exhausted. After returning home and having dinner, he wanted to lie down and rest. The next day, he had to participate in a long-distance run.
Resting on a soft sofa, Song Fuzhi emptied his mind. Shi Zhang sat beside him and asked, “Teacher Song, tired?”
Song Fuzhi made a noncommittal sound and smiled. “Today, I played the role of a photographer for the entire sports day, running around with the camera.”
Shi Zhang gently supported the back of his neck and patted it, saying, “Let me give you a massage.”
A gentle but irresistible force was applied to his shoulders. Song Fuzhi followed the slight control of Shi Zhang’s hand and slowly leaned back on the sofa.
“Relax your muscles moderately, and you’ll perform better in tomorrow’s run,” Shi Zhang advised.
Song Fuzhi lay on the sofa, holding a pillow against it, feeling a bit embarrassed.
He had experienced spa treatments outside, but it was the first time his husband had massaged him.
Song Fuzhi tried to break the silence by saying, “Professor, you remember I have sports day tomorrow?”
Shi Zhang was slightly surprised. “Do I have such a bad memory?”
“Not that,” Song Fuzhi said, burying his chin in the soft pillow. “I just thought about how I didn’t participate much in sports days during high school. Now, in my thirties, I’ve started participating.”
Shi Zhang asked, “What events did you participate in?”
“In my first year, I participated in high jump, just to make up the numbers,” Song Fuzhi’s voice softened. He paused for a moment and smiled self-deprecatingly. “It’s not a fond memory.”
“Why?” Shi Zhang inquired.
Song Fuzhi remained silent for a moment, and Shi Zhang massaged his shoulder, speaking gently, “If you don’t want to talk about it, it’s fine.”
“There’s nothing I don’t want to say. It’s just funny to think about it now,” Song Fuzhi said. He rested his chin on the soft pillow. “During the high jump competition, it was held simultaneously with the short-distance relay. Everyone went to watch the relay, and I was the only one in another place doing high jump.”
“At that time, I wasn’t good at sports, and I hadn’t practiced high jumping. When I ran for the jump, not only did I knock down the bar, but I also sprained my foot. However, I didn’t know anyone around me, and in the end, it was the PE teacher who took me to the infirmary. After that, I never wanted to participate in sports day again.”
It turned out to be a story of going to battle and losing before getting started.
Shi Zhang massaged Song Fuzhi’s shoulders, consoling him silently.
Song Fuzhi smiled and continued, “The PE teacher knew that my mom was a teacher in the school. She went to find her, but my mom said she was currently teaching senior students and couldn’t leave, so she asked the infirmary teacher to take care of me.”
“My classmates came to the infirmary that afternoon to see me, and even the class teacher came. Until the evening, when my mom came to take me home, did she remember that I had sprained my foot?”
It turned out he wanted to talk about more than just the sports day.
Shi Zhang lowered his eyes. “What should we do? Ms. Wang was teaching our class at that time. We made her worry so much that she didn’t have time for her son.”
Song Fuzhi laughed a few times: “I was quite unhappy that day, thinking that my mom, who was at the school, could forget about me. Now that I’m a class teacher myself, I suddenly understand her.”
“With dozens of children in the class, it’s impossible to take care of everyone and still have enough time for your own child.”
Song Fuzhi paused for a few seconds, sounding a bit embarrassed. “Professor Shi, have I not paid much attention to you normally?”
Shi Zhang initially wanted to say, “It’s okay, I’m not a child.” However, he changed his mind before speaking.
Shi Zhang replied, “Yes.”
He squatted by the edge of the sofa, his gaze aligned with Song Fuzhi’s eyes. Getting closer, he asked in a low voice, “What should we do?”
Song Fuzhi didn’t expect him to get so close, and his heartbeat suddenly accelerated.
“Teacher Song, spare me some attention, can you?”
Song Fuzhi felt he shouldn’t ask that question.
Unexpectedly, Professor Shi could use their interactions as a bargaining chip for flirting.
However, Song Fuzhi surprisingly surrendered willingly. If this person wanted a bit of attention from him, then he would give it.
Looking gently at Shi Zhang, Song Fuzhi carefully took off his glasses.
The professor without glasses looked a bit younger, with his plain features carrying a cool tone.
Warm fingertips slid from Song Fuzhi’s earlobe to his chin, and Shi Zhang gently held the side of Song Fuzhi’s neck, tilting his head and lowering his gaze, initiating a deep kiss.
He embraced Shi Zhang’s shoulders, feeling the firm tension of the muscles beneath his palms and the gradually accelerating pulse of the professor.
After the kiss, their breaths were still intertwined.
The two were very close, looking into each other’s eyes, and suddenly, they laughed together.
Professor Shi put on his glasses again, returning to the appearance of a modest gentleman.
Shi Zhang calmly distanced himself a bit, returning to his original position. “Let me give you another massage.”
The man’s palm was large, the pressure was just right, and the temperature remained consistently warm, making it very soothing.
Song Fuzhi, comfortable with closed eyes, softened his voice. “Professor Shi, have you studied massage?”
A light laugh came from behind: “No, just massaging casually.”
However, every touch landed precisely on acupoints, making Song Fuzhi feel a combination of soreness, numbness, and pain deep within the muscles.
Suddenly, Shi Zhang asked, “Are you afraid of pain?”
Song Fuzhi’s shoulders tensed, and he replied slowly, “Not really.”
“Your muscles are all tense.”
Shi Zhang lightly tapped his shoulder blades, the palm landing on the skin through the clothes, causing a brief moment of pain.
“Relax a bit.” Shi Zhang’s tone was gentle.
Song Fuzhi tried to let his muscles rest, humming softly, “Relaxed now…”
Shi Zhang asked, “Feeling comfortable?”
Song Fuzhi buried his head in the soft pillow and hummed a “yes” from his nostrils.
Shi Zhang pinched the back of his neck and said, “I couldn’t hear that clearly.”
Song Fuzhi didn’t know if he did it intentionally, but the professor seemed to need recognition for his work. So Song Fuzhi said, “It’s comfortable.”
Shi Zhang said, “We’ll be going camping tomorrow; the tent is small, and sleeping won’t be as comfortable as a bed. Teacher Song, you’ll have to endure it for two days.”
The soreness and swelling on his back still lingered in his senses, and Song Fuzhi lazily said, “Camping is for experiencing a simple and primitive lifestyle, not a hardship.”
Shi Zhang chuckled lightly behind him.
At this moment, Song Fuzhi remembered to confirm the plans for the next day: “After finishing the sports day tomorrow, should I come to the university to find you?”
“If I remember correctly, your university is on the way out of the city.”
Shi Zhang nodded. “Yes.”
“After finishing,” Shi Zhang asked, “Is the guest satisfied?”
Song Fuzhi, lying down, replied, “Satisfied.”
“Then get up and rest early.”
Song Fuzhi still didn’t move, facing down. His voice sounded lazy: “You go wash first; let me rest for a while.”
When Shi Zhang went to take a shower, the sound of rushing water came from inside. Song Fuzhi leisurely sat up.
Slowly standing up, he swayed into the bathroom to take a shower.
Perhaps Profesor Shi’s massage service was really good. That night, Song Fuzhi slept soundly and woke up the next day feeling refreshed.
As the sports day progressed, the overall scores for the entire grade gradually became clear.
The students in Song Fuzhi’s class and the adjacent class were neck and neck, leaving other classes far behind.
“Last year, they beat us by two points! This year, we must redeem ourselves!’
