The Case Of The 27 Knife Stabs Chapter 6.4

In the police interrogation room, facing the incriminating video, Yang Shufang knew she could not deny it.

But she still claimed it was all because she heard Han Zecheng say that her husband instigated the murder so she did it to cover up his crime.

Han Zecheng then put a set of photos in front of her:

“Yang Shufang, the day you left the police station, you drove around the city, you went to Street Garden Pavilion for half an hour, and then to the teahouse located in that area, you actually searched the whole alley for more than an hour.”

“This is the same itinerary that you had when you met with Wang Rui on the day of the murder, right?”

“Well Sorry I lied; there was no notebook, so you made a trip for nothing. I think the story should go something like this:

You were angry when Wang Rui blackmailed Li Hai with the affair, but you weren’t angry with him for the affair.

After all his affair wasn’t just a fling that lasted a day or two and your marriage was originally a union of interests. You were unable to accept the impact of the scandal on your careers. You received the courier and saw Li Hai’s email, so you decided to handle the matter yourself. You gave Wang Rui money, but he is still kept lurking around.

Li Hai wanted to marry Liao Xiaoqing, so of course you couldn’t accept it. You knew about that past incident between Wang Rui and Liao Xiaoqing, and you thought you could take advantage of it. So on May 17, you asked Wang Rui to meet again in the Street Garden, took him to the teahouse to negotiate, where you took the opportunity to drug him.

After he lost consciousness you went to Liao Xiaoqing’s house, hypnotized her, and took both her and Wang Rui to the alley of Xiaonan Street. Thus, the story of a weak woman who single handedly killed her enemy with 27 knive stabs was staged.”

Han Zecheng laid out the suicide note written by Liao Xiaoqing in a hypnotized state:

“Liao Xiaoqing is sick, she has been undergoing treatment, “Pleasure Therapy” in which she keeps thinking of happy things, and the happiest thing for her is that in 2011 she will marry the man she loves, in 2011, she will turn 27 years old. She was looking forward to her 27 years old birthday because she will finally be able to open up about her relationship, because it is an extramarital relationship up until that day she was unable to say a word about it.”

“To hypnotize her you needed to do it in her relaxed state, so subconsciously, she would add the element of happiness to it. You hypnotized her to stab Wang Rui with a knife. She did as told and she stabbed him exactly 27 times, you hypnotized her to write a suicide note, she did but she also drew 27 petal flowers beside it. While she was being controlled by you to do those terrible things, all she was thinking about was getting her small happiness. You are so cruel.”

Yang Shufang smiled coldly:

“Is Officer Han writing a novel? The story is very good, but I do not know what 27 stabs or 27 petal flowers you are talking about, I have only done the hypnosis that one time at the treatment center, and it was just an attempt, I was trying to protect my husband and family. I did not want him to go to jail.”

As for taking the same itinerary as the deceased that day well it was what my husband had told me.”

“On the night of May 17, your husband asked Liao Xiaoyu to dinner to talk about breaking up. The year 2011 is the year your child will turn 18, your prenuptial agreement says that the couple’s property can be divided after the child turns 18, which means that after this time if your husband asked for a divorce, he would not have to give away all his money. Of course you will hate Liao Xiaoqing, the crazy woman in your eyes is about to steal your husband.”

“Liao Xiaoyu is the same, she has been with him for so many years, but in the end it was her sister who took the prize. So the day Li Hai and Liao Xiaoqing ate together, that dinner was not very pleasant, the waiter responsible for waiting on their private box to this day remembers the quarrelsome pair of men and women.

So that is to say that Liao Xiaoyu and your husband have a solid alibi.”

“Whereas you alone have led us to the teahouse. That day you and Wang Rui tried to be very low-key so the teahouse waiter does not remember you, but the teahouse cashier has security surveillance cameras that captured you and Wang Rui entering and leaving.”

“So don’t say that your husband was the one who told you. Everything was planned by you. You hate Liao Xiaoqing, and you knew how to control her. You started approaching her in the treatment center under the pretense of visiting an old classmate, expressing your goodwill, making her think that her relationship with Li Hai was supported by your understanding.”

“However, the poor girl could never have imagined that you were planting the idea of killing someone with a borrowed knife inside her head.”

Yang Shufang sat there rigidly and did not speak again.

After Han Zecheng walked out of the interrogation room, Xia Fan happily followed him holding the file folder. Their first case was successfully solved so she was in a pretty good mood.

“After this incident, I’m afraid Liao Xiaoqing will have to be treated for a few more years, but her attending doctor said he is confident that she will be able to recover.”

Han Zecheng nodded and from afar he could see Liao Xiaoyu standing there waiting.

“Officer Han, how long do I have to repeat the same statement, I want to take my sister back.”

Han Zecheng did not answer her and instead said:

“Your sister never leaves the house, how could you not know that Yang Shufang approached her? Do you really believe that man’s wife will have good intentions towards her? She is your sister, she is not as shrewd as you guys, no matter what she is still your sister.” He finished ignoring her and left.

Behind him, Liao Xiaoyu stood frozen in place; the light in the hallway hit her body, dragging out a long shadow.

Xia Fan looked at Liao Xiaoyu and quickly followed after Han Zecheng.

She caught up to him up at the staircase, and said along the way: “I just saw Li Hai’s son, he looks just like his mother. Do you think that Li Hai will still marry Liao Xiaoqing?”

“Who knows, if it were me, it would be hard.”

“Why?”

“If there were no accident with Yang Shufang, he could still pursue his so-called true love, but for his true love, his wife did such a thing, and also has to face jail. How can he explain this to his son? How can this marriage continue?”

“In the end, Liao Xiaoqing is the most pitiful of them all. I hope she can really find happiness at the age of 27.”

“Everyone has a story, Xia Fan, you are too emotional. It will be hard to be a police officer.”

“Team leader Han, I now think you are really a good cop.”
