I Became the Villain’s Pendant
I Became the Villain’s Pendant Chapter 68.2

In the woods.

Shao Bai’s pupils gradually regained their brilliance, breaking out of the dream, he looked around and find himself in the woods and also realized that he fell into an illusion. After that, the first thought that came to his mind was his brother Shao Xin and set off to find him.

By the time he found him, he was trapped in an illusion far deeper than he had imagined, unable to extricate himself. Which meant Shao Xin’s heart demons were more powerful.

Shao Bai remained silent for a long time as he looked at his brother, who was sitting on the ground, before forcibly pulling him out of it.

Jolted awake Shao Xin looked dazed, and the moment he saw Shao Bai, his pupils shrank instantly.

“You…” He looked at him in disbelief, then looked down at himself.

The real memories returned quickly like a tide, making him realize that everything that happened just now in what seemed like years, but a mere few hours was nothing more than an illusion, all flashy dreams and unreal.

He lowered his head and looked at his hands, couldn’t withstand the reality, he closed his eyes forcefully.

In his dream, he was the child of his father’s most beloved woman, born to be pampered, raised carefree, and well-clothed.

His family was well off, his mother had not died young, his aunt had never targeted him, and his elder brother had never been more favored than him.

Even after the famine, when the family’s fortune was wiped out and the family moved, his father was unwilling to sacrifice him to save food. He did not wander outside, and when he was a little older, he was introduced to a hermit by his father’s friend to learn from him and practice a high-strength spell.

Since childhood, he was talented and intelligent, and he was the proud son of heaven.

A smooth life, but all of it turned out to be just a dream in a minute.

Shao Xin closed his eyes tightly, and the man who possessed all of this, in reality, was standing in front of him, pulling him out of such a beautiful illusion and forcing him to face such a cruel reality.

Shao Xin sometimes really hates him, his flare was his deepest satire, that kind of hate was very powerless, and also could not say exactly whether he hated him, or hated his parents, or hated himself.

Shao Bai stretched out his hand to him, “Brother, you have fallen into an illusion, now follow me, we have to go to the inn immediately.”

Shao Xin sullenly got up by himself, Shao Bai glanced at him with complicated eyes and opened his mouth several times, but in the end, he did not say anything to be more precise he didn’t know what to say, so he finally remained silent.

All the way to the inn they remained speechless until they returned and found an inn empty.

The room was messy and the fragments of wooden puppets were scattered on the ground seeing this Shao Bai’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Shao Xin examined it for a moment and said: “I was lured out by this thing. When I left, Ji Yan seemed to be asleep. Since she is missing now I don’t know if something will happen.”

There was a breath of devil on it.

Shao Xin’s heart sank and was speechless.

“She may be with the person behind the scenes, but she wears my magic weapon, no matter how she escapes, she can’t run very far.” Shao Bai quipped from the side.

Tracing down they found Ji Yan and Kong Yu without much effort.

Ji Yan was covered with blood, and Kong Yu was also injured to varying degrees. He stood on a side holding his chest with bruises all over his body, even his face was purple and red, and looked very embarrassed. Shao Xin was very shocked to see Kong Yu in this state: “Senior Brother! What’s wrong with you, are you okay?”

Ji Yan said, “Thanks to this young man who protected me, it turns out that you know each other.”

Shao Xin looked at Ji Yan and saw she looked normal and there was no serious problem, then only he was relieved.

“This is my senior brother Kong Yu, who is humble and gentle, and has always been upright. Now he has been helping us… I didn’t expect him to save you by accident.”

Looking at his uncontrollable smile, Ji Yan also smiled awkwardly.

But secretly thought in her heart: Shao Xin, how can you think so simply?

Shao Xin’s thoughts were biased toward her in the past, but now he trusts Kong Yu with all his heart. He was simply a silly boy. If he meet a high rank, they would definitely cheat him into being a fool.

No wonder, in the original book, Shao Xin was also attracted by Yin Miaorou’s tenderness. Yin Miaorou tried many times, and one bitter trick was enough to make Shao Xin compromise and write off so many years of brotherly grudges.

In Ji Yan’s heart, there was still a bit of hatred for iron and steel. She glanced at Kong Yu on the side, and the latter immediately took the words swiftly: “I was going down the mountain to do business today. I did not expect to feel a devil’s breath here, so after chasing it over, I saw this girl being chased by a wooden puppet, so I helped her. But who knows, after I made a move, many demons started to appear in the dark. It’s really hard to fight.”

Ji Yan also nodded in cooperation.

The blood on her body was not fake, it looks like she was fighting something violently.

Although Shao Bai had doubts in his heart, it made sense when he saw the two singing and agreed with each other, so he put down the doubts for the time being. When he was in the illusion, he faintly noticed that the curse was passive, but it was different from what he thought.

If ordinary people touched Wan Qiu Jian, the spell would take effect, and forcibly pull him out of the illusion. Who knew this time the spell would break automatically before it took effect?

What kind of strength is there to break the spell?

…Is it Yin Xuezhuo again?

If it was Yin Xuezhuo, it would be reasonable for him to come at Wan Qiu Jian.

It’s just that Yin Xuezhuo was injured by him, and it is reasonable to say that it would be difficult to regain his vitality for a while. Why should he secretly play tricks in such a shameful manner, it was not at all like Yin Xuezhuo’s arrogant and reckless style.

It was still difficult for Shao Bai to dispel his doubts, while he was thinking. Ji Yan’s back was tight and tense, and a little nervous.

——Yin Xuezhuo was barely invisible now, fearing that he couldn’t hold on.

Ji Yan felt a headache when thinking of him. Last time he was severely injured and was difficult to transform, and only got better lately and would occasionally pop up. But now he had overdrawn his spell to the point of not being able to hold an invisible state for long.

She was really angry and helpless and had nothing to say to this person.

If this drags on for a long time, maybe Wan Qiu Jian will start making trouble again.

For the time being, she could only hide Yin Xuezhuo. As she was racking her brains to think of ways to hide him and help him hide his aura.

Kong Yu started the show with her.

A surge of demonic energy suddenly struck from behind Shao Bai.

Shao Bai was very keen in his sense, noticing the strangeness in the air he immediately drew his sword with a wave, the sword qi swept straight out a long way, but was dodged nimbly.

It was the same ugly wooden puppet, which Ji Yan had seen in the room, but it was very agile. Once Shao Bai spotted it, he turned around and followed it.

While yelling: “Don’t even think about running!” His body also swept out quickly.

Ji Yan gave a wink to Kong Yu, the latter understood, and his hand hidden in his sleeve secretly squeezed a magic trick, and countless wooden puppets surrounded them in a group and started to attack them.

Shao Xin’s expression changed, and he immediately drew out his sword, assumed a defensive posture, and quickly fought with the wooden puppet.

Kong Yu also drew out his sword and played an act of fighting seriously, at least nine out of his ten moves were paddling, and also exchanged glances with Ji Yan in between fighting.

To find a way to solve Shao Xin first.

Ji Yan reached a tacit agreement with him. One of the puppets suddenly grabbed Ji Yan causing her to scream “Ah— — ” and dragged her to the other side. Hearing the scream Shao Xin turned back, and was anxious to see her being taken away, and fought fiercely with the puppet to break out of this but couldn’t get out of this  entanglement, just then he heard: “Junior Brother, you go save Miss Ji first, there is me here, don’t worry.” Kong Yu said.

“Then I’ll be grateful to senior brother.” After speaking, he immediately rushed in the direction where Ji Yan disappeared.

He ran in the same direction but lost her trace, while looking around he saw her torn skirt on the branch, and his heart sank. When he was staring at the branch in thought, the back of his neck suddenly hurt.

The darkness appeared in front of his eyes, he fell to the ground softly without a grunt.

Kong Yu was seen standing behind him with wood in his hand and dropping it to the ground he said to Ji Yan hiding in the dark: “Let’s go, that wooden puppet is not dead yet, so it should be able to lead Shao Bai there.”

The author has something to say:

Shao Xin: You two played me!

Ji Yan Kong Yu: Who told you to be so simple.
