The Beginning of Natural Disaster, I Won by Hoarding Tens of Billions of Supplies
The Beginning of Natural Disaster, I Won by Hoarding Tens of Billions of Supplies | Chapter 32: Keep Hoarding, As Long As She Didn’t Hoard to Death

[edited]

She suddenly increased her speed and drifted around a corner.

The turn was sudden and she nearly threw herself out.

Luckily, she managed to maintain her balance by making a wide circle and she successfully arrived at the Expo center.

Although the Expo Center only has 12 floors. The exhibition halls were tall and it’s giving off a grand and imposing presence.

Jiang Ning circled around but didn’t see anyone inside or any shattered glass.

According to the industrial layout. Le Town is centered on furniture manufacturing and the surrounding areas are mostly factories. The commercial residences are on the other side of the river and not even a shadow can be seen in the pouring rain.

When she looked around. All she saw was floodwaters, except for the tall expo center

The glass on the expo center was thick and couldn’t be shattered with a hammer.

Jiang Ning used a window breaker. She shakes it several times before successfully breaking it.

Truly living up to its status as a 4A tourist attraction, the expo center had a large area, but unfortunately, the magnificent hall was already submerged in the floodwaters. However, looking up, she could still see it’s magnificence.

The darkness swallowed all its brilliance and now she could only survey the various stylish furniture around her with the light from her flashlight.

The complicated water flow effectively protected the expo center.

Or perhaps the expo center didn’t have the survival supplies those survivors needed. In any case, it hadn’t been damaged before Jiang Ning arrived.

There are furniture pieces everywhere and it demonstrates the ability of human to produce anything that one the mind can imagine.

Chinese, European, American, African, Korean, modern, post-modern, classical, neo-classical, pastoral, cyberpunk…

Furniture from around the globe gathered together with a rich and diverse range of designs. There was nothing you could think of that they couldn’t create.

Jiang Ning didn’t rush to take anything but headed straight to the top floor, where the furniture museum was located.

The expo center had a power outage.  Everything was dark and empty and only the sound of her footsteps echoed.

Without an elevator, she had to walk around and finally climbed up to the top floor. Her feet were so tired that they went numb.

The entire floor was filled with historical exhibits, with photo displays, physical objects, various types of wood and ancient furniture. Some of which were dilapidated while others remained intact.

Holding a flashlight, she wandered through the different exhibition areas, walking for nearly half an hour until she finally reached the centerpiece. A piece of wood about four meters long, with an irregular mottled shape and a brown black color appeared in front of Jiang Ning.

This is ebony.

Buried underground for thousands or even tens of thousands of years, the abrasive furniture has formed ” plant mummies” that look like wood but not wood and look like stone but not stone.

The spirit of ten thousand woods, hailed as the fossil of wood, has long been surrounded by legends of one or two ebony being worth one or two gold.

Jiang Ning couldn’t estimate its value. After all, no matter how precious it was, it couldn’t fill one’s stomach, making it worthless even to survivors.

The transparent glass encased the ebony, and it’s not easy to take it out.

Explosion proof glass, no matter how you hit it with a hammer. It wouldn’t shatter.

Jiang Ning put on a face mask, took out a chainsaw from the space and the piercing sound echoed continuously.

After a lot of effort, she successfully sawed open the explosion proof glass, and a fragrant smell came out.

Funny enough, the ebony smells really good.

There was no time to waste. She quickly stored this treasure in the space.

Continuing with the chainsaw, there were all kinds of furniture wood like south sea huanghuali, agarwood, and small leafed purple sandalwood. The valuable ones are covered with glass, and the others are separated by caution tape and are prohibited from being touched by tourists.

Jiang Ning couldn’t tell which ones were spirited, but anyway, she just threw them all into the space.

As she walked, she finally saw the thousand layered bed made of purple sandalwood.

Exquisitely carved, flawless and impeccable.

But in the darkness, it looked somewhat eerie and terrifying.

The size was too large; the living room in the space was almost occupied by the RV and it can’t accommodate such a large bed.

She could only roll up her sleeves and dismantled the bed!

After dismantling, she threw everything into the space. Including the matching tables, chairs, stools, and dressing tables.

There were also many other ancient furniture pieces made of different materials, such as Hu tables, Grand Master chairs, Imperial Concubine chairs, and many others whose names she couldn’t recall.

Honestly, her hands were sweating when she smashed the glass display cases, even though she had several layers of masks on her face.

It’s only in times of natural disasters and the apocalypse that she would dare to do such things. If it were in peacetime, she’d probably be working like a sewing machine to death.

She didn’t spare anything, not even the wooden sticks.

Jiang Ning was so tired that she was sweating profusely, and she suddenly felt dizzy.

She found a place to sit down and rest, took out some chocolate to replenish her energy, and drank a can of Red Bull.

Once she felt a bit better, she turned off the flashlight and entered the space in a flash.

The space was scattered with a lot of old furniture, but most of it had disappeared.

Jiang Ning was shocked by what she saw. The living room was about 30 square meters, with a spiral staircase leading to the second floor.

The rooms, kitchen, and bathrooms were all larger, and the master bedroom even had a walk in closet.

After counting, there was an extra bedroom and a study.

Yes, now it has a four bedroom, two living room, three bathroom, one study house, with the spiral staircase only reaching the top of the wall, indicating there was still room for expansion.

What’s even more surprising was the black soil garden. Last time it was only about 20 square meters, but now it looked… 300 square meters?

Jiang Ning guessed right; the ancient wood with spirituality really did the trick!

Thanks to the ebony, thanks to the purple sandalwood, thanks to all the spirits that sacrificed themselves for the space.

As for those that the space didn’t recognize, she didn’t plan to throw them away. They could be used as firewood when it gets extremely cold.

This trip was more than worth it. She estimated an extra 400 square meters, which was about 1200 cubic meters in total.

Exiting the space, Jiang Ning headed to the next floor.

The next two floors were filled with Chinese style furniture, it’s too much to take all of in. She could only rely on her intuition and pick out the expensive ones and throw them into the space.

She piled them all up in the garden, layer by layer.

If the space could consume them then it’s better and if not, she could find an opportunity to take them out for exchange later.

With an additional 1200 cubic meters all at once, Jiang Ning felt much more confident. As long as she didn’t hoard to death, she would keep hoarding.

The eighth floor had a service hall, a screening room, dozens of restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and convenience stores, presumably for tourists and guests participating in exhibitions to rest.

All the meat and vegetables are spoiled, but in order to receive the guests of the expo. The restaurant has prepared stocks in advance. There are tens of thousands of kilograms of rice, noodles and other grains, and more than three hundred barrels of oil, and the varieties are very rich, as well as various seasonings, tea, wine, beverages, etc.

She even found twenty unopened bottles of top grade caviar and thirty bottles of Lafite red wine in a high end Western restaurant, all still within their expiration dates.

The refrigerator that stores valuable ingredients has its own power storage box. The three large refrigerators are full of steaks, lamb chops, foie gras, Tania blue lobster, Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, etc.

The unexpected harvest was so big that Jiang Ning took away all of it, including the refrigerator.

Except for the expired and moldy items, she took everything from the convenience store and bakery.

She even took the coffee beans, sugar, milk, and even the coffee machines from the cafe.

After sweeping through everything, she gained over a hundred more cubic meters of supplies.

After browsing the eighth floor, she discovered a large maintenance supply department with two high power generators inside.

In such a large expo center, there might be power outages, so the generators were probably for temporary emergencies.

But to operate the generators, diesel was needed.

Jiang Ning searched the engine room but found no diesel…
