Chapter 363: If You Love Me, Kiss Me.
Warning: Somewhat explicit ero content.
Ye Wenxin then stripped Ghost Mother beside her as well, revealing a moon-like mark. Ghost Mother, satiated and unwilling to move, felt no embarrassment and allowed Ye Wenxin to observe her.
Ye Wenxin continued her busy exploration, searching and feeling for a long time, but was unable to find the Yin-Yang Pearls.
“Strange; the pearls shouldn’t be digestible.” According to Celestial Master Zhong’s memories, the Yin-Yang Pearls were crucial to Ghost Mother’s transformation. If the pearls were removed, the two ghosts wouldn’t fuse back together, and would become two independent ghosts.
Propriety between genders prevented Celestial Master Zhong from completing this plan. Now that both ghosts were out, Ye Wenxin intended to examine them, but found the pearls harder to locate than expected.
She had touched every place she should have, and only one inappropriate place remained. Ye Wenxin hesitated, looking at the Yin-Yang Ghosts who were allowing her to manipulate them, wondering if she should take the final step.
“Do you two really have no feelings at all?” asked Ye Wenxin, concerned that her actions might be crossing a line that the Yin-Yang Ghosts could not accept.
The Yin-Yang Ghosts nodded, seeming puzzled as to why Ye Wenxin would ask such an idiotic question after stripping them bare. After witnessing such a good example with Jin Xiaoqin, the ghosts realized that Ye Wenxin intended to play with them.
“Then I’ll reach inside to check. You girls don’t mind, right?”
The Yin-Yang Ghosts shook their heads. Ghost Mother even extended herself generously, adopting a posture that suggested she was open to Ye Wenxin’s actions. Ye Wenxin wasn’t sure whether to be grateful for the ghosts’ lack of modesty or to appreciate Celestial Master Zhong for giving her this opportunity.
After ensuring that no one would barge in, Ye Wenxin leaned them against her and began probing with her fingers. Both ghosts simultaneously let out a sound, looking distressed as they clutched Ye Wenxin’s clothes. Ye Wenxin finally located the Yin-Yang Pearls. She continued to explore with her fingers, stirring inside and tracking the pearls’ movements, which resulted in even more intense reactions from the Yin-Yang Ghosts.
“Hang in there,” Ye Wenxin said, thinking the ghosts were crying out in pain. She spoke soothingly and placed a kiss on their foreheads.
“No, I can’t!” Ghost Mother, seemingly losing control, struggled out of Ye Wenxin’s embrace, attempting to flee, but she fell to the ground, and soon cried out loud.
In an instant, something began to emerge from a certain place. It was a Yin Fetus. Ghost Mother’s face paled, and she unexpectedly wailed. While Ye Wenxin was momentarily stunned by the wailing, Ghost Mother suddenly punched her in frustration.
“I endured for so long, and now you made me give birth!” She cried sorrowfully, as if she had gradually realized how disgusting it was to be able to produce a Yin Fetus.
Despite her complaints, Ghost Mother soon gave birth to several more Yin Fetuses. She seemed utterly unable to control herself, and her cries grew louder and louder. The noise attracted the attention of the One Short Sect’s Daoist priests, but since they knew it was Ye Wenxin’s tent, they dared not approach casually.
Ye Wenxin felt exceptionally awkward. She quickly cast a soundproofing talisman and looked at the Yin Fetuses on the ground. It might be her imagination, but the Yin Fetuses appeared a little cute.
They were translucent like jelly, resembling slimes. Each had a pair of big eyes which, at this moment, were looking up at them with a completely innocent expression.
“You’ve been holding it in all this time?” Ye Wenxin finally focused on Ghost Mother, unable to understand why she had been enduring it. The Yin Pearl had granted her the ability, but now, for some unknown reason, Ghost Mother seemed to be resisting her own instincts.
Ye Wenxin couldn’t comprehend it, but seeing Ghost Mother cry so miserably, she didn’t want to press further. She helplessly cradled Ghost Mother, soothing her, while Sword Ghost looked on with envy, yearning for affection.
As maternal instincts overwhelmed her, Ye Wenxin found it difficult to care for both at the same time, especially with Ghost Mother’s emotional outburst. She gently kissed Sword Ghost’s ghost horns and coaxed her into the umbrella sword, giving herself space to deal with Ghost Mother alone.
Ghost Mother seemed to have cried herself out and was hungry again, frantically demanding Yin energy from Ye Wenxin. This time, she consumed it with a kind of reckless abandon, as if resigning herself to her fate.
“Am I a monster?”
“Oh, no, you’re just a ghost,” Ye Wenxin replied, decisively ending the discussion. Ghost Mother was momentarily stunned, as if she suddenly realized her previous tears were in vain. She wanted to cry again, but Ye Wenxin quickly reassured her, “This is your natural ability. You can control these Yin Fetuses, make them fight, and gather information. Look, in this vast world, only you have this ability.”
Ye Wenxin tried to downplay the situation, reminiscing about her time with Liu Churan. As a child, Liu Churan was a frequent crier, and Ye Wenxin, hating trouble, had a rocky relationship with her. Eventually, the crying child disappeared, replaced by the current Liu Churan. The Demon Lord also vanished from the world, leaving only the current Ye Wenxin.
Life continued, and after experiencing various things, Ye Wenxin noticed changes in herself. She seemed to have gained more patience with children, but still struggled to grasp what these children truly desired.
So, Ye Wenxin had to pull out snippets from Celestial Master Zhong’s memories to show Ghost Mother that being self-sufficient was not something to be ashamed of.
“But other ghosts don’t do this.” Ghost Mother still felt quite self-conscious, especially lately, as she noticed she didn’t want Ye Wenxin to see her in such a state.
“That’s because they’re not as high-level as you. Look how advanced you are—capable of giving birth and still beautiful,” Ye Wenxin responded, offering a reassuring explanation about Ghost Mother’s high status among the ghost clan.
Compared to a hundred-year-old Ghost King, a naturally formed Ghost Mother after a thousand years was incredibly rare. If there was a fitting analogy, she could be likened to a queen bee, but with the added benefit of being self-sufficient, not needing to worry about finding a mate.
If Ghost Mother and Sword Ghost were to merge, the consequences would be unpredictable and potentially cataclysmic.
Ghost Mother was finally moved by Ye Wenxin’s words. Ye Wenxin was once again relieved that Ghost Mother only had half of her original EQ and IQ. With just a bit of flattery, it was possible to make her happy.
Ghost Mother began to smile purely again, yet she still worriedly asked, “So, does that mean Ah Ran will definitely not dislike me?”
Hearing Liu Churan’s name, Ye Wenxin smiled silently, unsure of how to respond. If she took out the Yin-Yang Pearls, Ghost Mother might choose to stay by Liu Churan’s side.
However, she hadn’t retrieved the pearls yet, and her problem remained unresolved. Ye Wenxin couldn’t let Liu Churan know that she had Ghost Mother. Given Liu Churan’s personality, she would go to great lengths to obtain Ghost Mother.
Faced with Ghost Mother’s hopeful gaze, Ye Wenxin resorted to the most clichéd tactic: she kissed Ghost Mother’s ghost horns and said with feigned sincerity, “Of course not. But if you go to Ah Ran’s side, what should I do?”
TL: Somewhat explicit ero scene, that immediately turned weird and awkward.
Ye Wenxin, in hindsight: Why do I feel like a scumbag? [Feeling guilty]
Author, in hindsight: Well, how can you make a harem if you aren’t a scumbag?
