After Fei Yanchen left, Hua Yun turned to Shen Yu’an and said, “I apologize for the offense.”
Her clothes were damp and it was already October. Wearing such clothes made her shiver from the cold.
Shen Yu’an didn’t refuse and allowed Hua Yun to help her change into a clean set of clothes.
It was as if Fei Yanchen had timed his return perfectly. Just as Shen Yu’an finished changing, he walked in.
Hua Yun had thought ahead and also brought two towels for them to dry their hair with.
Fei Yanchen took the towel and began to gentle dry Shen Yu’an’s hair.
He asked, “Is there anywhere else on your body that doesn’t feel well?”
Sitting on the dry ground, Shen Yu’an enjoyed Fei Yanchen’s gentle hair drying service and replied in a somewhat drowsy tone, “I’m much better now.”
Their interaction, with one asking and the other answering, appeared harmonious, leaving Hua Yun feeling left out on the side.
However, she didn’t mind and stood alone, observing Shen Yu’an with a dim and unclear expression.
When Shen Yu’an’s hair was halfway dry, Fei Yanchen wrapped another dry towel around her hair.
He finally looked up at Hua Yun, who had been standing on the side like an invisible person.
In a cold tone, he asked, “Madam Hua, please explain to me why An’an has become like this.”
He asked this question because after Hua Yun had examined Shen Yu’an’s pulse, she had asked them to come here.
This spring water was extraordinary, indicating that the problem with An’an’s body was related to them.
As Shen Yu’an listened to Fei Yanchen’s straightforward questioning of Hua Yun, besides being moved, she felt a tiny bit… embarrassed.
Although she knew that a sudden Gu insect had appeared in her body, it was undoubtedly related to the people here.
But Fei Yanchen knew nothing about it, yet he could still be so straightforward.
However, in front of outsiders, of course, she would stand by A Chen’s side.
With that thought in mind, she weakly leaned back on Fei Yanchen, who was behind her, and also looked at Hua Yun.
She also wanted to know what was really going on with her body.
And that Gu insect, she had to figure out what kind of worm it was.
Hua Yun looked directly at Shen Yu’an and Fei Yanchen, with an apologetic tone, saying, “I take the blame for not teaching Ling’er properly. I will apologize to Miss Shen on her behalf. When Miss Shen’s health improves, I will have her personally apologize to you as well.”
Seeing that Fei Yanchen was about to speak up again, Hua Yun hurriedly said, “Young Master Fei, please take Miss Shen back first. We will inform both of you about everything later.”
“We have also found the companion you were looking for. We will bring him to meet you shortly.”
Seeing Hua Yun’s sincere attitude and her willingness to bring Shen Erlang over, Shen Yu’an decided to give them a chance to explain.
She gently tugged at Fei Yanchen’s clothes.
Fei Yanchen, seeing Shen Yu’an’s actions, snorted coldly and lifted her up, saying, “Let’s go.”
In the blink of an eye, Shen Yu’an was once again being carried, this time in front of other people.
Her face turned slightly red, and she struggled in Fei Yanchen’s arms, saying, “A Chen, please let me down. I can walk on my own.”
“Don’t make a fuss.”
Fei Yanchen raised his hand and lightly patted Shen Yu’an’s back. Shen Yu’an saw Hua Yun smiling and watching them from afar, her face blushing. She decided to stop struggling altogether.
She closed her eyes and pretended not to know anything.
The three people outside finally saw Shen Yu’an and Fei Yanchen coming out, and the tension in their hearts finally eased.
Hua Ling rushed over in a worried manner. Fei Yanchen was really tall, and Hua Ling was two years younger than Shen Yu’an, so she had to jump up on tiptoes to get a glimpse of Shen Yu’an.
Seeing that Shen Yu’an still had her eyes closed, Hua Ling became anxious.
She was so anxious that her eyes turned red. “Is sister Yu’an not feeling better yet?”
Hua Yun followed behind and walked out. “Ling’er, don’t act recklessly.”
Hua Ling retorted, dissatisfied, “I’m not acting recklessly. I’m just concerned about sister Yu’an.”
Feeling the chaos around her, Shen Yu’an made a decisive decision—to play dead!
Fei Yanchen carried the feigning Shen Yu’an and walked forward, with Hua Ling hastily following behind.
In a low voice, Hua Yun said, “Later, we’ll bring that boy from yesterday and hand him over to them.”
Hua Ji was somewhat shocked. “Are you sure that girl is…”
Hua Yun nodded, her expression complex. “Everything matches up. Unless something unexpected happens, it should be her.”
While they spoke, they didn’t avoid Hua Nan. Although he didn’t understand everything, he could roughly guess that Shen Yu’an was an important person to them.
Instead of following them directly, they went to Hua Yun’s Gu room. They lifted the still unconscious Shen Erlang onto their backs.
When Shen Erlang was brought here, he had already passed out from the impact. Furthermore, the elders from the three clans had given him a large amount of medication to ensure he wouldn’t wake up during their experiments. As a result, he still hadn’t regained consciousness.
On the other side, Fei Yanchen had already returned to the Hua family, carrying Shen Yu’an in his arms, followed by a little tail.
Once Fei Yanchen set Shen Yu’an down, she slowly opened her eyes.
Upon seeing Shen Yu’an awake, Hua Ling became chatty and concerned. However, realizing that she might be bothering Shen Yu’an, she lowered her voice.
Fei Yanchen’s gaze was quite intimidating, making Hua Ling, who stood on the other side of Shen Yu’an, feel scared.
She knew she had done something wrong this time, and just as she was about to bravely admit her mistake, the other three members of the Hua family returned.
They also brought back the unconscious Shen Erlang.
When they appeared, Shen Yu’an immediately spotted Shen Erlang. She stood up happily and called out, “Second Brother!”
Fei Yanchen, watching her excited reaction towards another man, felt a tinge of jealousy. However, knowing that the person was her brother, he suppressed that feeling and supported her by her side.
