Chapter 79: Exclusive to Jinjiang 2/3
Two grown men were busy until late at night. Before going to bed, they checked the group messages and realized that, among all the cosers, these two uncles stayed up the latest.
Probably due to the superpowers educators possess, Song Fuzhi and Shi Zhang not only slept the latest but were also the earliest to arrive at the rehearsal room the next day, even before dawn.
After putting on makeup, wearing wigs, and Song Fuzhi casually grabbing a mask, they live-streamed for the lucky early-rising audience. Other guests from different teams left the hotel and gradually returned to the rehearsal room.
Everyone marveled at the dedication of the two teachers.
Shi Zhang laughed and pointed at Song Fuzhi. “Your teacher FuFu is the most diligent; he kicked me out of bed in the morning.”
Many cosers were still rubbing their eyes, but upon hearing this, they woke up instantly, and several people made amazed “wow” sounds.
All these lively young people, after yesterday’s rehearsal, considered chatting and having supper an essential part of their routine.
Fei Fei, not holding back, got the news about Teacher Octopus and FuFu being a legal couple yesterday. He couldn’t resist and, during the late-night gossip session, “quietly” told other cosers.
This sentence from Teacher Octopus made these two appear in the rehearsal room atmosphere early in the morning, openly confirming this news.
FuFu didn’t conceal it either; he smiled and spread his hands. “I set three alarms, but Teacher Octopus didn’t wake up. I had to kick him.”
Everyone burst into laughter. Several young girls covered their mouths and whispered that it was sweet.
Guests a bit older had passed the “gossip” stage and looked at Teacher Octopus and FuFu, feeling envious. Being able to share the same interests with a lover and enjoy the stage together was simply the most fairy-tale-like thing in reality.
The entire rehearsal room quickly became lively, with each group rehearsing intensively, trying to make the most of their time.
The program’s photographers and directors were constantly moving between the four groups, discussing when it would be convenient for them to broadcast a rehearsal live for the audience to guess which literary work their stage play was adapted from. This was a small segment of the program.
When the program team arrived at Teacher Octopus’s rehearsal room, the two of them were practicing fight scenes.
“Apologies for interrupting, two teachers,” the director said with folded hands. “Is it convenient to broadcast a bit of your rehearsal for the audience? It won’t take long.”
They had been refining their interactive movements and expressions, and since there was nothing that couldn’t be shown, both nodded in agreement.
As soon as the live stream started, the audience saw FuFu throwing a punch smoothly, but Teacher Octopus deftly blocked it, yet he still couldn’t resist moving back several steps.
After several moves, Teacher Octopus struggled to resist, retreating step by step. Seizing the opportunity, FuFu swiftly pressed Teacher Octopus against the wall, the sharp tip of his weapon just inches from his neck.
However, FuFu’s movement froze halfway through the fierce burst, and the two were very close, exchanging heated breaths, their chests rising and falling.
The two stared at each other like this. After a few seconds, Teacher Octopus smiled first. The moment of coldness disappeared, and FuFu also smiled, straightening up.
“That was good this time,” Teacher Octopus said.
FuFu casually played with the small weapon in his hand and said, “Mm.”
The barrage of comments flooded in, all screaming for help. They wondered if it was appropriate to show such a close-distance scene from the start. Successful fight scenes were exciting, but the audience most wanted to see the small mistakes and collisions during rehearsal.
If FuFu accidentally hit too hard, he would casually rub Teacher Octopus’s arm. If Teacher Octopus couldn’t dodge in time, he would inadvertently pull FuFu down to the ground but quickly protect him. The atmosphere between the two seamlessly switched between confrontation and warmth.
Their physical contact from start to finish was natural, not deliberate or excessive. The unspoken understanding revealed wasn’t something that could be formed in just a day or two.
After practicing for a while, the two finally sat down to rest. The barrage of comments filled the screen, all saying “perfect match.”
Song Fuzhi looked up, took a big sip of cold water, and droplets ran down his jawline. Shi Zhang naturally wiped them away.
“Aren’t we going to practice the later scenes? The most crucial ones,” Song Fuzhi asked.
Shi Zhang raised an eyebrow, immediately turned to look at the camera, and said, “We’re filming… Let’s practice the later scenes.”
Song Fuzhi, as if waking from a dream, covered his mouth, revealing a somewhat apologetic expression. He had gotten too into the role, forgetting they were still live.
– Damn, the mystery man!
– Of course, the most crucial part has to be practiced several times. You guys practice now; I want to see it right now, QWQ.
Teacher Octopus seemed to know what the barrage was saying and casually replied, “It’s okay. We don’t need to practice for too long. It will be natural when the time comes.”
FuFu followed with a smile, “Exactly.”
The barrage jokingly complained that the two teachers were teasing them. Teacher Octopus glanced at the barrage, left a comment, “You’ll find out tomorrow,” and mercilessly ended the live stream.

Amidst the chaotic guesses and the loud expectations of the audience, the final day of the program finally arrived as scheduled.
The schedule for the day was straightforward, mainly to evaluate the results of the previous 36 hours. The four cosplay stage plays were performed in the order determined by drawing lots.
In fact, it wasn’t entirely random; Teacher Octopus’s team was the last to go, a pre-arrangement by the program team.
Both online and offline audiences were excited. After the hosts announced the commencement, while the stage was still silent, the cheers from the audience were already fervent.
The first to perform was the team of Hu Ya and Qiangwei, both skilled dancers.
The audience’s speculations were almost accurate; they presented a musical stage play. The opening was a lively and cheerful melody, incredibly energetic, immediately uplifting the entire atmosphere.
– Ah, Ah, Hu Ya’s smile is so sweet!!
– Qiangwei, I want to be your dog, woof woof woof!
– Everyone is dancing so well.
The plot and emotional changes of the characters were expressed through dance and music, with a clever arrangement of the entire performance. Considering the high-intensity rehearsal for a day and a half, being able to present such a complete stage was truly impressive.
The following two groups used the traditional format of stage plays. Although the cosers participating were not professional actors, each had their own skills, resulting in a pretty good final performance.
Some mischievous cosers contributed many quirky ideas, making the stage rich and enjoyable.
The climax of the performance was the interaction between the male and female leads in the second group. The two walked side by side on a shaded path.
As they were about to part ways, a sudden gust of wind blew, and flowers and leaves fluttered in the air. The girl was about to leave. The boy closed his eyes suddenly, bravely grabbed the girl’s wrist, and nervously kissed her.
The audience could only see the boy’s back and the girl’s arm lightly circling around the boy’s back.
The scene was beautifully hazy, and the screams from the audience were deafening.
– Ah, Ah, so sweet, QAQ
– Even though I know it’s staged, it’s still so sweet!!
– During the rehearsal live yesterday, I saw them trying for half the day, figuring out how to kiss realistically while borrowing positions. Straight male Doo Doo couldn’t bend down, and Xiao Mi Liang almost slapped him! Now that I see them, I just want to laugh. What should I do? 2333
