Chapter 78: 宋知许不在家，宝宝陪着然然

Song Zhi Xu is not at home, the baby keeps Ran Ran company. 

Song Papa on the other end of the phone froze for a moment and looked at his wife who was sleeping beside him. He had only recently been able to go back to his bedroom after unremitting efforts, but this time he could not be disturbed, otherwise he would wake her up, his wife would get angry and he would be thrown out again.

“Hn, that’s quite good.” Song Papa finished his words indifferently, looking at Xiao Shilan next to him moving around and frowning as if she had been disturbed by the noise,so he hurriedly said to Song Zhi Xu, “All right,if everything is okay then don’t disturb our sleep anymore.”

It was not yet dawn on his side, so Song Papa hurriedly hung up the phone and lay down again.

After his phone call was disconnected, Song Zhi Xu’s mobile phone rang lightly, automatically returning to the number page, he took the phone down from his ear and pursed his lips.

Originally, he wanted to show off to his dad, but the result was that the other party ignored him, making his words stuck in his chest. He felt somehow uncomfortable. 

After thinking about it, Song Zhi Xu called Xiao Shilan again, and after a few rings, a somewhat disgruntled voice appeared on the other side.

“Song Zhi Xu, you better be up to something big.”

Song Zhi Xu spoke directly again, “Mom, I’ve found you a daughter-in-law.”

Xiao Shilan sat up abruptly from the bed. Her voice had some excitement in it as she said, 

“Song Zhi Xu, you are able to find a wife?”

 “Hm.” This time, finally Song Zhi Xu was satisfied and turned his head to glance at the bedroom door before adding, “I’ll bring him back to see you guys in a few days.”

“Good, my son has finally made good progress.” Xiao Shilan’s sleepiness was gone since she could not wait to tidy up and get things ready and let Song Zhi Xu bring the person home. After a while, she remembered that her husband still did not know the good news so she turned around and slapped the man on the face who was pretending to be sleeping, “Wake up, your son has found a partner (in marriage).”

Song Papa could only pretend that he had just woken up and hurriedly answered twice.

Song Zhi Xu talked to Xiao Shilan a few more times, but he didn’t say Lin Ran’s name.

After hanging up the phone, he returned to the bedroom in a happy mood, sat on the edge of the bed and watched Lin Ran for a while, then he couldn’t help but pinch Lin Ran’s cheeks that had recently grown a little flesh due to the amount of food he had eaten.

But he didn’t dare to use any force, for fear of waking Lin Ran up.

Only when it was almost time did Song Zhi Xu change his clothes and go out to work.

When Lin Ran woke up from his sleep, he was the only one in bed. After a nap, his body was still a bit weak,so when he opened his eyes he was the only one in the room, and he suddenly felt somehow uncomfortable.

He buried his head under the quilt and touched his underbelly and said in a small voice, 

“Baby, when Song Zhi Xu is not here and Ran Ran is only alone at home, when can you crawl out and accompany Ran Ran?”

But the baby in Lin Ran’s belly was too small to give him any response. Lin Ran did not even feel the presence of the baby in his belly.

After staying under the quilt for a while, Lin Ran felt a little sad, and with his unstable emotions during pregnancy, his tears fell down uncontrollably.

Lin Ran couldn’t help but cry under the quilt. He cried for a while, only then he felt that he was too bored and stuffy under the quilt. He could not breathe well so he opened the quilt off and lay down on the pillow and continued to cry.

Song Zhi Xu was working and happened to glance at the monitor screen on his mobile phone and noticed that Lin Ran had covered his head under the quilt and was not moving. He thought that Lin Ran was sick yet he stared at the screen for a long time but did not move his eyes.

After a while, Lin Ran pulled back the quilt again and then lay down on the pillow, his shoulders shrugging as he cried.

Song Zhi Xu’s heart tightened, without even thinking about it, he immediately picked up his mobile phone to call Lin Ran.

Although Lin Ran’s mobile phone was not used often, he always put it in his bedroom. The ringing sound made Lin Ran’s body tremble.Lin Ran’s body trembled or shocked for a moment, it took a moment for him to realize that it was his mobile phone.

There were only two people who knew his mobile phone number and could call him, Song Zhi Xu and his big brother (Gege); therefore Lin Ran didn’t hesitate to get up and get his mobile phone so when he saw Song Zhi Xu’s name on the screen, Lin Ran paused and put it to his ear.

He whispered to the other end of the screen, “Song Zhi Xu.”

“Ran Ran, you’ve woken up.” Song Zhi Xu could hear a nasal tone in Lin Ran’s voice and asked in a small voice, “Did you cry just now?”

Lin Ran rubbed the back of his hand against his eyes. His eyes were still a little wet and he made a small ‘Hm’ sound in a nasal voice and said, “Ran Ran… Ran Ran has been thinking about Song Zhi Xu, when I wake up, I am already thinking about you.”

When Song Zhi Xu heard Lin Ran’s voice, he felt a pang of pain, but he had work to do and couldn’t go back home yet and after he glanced at the time, Song Zhi Xu said,

“Baby, wait for me at home, I’ll be back in two hours, okay?”

Lin Ran nodded, but remembered that he was on the phone so Song Zhi Xu couldn’t see him, so he said in a small voice again, 

“Okay, Ran Ran will wait for Song Zhi Xu to come back.”

“Obedient.” Song Zhi Xu listened to Lin Ran’s voice, knew that he felt better, before he put his mind at ease.

The two of them didn’t hang up, so Song Zhi Xu put his mobile phone aside and speeded up his work. He had been focusing most of his energy and time on Lin Ran recently. Although the company didn’t need him to be there all the time, he still left a lot of things behind. 

At the other end, Lin Ran got up from the bed, went downstairs to clean up the living room briefly and sat cross-legged on the floor in front of the floor-to-ceiling bed with a fish bowl in his arms.

So that when Song Zhi Xu came back, he would be able to see him immediately.

When Song Zhi Xu was about to get off from work, Lin Ran picked up his mobile phone again and said in a small voice, 

“Song Zhi Xu, Ran Ran wants to eat strawberries, is that okay?”

Song Zhi Xu had just stood up and he was tidying his things up, the moment he heard Lin Ran’s words, he smiled.

“Of course, I’ll go buy it for you later. Is there anything else that you want to eat?”

Lin Ran thought carefully and shook his head.

“I don’t know.”

He also didn’t know what other fruits he could eat either. He just knew strawberries because Song Zhi Xu had bought him strawberry cake so he liked to eat strawberries.
