After entering the room, he took a new pair of slippers from the cabinet and threw them at Lu Xiao’s feet, “You go to the living room first and sit for a while, you can just take whatever you want to drink.” He then turned around and went into the kitchen.

“Xiao Bai, Lu Xiao brought you something, I’ll place it here. What’s on the menu today?”

Lu Xiao felt uneasy sitting in the living room, so he went and stood by the kitchen door, “Ge, let me help you.”

“Take out the bowl, food will be served in a while.”

Lu Xiao put down his chopsticks last. “Xiao Bai, this is the first time I’ve seen someone eat slower than you.”

Bai Sheng ignored him and brought up the washed fruits.

“Ge, your cooking is really delicious.”

“That’s right, I always come over to eat whenever I have time on weekends.”

Bai Sheng focused on peeling the orange in his hand. “Ge, can I come again in the future?”

Chen Yan didn’t answer him this time, but Bai Sheng ate a piece of orange and hummed.

Before leaving, the two became friends.
