Wei Yuxian blushed early in the morning, lifting her head to sneak a glance at the man’s face, wanting to see if he was awake.
If Fu Xuanyi wasn’t awake, she would quietly get up to avoid any embarrassment.
But if Fu Xuanyi was awake… then…
She didn’t know how to avoid the embarrassment.
She discreetly tried to withdraw from the man’s embrace a little, but as soon as she moved back slightly, she felt resistance. In the dim light, it was the man using his large hand to hold her.
With the obstruction of the man’s large hand, she couldn’t retreat further. If she wanted to leave his embrace, she would have to move his hand away.
Having retreated just enough, Wei Yuxian could now discreetly check if the man had woken up.
She lifted her head to peek, doing so as quietly as a small animal.
The man’s eyes remained closed, his breathing steady, appearing as though he hadn’t woken up.
To confirm whether he had woken up or not, she softly called out, “Xuan…”
Her voice was as small as a mosquito’s, but given their current proximity, if Fu Xuanyi was awake, he would be able to hear it.
After calling out, the man didn’t react, as if he truly hadn’t woken up.
Wei Yuxian breathed a sigh of relief, thinking it was lucky that he hadn’t woken up, so she could quietly get up.
Little did she know, Fu Xuanyi had been awake for a while, pretending to sleep only after sensing that the person in his arms had woken up.
He just wanted to see what reaction the person in his arms would have.
He waited, anticipating her next move.

Wei Yuxian finally snapped out of it, feeling so shy that she wanted to immediately bury herself under the covers!
She didn’t know where she found the strength, but she pushed him away and hid under the covers, wrapping herself up like a silkworm.

Fu Xuanyi’s smile widened, quietly watching her adorable actions, his face filled with indulgence.
The shy and obedient “Dear” seemed even cuter, her cheeks flushed, making him want to kiss her right then and there.
There was a world of difference between the Fu Xuanyi with his jokes and the Fu Xuanyi without them.
After his dear wrapped herself up like a cute silkworm, Fu Xuanyi tapped on the blanket as if knocking on a door, his deep, melodious voice saying, “My dear, open the door.”
How could Wei Yuxian possibly open the door? She wished she could stay in this blanket forever and never come out!
She didn’t even make a sound, just wriggled under the blanket, looking exactly like a silkworm.
With little air inside the blanket and the indoor heating on full blast, Wei Yuxian soon found it difficult to breathe.
But Fu Xuanyi was still beside her, and she really didn’t want to leave her golden cocoon!
Fu Xuanyi was pretending to sleep! He had just been pretending to sleep!

Wei Yuxian refused to come out from under the blanket, no matter how much Fu Xuanyi knocked on the “door”, she wouldn’t make a sound.
Fearing she might actually suffocate, Fu Xuanyi had to personally peel back her golden cocoon and rescue her from within.
Wei Yuxian’s face turned even redder from being stifled under the blanket, resembling a ripe tomato. Her hair became disheveled, with strands flying here and there.
Fu Xuanyi rubbed her head, helping to smooth down her hair, chuckling softly.
Unable to bear being with him like this any longer, Wei Yuxian quickly got out of bed and slipped into the bathroom.
Standing in front of the mirror, she looked at her flushed face, feeling as if she had done something shameful. She quickly turned on the water and splashed her face, trying to cool down the heat on her face!
