Chapter 165: Guidance

As Shen Yu’an was lost in her thoughts, she didn’t notice that Song Shi had snatched away the blanket covering her.

Without the blanket, Shen Yu’an shivered and instantly became much more awake.

Song Shi glanced at her, her hair all messy like a bird’s nest, and couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

Meanwhile, the courtyard was filled with the lively sounds of Shen Sanlang and the others asking questions and discussing martial arts.

Shen Yu’an decided not to go back to sleep and sat up, bravely facing the world with her messy hair as she walked outside.

Song Shi followed behind and smoothed her hair, making it look less messy.

The Shen family courtyard had a water well, so they didn’t need to go outside to fetch water for daily use.

The well was located near the kitchen in the other side of the courtyard. Shen Yu’an quickly washed up and then returned to this side to watch Fei Yanchen guiding Shen Sanlang and the others.

The group stood in the courtyard, and every breath they took formed a white mist in the cold air.

Fei Yanchen held a small wooden stick and pointed to a spot on Shen Sanlang’s abdomen about three fingers above his waist.

He said, “When you strike with your palm, exert thirty percent more force at this point. Try to keep your breath steady, and your explosive power will be even greater.”

“Alright.” Shen Sanlang replied solemnly, and then he attempted to strike with his palm following Fei Yanchen’s guidance.

As Shen Sanlang struck with his palm, he didn’t notice that Shen Yu’an had silently approached his side.

Shen Yu’an calmly received his strike and then began sparring with Shen Sanlang.

Shen Sanlang was momentarily stunned but quickly reacted, and then he enthusiastically engaged in a mock fight with Shen Yu’an.

When the two were in a deadlock, Fei Yanchen stepped aside and pointed out their shortcomings.

“Sanlang, when An’An raises her hand, it’s your chance to counterattack with your elbow targeting her neck.”

“An’An, Sanlang’s lack of strength is his weakness when facing you, but you shouldn’t rely solely on strength. Using intelligence to win is the most efficient way,” Fei Yanchen advised.

Shen Yu’an rolled her eyes at him, huffed, and turned away.

Fei Dong reluctantly took over the task of guiding the others.

Shen Yu’an looked at Fei Yanchen’s expression with some suspicion. The way he looked at her suggested that he thought she would be interested in what was inside the box.

Curiosity got the better of her, and she couldn’t help but wonder what was inside the box.
