Chapter 71: Exclusive to Jinjiang 2/2
Thinking about it, it sounded good. Song Fuzhi nodded. “Sure.”
Later, Song Fuzhi asked Shi Zhang, “Do we really take wedding photos? Should we book a photo studio?”
Shi Zhang, reading a book by the table, lifted his head slightly, remained silent for a few seconds, and then sat up straight.
“In fact, I have an idea.”
Song Fuzhi waited for him to continue.
Shi Zhang slowly said, “A photo studio mainly provides makeup, photography, and a location. For makeup, I know a skilled makeup artist; for photography, I believe Fu has a good photographer; and as for the location, there are plenty.”
“And clothes.” Shi Zhang’s eyes sparkled mischievously. “If I’m not mistaken, Teacher Song has been in my dressing room—do you think there are enough clothes in there?”
Song Fuzhi’s eyes widened gradually.
“Zhang.” At this point, Song Fuzhi was already used to calling Shi Zhang by his nickname.
Song Fuzhi smiled and squinted his eyes. “Are you thinking of using cosplay photos as wedding photos?”
Shi Zhang smirked. “What do you think?”
Using cosplay photos as wedding photos sounded unconventional and not suitable for their age. But thinking about the scene, Song Fuzhi suddenly became excited.
He nodded. “I think it’s a great idea.”
A simple idea successfully ignited the interest of these two cosplayers.
One was a former god in the circle, and the other was a rising star in the world of cosplaying.
Their shared topic had never been so extensive. They didn’t want to go anywhere and stayed in the study, discussing how to take wedding photos.
From choosing characters to designing the scenes, every step was a long discussion for the two.
Professor Shi pulled out a piece of paper from a pile of equations and plant diagrams, then took a pencil to outline the poses of two stick figures, explaining his composition ideas.
Most of the time, Shi Zhang preferred shooting on location, but wedding photos were different; they needed to be treated seriously.
Professor Shi still wore thin glasses, looking scholarly and serious; his lines were smooth, yet they carried a trendy cultural vibe.
Song Fuzhi found Professor Shi both unfamiliar and intriguing, silently watching him with a smile on his lips.
At that moment, Professor Shi and Zhang overlapped subtly.
After talking for a while, Shi Zhang noticed Song Fuzhi seemed a bit distracted, so he stopped and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Song Fuzhi smiled and said, “The legendary coser, Teacher Octopus, is discussing cosplay with me. It feels amazing.”
Shi Zhang raised an eyebrow and said, “Working with Teacher Fu is my honor.”
Discussing characters and shooting plans with a fellow enthusiast was a joyful thing, and when this fellow enthusiast was your husband, the joy doubled.
In a few days, they selected official CPs. Some outfits needed to be bought, some could be found in Octopus’s treasure trove, and some props needed to be made.
“As for the shooting location,” Song Fuzhi asked, “I checked several indoor rental places, and it seems they are closed during the Spring Festival, reopening quite late.”
“I have an idea,” Shi Zhang blinked.
Lately, Shi Zhang has had many ideas. After playing cosplay for so many years, it seemed like his inspiration had never been as abundant as these days.
—
Shi Zhang spoke excitedly and quickly, “The apartment I used to live in is vacant now, right? Instead of leaving it empty, why don’t we transform it into an indoor photography studio? This way, we won’t have to go outside to rent a studio in the future. Plus, it’s right next to the dressing room, and we have everything at home. We can eat when we’re hungry and sleep when we’re tired—how about that?”
Song Fuzhi gradually widened his mouth.
Transforming an empty house into a personal studio where he could enjoy absolute freedom, shooting whatever he wanted, sounded cool and enjoyable.
Suddenly, Song Fuzhi thought, “Now that you mention it, my previous place is also vacant.”
Shi Zhang smiled. “Do we really need so many indoor shooting locations?”
“No, that’s not what I meant.” Song Fuzhi smiled, feeling a bit embarrassed. “Actually, I was thinking of renting out my old house, but I didn’t know you were Octopus before. I was afraid you wouldn’t like these things, so I turned my old home into a storage room, where I store my figurines and manga characters.”
“Now that you know, there’s no need to hide, right?” Shi Zhang smiled and then became practical: “Why don’t you move your figurines, manga, and other stuff to my place? Then you can rent out the old house, and it won’t be left vacant.”
Although Song Fuzhi was a math teacher, he lacked planning for his personal assets.
Leaving a house that was not being used without renting it out was no different from pushing money away.
Song Fuzhi thought Shi Zhang was right, and he had the same idea.
“I think it’s a good idea,” Song Fuzhi said. “We live in this current place; you can use your previous one as a second-dimensional base, and I can rent out my old place to earn some rental income.”
Shi Zhang nodded. “Sounds good.”
“So, when do you want me to help you move your stuff?” Shi Zhang asked.
Song Fuzhi started thinking about the details of the cosplay again and casually replied, “Any day is fine; we can go whenever it’s convenient.”
Suddenly, the two of them had a lot more to do—researching studio decoration, setting up the second-dimensional space, detailing cosplay plans, and so on.
It was busy, but it was fulfilling and had a lot of momentum.
At first, Song Fuzhi thought his married life would consist of a serious and dignified professor, mutual respect, a harmonious relationship, and a peaceful life until old age.
However, in just over half a year, so many things happened that Song Fuzhi received many unexpected surprises.
In his thirties, Song Fuzhi felt like he was experiencing the life of a passionate protagonist from a youth anime.
Full of interest, new ideas, and unexpected adventures.
Shi Zhang played music out loud, and Song Fuzhi sat beside him, calling Tongtong.
Tongtong elongated her voice, “Hello.”
Shi Zhang said sincerely, “Teacher Tong, there might be another job for you.”
“…”
When Octopus suddenly emerged on the Internet a few days ago, the entire cosplay community was shaken.
Tongtong, as Octopus’s makeup artist, was bombarded with inquiries from friends and relatives, urging her to go and see the darkened octopus.
Tongtong went to join the fun, and when she saw Fufu, she understood. No wonder Octopus suddenly emerged; it was her husband’s business, and he had to come out.
Others might not be sure, but Tongtong had a feast that night.
So now Tongtong was indifferent. “What flavor of dog food? Just feed me.”
Shi Zhang restrained a smile. “Wedding photos; would you like to take this job?”
“Thank you; the dog food is delicious; I’ll take it.” Tongtong’s tone became cheerful.
Shi Zhang asked, “What ideas do you have?”
“No ideas at all. Jealous King Octopus, don’t overreact. It’s just because Fufu is more handsome than you, and I want to do makeup for the handsome guy. You’re in second place.”
“…” Shi Zhang’s expression wasn’t too good.
Watching Shi Zhang’s reaction, Song Fuzhi decided to rescue the situation a bit. He lightly laughed and said, “Octopus Teacher looks very handsome, very pleasing to the eye. The more you look, the more handsome he gets.”
“Hahaha, Fufu Teacher, you’re here too! Why are you also feeding me dog food? Did Octopus threaten you with a gun to make you say he’s handsome? Do you need legal assistance?” Tongtong joked.
“Help!” Song Fuzhi joked. “Save me.”
The three of them bantered for a while. Tongtong suddenly exclaimed, “So, is this the first collaboration between Teacher Fufu and Teacher Octopus?”
Shi Zhang calmly said, “The first collaboration, just for wedding photos.”
