Shao Xin had a little guess in his heart when he was caught by the little demon below.
And as expected, Shao Bai was really found.
Yin Xuezhuo was more shrewd than he had imagined. If he had just killed Shao Bai directly, he would not hate him to the extent of this, but there would have been little hesitation, and no need to be forced to do those things that endanger the human race.
But Yin Xuezhuo did not kill him.
Currently, it was Ji Yan who was talking to Shao Xin, “Your brother is inside. He should have been seriously injured. We haven’t pounded the snake for a while ….Shao Xin, do you want to go with him?”
Ji Yan’s tone was very gentle, unlike Yin Xuezhuo, who directly threatened or used means to control Shao Xin’s sanity whenever he opened his mouth. She sincerely regarded him as a friend.
He lowered his eyes, and after a long silence, he shook his head before saying, “I don’t want to go with him, nor do I want to stay here, as you know.”
Ji Yan smiled, “Then do you remember our agreement? You don’t have to go with him, you just need to go in and help us test him out, see how bad he’s hurt and let him take this, after that we’ll let him get out of here alive.”
She took out a pill. This was an elixir that could even make a monk in the transformation stage unarmed directly. This medicine would only attack intermittently and was difficult to cure. Once Shao Bai took it, even if he left alive, he wasn’t able to make much more waves, and taking advantage of it, they could set off to find Yin Miaorou smoothly.
Of course Shao Bai’s life was more valuable, to be precise, his ability was valuable.
It would be better to abolish him and use him for another wave than just killing him.
This was Ji Yan’s idea. Yin Xuezhuo’s original intention was to lock Shao Bai, but Ji Yan was still thinking about the plot. It was hard for her to explain the follow-up plot directly to Yin Xuezhuo, so she could only make a reasonable effort.
In fact, she didn’t explain much either. Yin Xuezhuo directly said “I know”, his expression was extremely impatient, but he readily agreed to her.
Shao Xin stared at the elixir in Ji Yan’s hand, and without a word, he took it.
He knew that this was the only option he had, and it was too illusory for him to expect Shao Bai to kill Yin Xuezhuo to take him away. Ji Yan promised him to let Shao Bai live, so letting him live was the last bit of brotherhood he could do.
With this thought, he stepped into the cave.
The injured Shao Bai sat cross-legged inside, healing his injuries with mediation, hearing footsteps, he didn’t panic until he met Shao Xin’s eyes: “Why are you?”
Shao Xin sneered, “What, didn’t you come here to see me? Seriously, Shao Bai, you don’t need to care about my life and death.”
Shao Bai silently pursed his lips, and said lightly: “In my heart, you are always my brother. If you are alive, I will protect you. If you die, I will avenge you.”
Leaning on the stone wall, Shao Xin looked at him coldly, unmoved, just faintly spit out two words, “Hypocrisy.”
It wasn’t the first time Shao Bai had been treated so coldly by Shao Xin, Shao Bai looked at him carefully for a moment and added, “Your cultivation base has been sealed by that demon. If I don’t come to save you, you will become a demon captive for the rest of your life?”
Shao Xin’s expression changed slightly, and he snapped: “That has nothing to do with you!”
Shao Bai asked faintly: “If it has nothing to do with me, then what are you doing here? You don’t have the ability to find me. Did the Demon let you come? Let you come here to persuade me to surrender?”
Shao Xin choked, and only after a long silence did he say, “You have thrown yourself into the snare and are trapped here. Do you have any other options besides just getting caught?”
His tone was mocking, but Shao Bai just smiled. “Brother, do you think I will single-handedly provoke Yin Xuezhuo without any leverage?”
Hearing his words, his brows frowned.
Collecting the true Qi circulating in his body, he slowly stood up, took out the storage magic treasure hidden in his sleeve, and continued: “The thing hidden in this is my leverage. With this thing, the demon is not my opponent.”
He said with such certainty, no less than a foundation-building monk who said that Yuan Ying would not be his opponent. His tone was too arrogant, and Shao Xin was uncertain: “How is this possible!”
With a smile, Shao Bai explained, “Do you still remember, what kind of nightmare is that demon?”
“He was born with the Divine Sword. The Divine Sword ’Wan Qiu’ was hidden in Penglai. It has absorbed the aura of heaven and earth for thousands of years. A sword-bound nightmare is stronger than the usual one. It was also because of this sword that Ming Shu accidentally caught the nightmare.”
“Even if the nightmare has grown into an adult and turned into a demon, the Wan Qiu sword that gave him birth back then is still of the same origin as him. In addition, Ming Shu once used his profound ice scales to forge Wan Qiu to increase its power. It’s easy to kill him with the sword.”
After Master Ming Shu’s death, Wan Qiu’s whereabouts were unknown. Later it was accidentally found byShao Bai. But to control the divine sword requires a strong enough cultivation, otherwise it was useless.. So the first thing he did in breaking through the transformation was to take out the sword.
Yin Xuezhuo could perceive the aura of Wan Qiu, so Shao Bai kept it hidden, just to avoid stunning the snake before finding his younger brother, so that Yin Xuezhuo could perceive the danger.
